Data were collected through personal-administered questionnaire. Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis results revealed that system quality, information quality, service quality, user ability, and educational services were significantly influence users satisfaction. Unarguably, portals are among one of the important advancements in this present digital age. This paper therefore aimed to examine the factors affecting student satisfaction with university portal. The factors investigated are: system quality, information quality, user ability and services availability. A self-completion questionnaire was constructed and administered to a sample of 170 students in several faculties. Regression and correlation analysis were employed to determine the relationships and find out which of the factors had the strongest explanatory power. The outcome revealed that service availability, information quality and system quality affect student satisfaction with major determinant happened to be service availability. The respondents used in this study are students; future studies can extend the research to lecturer, both academic and non-academic staff. These results were explained using cultural perspective. Understanding the expectations of the students has positive effects on the performance of the university and increases their satisfaction. This paper also contributes to the current literature by discussing its implications on both researchers and practitioners. The result of this study in the case of user ability posits that cultural education affects satisfaction of students using university portal. This study adopted stratified random sampling technique to select a sample size of 394 from a total population of 40,609 undergraduate students of the University of Ilorin. Questionnaire was the instrument that was used in collecting data for the study. Out of all the 394 copies of questionnaire administered, only 362 copies were returned completely filled and validated for this study. Findings show that IT professionals are responsive to students&#39; complaints, but they do not show enough empathy to them; the students found the portal useful, and they are satisfied with the overall use of the portal; and system quality, service quality, and information quality predict students&#39; satisfaction of the portal. The study shows that information quality has the highest significant impact in determining the perceived usefulness of a web portal while system quality has the least significant impact in determining undergraduate students’ satisfaction with web portals and considers the benefits of using the portal and the problems associated with the use of portal. A pure quantitative method using descriptive survey approach is adopted. A questionnaire was used for data collection. Collected data was analysed using percentages and frequency count; multiple correlation and regression. The results reveal that students were generally satisfied with the e-portal system with, 89.3% indicating they were adequately satisfied, satisfied, and moderately satisfied. On the other hand, 11.1% had little satisfaction with the portal. Information/content quality, system quality, and ease of use were indicated to determine users’ satisfaction. Furthermore, the entire user satisfaction dimensions positively and significantly correlate with and predict students’ satisfaction with the web-portal. Despite their critical importance, there has been relatively little research devoted to evaluating best practice concepts in the design and content of web portals vis-à-vis user satisfaction. In an attempt to contribute to the abovementioned research domain, this paper proposes an evaluation instrument-the University Portal Usability Assessment Index (UPUAI)-which rates the quality of university portals in four areas, namely: (i) informational content, (ii) transactional content, (iii) website design, and (iv) student satisfaction. The UPAI&#39;s evaluation procedures are discussed in detail and, by way of validation, the UPAI was used to assess the quality of the web portals of the top five accredited universities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The study involved distributing a modified version of the CSUQ to 185 college students from Mindanao State University Lanao del Norte Agricultural College. The questionnaire measured four categories: Student portal Usefulness (SYSUSE), Information Quality (INFOQUAL), Interface Quality (INTERQUAL), and Overall Usability (OVERALL). Data was collected through an online questionnaire, and the responses were processed using Microsoft Office Excel. The study found that the student portal performed well in terms of usefulness, information quality, interface quality, and overall usability, positively impacting students&#39; academic experience. However, it is important to note that the findings are limited to the specific university and may not be generalizable to other institutions. The study recommends continuous monitoring and updating of the portal to ensure its relevance and user-friendliness, as well as seeking regular user feedback to identify areas for improvement.
