for this I shall hope.<p> <A name="23"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/lamentations/3-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>The mercies of Jehovah are that we were not consumed, for his compassions were not finished.<p> <A name="24"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/lamentations/3-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span>New for the mornings: great thy faithfulness.<p> <A name="25"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/lamentations/3-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span>Jehovah my portion, said my soul;
