Democrats for Europe (YDE) stand in full solidarity with our friends and allies in LYMEC and the ALDE Party following the Russian Prosecutor General’s unjust decision to designate their activities as “undesirable” in Russia. This blatant attempt to silence and intimidate liberal voices is yet another attack on democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. It is also a clear recognition of the powerful and unwavering stance that LYMEC and ALDE Party have taken against Russia’s war in Ukraine and the systematic repression of freedoms in Russia.</p> <p>As LYMEC and ALDE Party have rightly stated, this designation does not weaken their cause—it strengthens it. They are not anti-Russia; they are anti-Putin’s Russia. They stand for democracy, human rights, and freedom of speech. They have been, and will continue to be, united and unwavering in their condemnation of the illegal annexation of Crimea in 2014 and Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine since 2022.</p> <p>We strongly condemn the Kremlin’s increasing repression of political opponents, journalists, activists, and ordinary citizens. The systematic labeling of individuals and organizations as “foreign agents,” “extremists,” or “undesirable” is a tool of intimidation designed to crush any form of dissent. It is unacceptable, and we stand in solidarity with those in Russia who continue to fight for democracy despite the immense risks they face.</p> <p>YDE fully supports LYMEC and ALDE Party in their continued efforts to uphold European values. The Russian government may attempt to silence dissent, but it will never succeed in extinguishing the ideals of democracy and human rights that we all fight for. This unjust designation will not deter us—it only strengthens our resolve.</p> <p>Now, more than ever, democrats across Europe must stand united against authoritarianism. The European Union must not fall into the trap of such short-sighted games.</p> <p>Our unwavering support goes to our Ukrainian peers—young women and men who have stood resilient in the name of democracy and sovereignty. We look forward to working alongside them in the near future, within a stronger, greater, and more authoritative European Union—one that proudly welcomes Ukrainian heroes into their rightful home.</p> <p>If this war has proven anything, it is that Europe must be strong. This gap translates to a difference of approximately one and a half months’ worth of salary per year. Despite gradual narrowing over the years, progress remains slow, and the economic disadvantages experienced by women continue to accumulate. This gap affects not only individual women but also families and communities, perpetuating wider economic disparities.</p> <p class="has-black-color has-text-color">For us, the principle is simple: <strong>Equal work should always mean equal pay. </strong>To truly tackle the gender pay gap, we need to address and correct the deep-seated imbalances in our society. </p> <h4>Steps Towards Fair Pay and Equality</h4> <p class="has-black-color has-text-color">Transparent pay practices, equal opportunities, and supportive workplace policies are essential to bridge this gap. delegation attended the<strong> LevelUp! </strong>event in Brussels organized by <strong>Youth Forum.</strong></p> <p class="has-black-color has-text-color">More than 1000 young people from all over Europe gathered in Brussels to learn new things, share their ideas and experiences, and of course make some international friendships.</p> <p class="has-black-color has-text-color">The event took place inside the <strong>European Parliament</strong>, symbolically showing us the openness of European institutions towards its citizens. Through many interesting and interactive workshops and side events, which participants have chosen for themselves, we learned how to actively participate as a part of society.</p> <p class="has-text-align-left has-black-color has-text-color">As Young Democrats for Europe, we cannot stress enough the importance of these events which promote the <strong>importance of active opportunity to hear the speeches of <strong>Jean-Noel Barrot</strong> (French Minister Delegate in charge of Europe), <strong>Sandro Gozi</strong> (EDP Secretary General), <strong>Nicola Democrats for Europe (YDE) stand in full solidarity with our friends and allies in LYMEC and the ALDE Party following the Russian Prosecutor General’s unjust decision to designate their activities as “undesirable” in Russia. This blatant attempt to silence and intimidate liberal voices is yet another attack on democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. It is also a clear recognition of the powerful and unwavering stance that LYMEC and ALDE Party have taken against Russia’s war in Ukraine and the systematic repression of freedoms in Russia.</p> <p>As LYMEC and ALDE Party have rightly stated, this designation does not weaken their cause—it strengthens it. They are not anti-Russia; they are anti-Putin’s Russia. They stand for democracy, human rights, and freedom of speech. They have been, and will continue to be, united and unwavering in their condemnation of the illegal annexation of Crimea in 2014 and Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine since 2022.</p> <p>We strongly condemn the Kremlin’s increasing repression of political opponents, journalists, activists, and ordinary citizens. The systematic labeling of individuals and organizations as “foreign agents,” “extremists,” or “undesirable” is a tool of intimidation designed to crush any form of dissent. It is unacceptable, and we stand in solidarity with those in Russia who continue to fight for democracy despite the immense risks they face.</p> <p>YDE fully supports LYMEC and ALDE Party in their continued efforts to uphold European values. The Russian government may attempt to silence dissent, but it will never succeed in extinguishing the ideals of democracy and human rights that we all fight for. This unjust designation will not deter us—it only strengthens our resolve.</p> <p>Now, more than ever, democrats across Europe must stand united against authoritarianism. The European Union must not fall into the trap of such short-sighted games.</p> <p>Our unwavering support goes to our Ukrainian peers—young women and men who have stood resilient in the name of democracy and sovereignty. activists to engage in the European elections.<br>The communication team of Renew Europe Now (composed of ALDE, the European Democratic Party and Renaissance) is looking for young people across Europe who are pro-European, motivated, social media savvy and close to our values and policies to engage them in a communication campaign ahead of the upcoming European elections.</p> <p delegation attended the<strong> LevelUp! </strong>event in Brussels organized by <strong>Youth Forum.</strong></p> <p class="has-black-color has-text-color">More than 1000 young people from all over Europe gathered in Brussels to learn new things, share their ideas and experiences, and of course make some international friendships.</p> <p class="has-black-color has-text-color">The event took place inside the <strong>European Parliament</strong>, symbolically showing us the openness of European institutions towards its citizens. Through many interesting and interactive workshops and side events, which participants have chosen for themselves, we learned how to actively participate as a part of society.</p> <p class="has-text-align-left has-black-color has-text-color">As Young Democrats for Europe, we cannot stress enough the importance of these events which promote the <strong>importance of active Members of our delegation were Asier Areitio (President), Alice Bernard-Montini (Secretary General), Sergio Medina (Treasurer) and Antonella Velić (Vicepresident).</p> <p class="has-black-color has-text-color">Preparing for the upcoming European elections, after months of hard work, we finally unvield the <strong>EDP Manifesto</strong>! opportunity to hear the speeches of <strong>Jean-Noel Barrot</strong> (French Minister Delegate in charge of Europe), <strong>Sandro Gozi</strong> (EDP Secretary General), <strong>Nicola Danti</strong> (Italian MEP), and <strong>François Bayrou</strong> (President of EDP) along with the insights of many other delegates attending the Convention.</p> <p class="has-black-color
