indices</strong> </p> <p class="paragraphe "> The Commodity Research Bureau has stopped updating the price of cattle hides on the Chicago market. As a result, the series now uses the data released by the IMF. Consequently, the price indices for hides in foreign currencies and in euros have been significantly revised, as have the related aggregate indices in foreign currencies and in euros (prices of agro-industrial materials, prices of industrial raw materials, all commodities index).<br> Furthermore, following the correction of an error in the inclusion of the prices of olive oil and lamb in foreign currencies, the foreign currency indices for oilseeds and meat have been revised, as have the aggregated foreign currency indices which depend on them: the foreign currency index of the prices of food commodities and, more marginally, the foreign currency index of all imported raw materials (excluding energy).</p> </div> <h2 class="bloc intertitre-impression " id="titre-bloc-3">October 2024</h2> <div class="bloc paragraphes "> <p class="paragraphe "> <strong>10/31/2024 – Evolution of the methodology for annual agricultural producer price indices (IPPAP)</strong> </p> <p class="paragraphe "> Since 11/31/2024, the methodology for IPPAP indices has slightly evolved to improve the handling of missing/unreported prices. Items affected are hops, cereal and protein crop seeds, potato plants, wines and sheep milk. All series in reference year 2015 are stopped and replaced by new series in base 2021. A correspondence table between the old and new series is available on webpage <a class="renvoi" data-i18n="" href="/en/information/2868052">Correspondence tables </a>. It contains the Idbank identifier in base 2015, the Idbank identifier in base 2021 and the wording in base 2015, which is identical to that in base 2021. </p> </div> <div class="bloc paragraphes "> <p class="paragraphe "> <strong>06/20/2024 - Annual national accounts series in the new 2020 benchmark revision</strong> </p> <p class="paragraphe "> Each year, at the end of May, Insee disseminates updated macroeconomic data from the national accounts for the past three years (2021, 2022, and 2023) to account for new information received since the previous year. In May 2024, the national accounts will change their "benchmark" year to 2020. This benchmark revision allows for the recalibration of the entire series of national accounts using better sources and the modification of certain methods to better describe the functioning of the economy. Each benchmark revision in France results in a back-calculation of the national accounts from 1949 onwards. </p> </div> <div class="bloc paragraphes "> <p class="paragraphe "> <strong>06/07/2024 - Tourism indicators for residents of metropolitan France: series distribution resumes</strong> </p> <p class="paragraphe "> Since the end of 2022, the series of indicators concerning tourism by residents of metropolitan France have no longer been published, due to changes in data collection and the methodological work required to extend the series without interruption. These series are now available from the end of 2022 until March 2024, the date of the last update. Dissemination is now resuming its usual updating rhythm. The heading of the index TP12a has been modified, it is now entitled “Energy and communication networking except fiber optics”.
