<t><p class="indent1">Do not let my enemies triumph over me. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/psalms/25-3.htm"><b>3</b></a></span>Indeed, none of those who [expectantly] wait for You will be ashamed; <t><p class="indent1">Those who turn away from what is right <i>and</i> deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed (humiliated, embarrassed). <poetry><p class="paragraph"><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/psalms/25-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>Let me know Your ways, O LORD; <t><p class="indent1">Teach me Your paths. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/psalms/25-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>Guide me in Your truth and teach me, <t><p class="indent1">For You are the God of my salvation; <t><p class="indent1">For You [and only You] I wait [expectantly] all the day long. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/psalms/25-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>Remember, O LORD, Your [tender] compassion and Your lovingkindnesses, <t><p class="indent1">For they have been from of old. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/psalms/25-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions; <t><p class="indent1">According to Your lovingkindness remember me, <t><p class="indent1">For Your goodness’ sake, O LORD. <poetry><p class="paragraph"><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/psalms/25-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>Good and upright is the LORD; <t><p class="indent1">Therefore He instructs sinners in the way. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/psalms/25-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>He leads the humble in justice, <t><p class="indent1">And He teaches the humble His way. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/psalms/25-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>All the paths of the LORD are lovingkindness <i>and</i> goodness and truth <i>and</i> faithfulness <t><p class="indent1">To those who keep His covenant and His testimonies. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/psalms/25-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>For Your name’s sake, O LORD, <t><p class="indent1">Pardon my wickedness <i>and</i> my guilt, for they are great. <poetry><p class="paragraph"><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/psalms/25-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>Who is the man who fears the LORD [with awe-inspired reverence and worships Him with submissive wonder]? <t><p class="indent1">He will teach him [through His word] in the way he should choose. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/psalms/25-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>His soul will dwell in prosperity <i>and</i> goodness, <t><p class="indent1">And his descendants will inherit the land. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/psalms/25-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>The secret [of the wise counsel] of the LORD is for those who fear Him, <t><p class="indent1">And He will let them know His covenant <i>and</i> reveal to them [through His word] its [deep, inner] meaning. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/psalms/25-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>My eyes are continually toward the LORD, <t><p class="indent1">For He will bring my feet out of the net. <poetry><p class="paragraph"><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/psalms/25-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>Turn to me [LORD] and be gracious to me, <t><p class="indent1">For I am alone and afflicted. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/psalms/25-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>The troubles of my heart are multiplied; <t><p class="indent1">Bring me out of my distresses. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/psalms/25-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>Look upon my affliction and my trouble, <t><p class="indent1">And forgive all my sins. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/psalms/25-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>Look upon my enemies, for they are many;
