for thereby some have entertained angels, not knowing <i>it.</i> <A name="4"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-3.htm"><b>3</b></a></span>Remember those that are in bonds, as <i>if</i> bound with them: <i>and</i> those that suffer evil as being yourselves also in the body. <A name="5"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>Marriage <i>is</i> honorable in all, and the bed <i>is</i> not defiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.<p> <A name="6"></a><p class="hdg">Christ’s Unchanging Nature<p><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span><i>Let your</i> conversation <i>be</i> free from covetousness, <i>and be</i> contented with what ye have: for He hath said, I will not leave thee; I will never, never forsake thee.<p> <A name="7"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>So that we may say with courage, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.<p> <A name="8"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>Remember your guides, who spake the word of God to you; whose faith imitate, considering the <i>happy</i> end of <i>their</i> conversation. <A name="9"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>Jesus Christ <i>is</i> the same yesterday, to day, and for ever: <A name="10"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>be not <i>then</i> carried about by various and strange doctrines; for it is good that the heart be established by grace, <i>and</i> not in meats, in which those that have been <i>most</i> exact, have not profited <i>by them.</i> <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>We have an altar, of which those who perform service in the tabernacle have no right to eat. <A name="12"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>As the bodies of those animals, whose blood <i>being offered</i> for sin is brought into the holy place by the high-priest, are <i>not eaten, but</i> are burnt without the camp. <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>Wherefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people by his own blood, suffered without the gate. <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>Let us then go out unto Him without the camp, bearing his reproach: for we have here no continuing city, <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>but are seeking that which is to come.<p> <A name="16"></a><p class="hdg">Sacrifice, Obedience, and Prayer<p><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of <i>our</i> lips giving thanks to his name. <A name="17"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>But to do good and to communicate forget not; for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.<p> <A name="18"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>Be ruled by those that are your guides, and submit <i>to them:</i> for they watch for your souls; (as those that must give an account) that they may do it with joy and not with uneasiness: for this <i>were</i> unprofitable for you.<p> <A name="19"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>Pray for us; for we are confident that we have a good conscience, desiring in all things to behave well. <A name="20"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>And I the more earnestly intreat <i>you</i> to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.<p> <A name="21"></a><p class="hdg">Benediction and Farewell<p><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the everlasting covenant, <A name="22"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>make you perfect in every good work, to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom <i>be</i> glory for ever and ever. Amen.<p> <A name="23"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>I beseech you, brethren, bear with <i>this</i> word of exhortation: as I have written to you in brief. <A name="24"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span>Know that <i>our</i> brother Timothy is set at liberty, with whom (if he come soon) I will see you. <A name="25"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span>Salute all that preside over you, <i>yea</i> and all the saints. They of Italy salute you.<p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/hebrews/13-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span>Grace be with you all.
