Indeed, the LORD<MH3068> who has chosen<MH977> Jerusalem<MH3389> rebuke<MH1605> you! Is this<MH2088> not a log<MH181> snatched<MH5337> from the fire<MH784>?” <span class="reftext"><a href="/zechariah/3-3.htm"><b>3</b></a></span>Now Joshua<MH3091> was clothed<MH3847> in filthy<MH6674> garments<MH899b> and was standing<MH5975> before<MH6440> the angel<MH4397>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/zechariah/3-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>And he responded<MH6030a> and said<MH559> to those who were standing<MH5975> before<MH6440> him, saying<MH559>, “Remove<MH5493> the filthy<MH6674> garments<MH899b> from him.” Again he said<MH559> to him, “See<MH7200>, I have taken<MH5674a> your guilt<MH5771> away<MH5674a> from you and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[b]</a></span>will clothe<MH3847> you with festive<MH4254> robes<MH4254>.” <span class="reftext"><a href="/zechariah/3-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>Then I said<MH559>, “Have them put<MH7760> a clean<MH2889> headband<MH6797> on his head<MH7218>.” So they put<MH7760> the clean<MH2889> headband<MH6797> on his head<MH7218> and clothed<MH3847> him with garments<MH899b>, while the angel<MH4397> of the LORD<MH3068> was standing<MH5975> by. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/zechariah/3-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>And the angel<MH4397> of the LORD<MH3068> admonished<MH5749b> Joshua<MH3091>, saying<MH559>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/zechariah/3-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>“The LORD<MH3068> of armies<MH6635> says<MH559> this<MH3541>: ‘If<MH518> you walk<MH1980> in My ways<MH1870> and perform<MH8104> My service<MH4931>, then you will both<MH1571> govern<MH1777> My house<MH1004> and be<MH8104> in<MH8104> charge<MH8104> of<MH8104> My courtyards<MH2691a>, and I will grant<MH5414> you <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[c]</a></span>free<MH4109> access<MH4109> among<MH996> these<MH428> who are standing<MH5975> <i>here.</i> <p class="hdg">The Branch</p><span class="reftext"><a href="/zechariah/3-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>Now<MH4994> listen<MH8085>, Joshua<MH3091>, <i>you</i> high<MH1419> priest<MH3548>, you and your friends<MH7453> who are sitting<MH3427> in front<MH6440> of you—indeed<MH3588> they are men<MH376> who are a sign<MH4159>: for behold<MH2009>, I am going to bring<MH935> in<MH935> My servant<MH5650> the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>Branch<MH6780>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/zechariah/3-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>For behold<MH2009>, the stone<MH68> that I have put<MH5414> before<MH6440> Joshua<MH3091>; on one<MH259> stone<MH68> are seven<MH7651> eyes<MH5869>.
