ל<a href="/wiki/%D7%95%D7%A8%D7%A9%D7%94" title="ורשה">וורשה</a>. בד בבד הגיעו לעיר מאות פליטים יהודים ממערב פולין. </p><p>עם כיבוש העיר בידי הגרמנים ב-8 בספטמבר 1939 וסיפוחה לרייך השלישי הוטלו על יהודיה תשלומי כופר, ובוצעו בהם מעשי התעללות ושוד. בין היתר נצטוו יהודים חרדים לצעוד ברחובות העיר עטופים בטליתות, תוך שהוכו בידי הגרמנים, ופאותיהם וזקניהם נגזזו להנאת הקהל הפולני. באוקטובר הוחרמו כל עסקי היהודים בעיר, ובנובמבר חויבו יהודי העיר בענידת <a href="/wiki/%D7%98%D7%9C%D7%90%D7%99_%D7%A6%D7%94%D7%95%D7%91" class="mw-redirect" title="טלאי צהוב">טלאי צהוב</a>. <a href="/wiki/%D7%99%D7%95%D7%93%D7%A0%D7%A8%D7%98" class="mw-redirect" title="יודנרט">יודנרט</a> שמונה בעיר בהמשך נצטווה לספק לגרמנים מאות <a href="/wiki/%D7%A2%D7%91%D7%95%D7%93%D7%95%D7%AA_%D7%9B%D7%A4%D7%99%D7%99%D7%94" class="mw-redirect" title="עבודות כפייה">עובדי כפייה</a> יהודים מדי יום. </p><p>בספטמבר 1940 רוכזו כ-10,600 היהודים ששהו בעיר ב<a href="/wiki/%D7%92%D7%98%D7%95" title="גטו">גטו</a> שהוקם בה, תוך רצח היהודים שדרו ב<a href="/wiki/%D7%91%D7%99%D7%AA_%D7%90%D7%91%D7%95%D7%AA" title="בית אבות">בית האבות</a> בעיר. לאחר מכן, נרצחו גם החולים והנכים היהודים מהעיר. בינואר 1941 רצחו הגרמנים עוד 35 יהודים בעיר. </p><p>ב-21 בפברואר 1941 נערכה בגטו שבעיר <a href="/wiki/%D7%90%D7%A7%D7%A6%D7%99%D7%94" title="אקציה">אקציה</a>. בתחילה נרצחו 25 גברים יהודים מהגטו, וכן כמחצית מהמאושפזים ב<a href="/wiki/%D7%91%D7%99%D7%AA_%D7%97%D7%95%D7%9C%D7%99%D7%9D" title="בית חולים">בית החולים</a> שפעל בו. בהמשך, רוכזו באלימות רבה כל יושבי הגטו במקום ריכוז, וכ-4,000 מהם שולחו במשאיות דחוסות ל<a href="/wiki/%D7%9E%D7%97%D7%A0%D7%94_%D7%A8%D7%99%D7%9B%D7%95%D7%96" title="מחנה ריכוז">מחנה הריכוז</a> <a href="/w/index.php?title=%D7%93%D7%96%27%D7%99%D7%90%D7%9C%D7%93%D7%95%D7%91%D7%95&action=edit&redlink=1" class="new" title="דז'יאלדובו (הדף אינו קיים)">דז'יאלדובו</a>. בשעת האקציה נרצחו יהודים רבים כתוצאה מהתעללות הגרמנים, ונמחצו למוות ילדים יהודים. במחנה הריכוז סבלו היהודים ממעשי התעללות קשים ביותר מצד שומריהם הגרמנים, וכעבור כשבועיים שולחו לגטאות הסביבה. כמה עשרות יהודים נרצחו במחנה הריכוז עצמו, בקברי אחים שנצטוו לחפור בעצמם. </p><p>ב-1 במרץ 1941 שולחו כ-3,000 היהודים האחרונים מהגטו שבעיר למחנה דז'יאלדובו, לאחר שהוחזקו כיממה תחת כיפת השמיים ללא מזון. כמה מאות מהם נרצחו בדרך. לאחר חיסול גטו פלוצק הרסו הגרמנים את <a href="/wiki/%D7%91%D7%99%D7%AA_%D7%A7%D7%91%D7%A8%D7%95%D7%AA" title="בית קברות">בית העלמין</a> היהודי בעיר, השתמשו במצבותיו לריצוף מדרכות העיר, והפכו את שטחו לשדה מרעה
