Dr. Zhu was a professor in Chongqing University. He won seven provincial and ministerial awards for scientific and technological progress, and was selected as one of four outstanding young scientists working in China by The Royal Society of UK and China Science & Technology Association and awarded Royal Society Fellowship in 1994, as well as the national research prize "Fok Ying-Tung Excellent Young Teacher Medal" in 1996. He worked in a variety of places all over the world, including Chongqing University in China, Brunel University in UK, National University of Singapore, Howard University in USA, and ALSTOM Grid Inc., China Southern Power Grid and South China University of Technology (SCUT). <br> He is currently a Professor and director of ISESOOC center in SCUT and National Distinguished Expert in China. He is Chair of IEEE P2781 and P2783 Standard working groups since 2018, Chair of IEEE PES SBLC Technical Committee (China), member of IEEE SMC Technical Committee on intelligent power and energy systems, and member of IEEE SMC Standard Committee, as well as was Chair of IEEE PES SBLC Loads Subcommittee during 2017-2019. He worked at ALSTOM Grid as a Senior Principal Power Systems Engineer and Senior Expert during 2000-2015, and became a Fellow of Alstom Expert Committee in 2013.<br> His research interest is integrated smart energy system optimal operation and control (ISESOOC), as well as power system analysis, smart grid and renewable energy applications. He has published six books as a sole author, and published over 300 papers in the international journals and conferences. <p align="justify" > <p><img src="img/speakers/k.jpg" width="91" height="124"></p> <p><strong>Prof. King Jet TSENG<br> Singapore Institute of Technology, Singapore<br> Fellow IEEE, IET Fellow, IES Fellow</strong></p> <p align="justify">Biography: King-Jet Tseng was born in Singapore and studied at Gan Eng Seng School and Hwa Chong Junior College before receiving his B.Eng. (First Class) and M.Eng. from National University of Singapore, and Ph.D. from Cambridge University in United Kingdom. He has more than 25 years of academic, research, industrial and professional experience in electrical power and energy systems. He has been the Head of Power Engineering Division in Nanyang Technological University and the Board Member of the Singapore Green Building Council. He co-founded the Singapore-Berkeley Building Efficiency and Sustainability for the Tropics (SinBerBEST) program and the Electrical Power Systems Integration Laboratory @ NTU, a Rolls-Royce research facility. He has directly supervised and graduated about 30 PhD students and also inspired a number of technology start-up companies. He is a Fellow of IEEE, a Fellow of IET, a Fellow of IES and registered as Chartered Engineer with UK Engineering Council. Currently, he is the Professor and Director of Electrical Power Engineering at Singapore Institute of Technology. He has made important contributions to interior permanent magnet synchronous machines, resilient grid interconnection of distributed energy resources, dynamic voltage compensation, arc modeling for transient simulations and energy storage systems in utility applications.</p> <p align="justify">&nbsp;</p> <p><img src="img/speakers/3.png" width="91" height="124"></p> <p><strong>Prof. Om P. Malik <br> University of Calgary, Canada<br> Life Fellow IEEE</strong></p> <p>Biography: Om P. Malik (Life Fellow, IEEE) received a bachelor’s degree (National Diploma) in electrical engineering and the M.E. degree in electrical machine design from the University of Roorkee, Roorkee, India, in 1952 and 1962, respectively, the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of London, London, U.K., in 1965, and the D.I.C. degree from the Imperial College of Science and Technology, London, U.K., in 1965. In 1968, he joined the University of Calgary, Calgary, AB, Canada, where he is currently a Professor Emeritus with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is a fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada, the Canadian Academy of Engineering, and the Institution of Electrical Engineers. He is also actively involved in IFAC and is currently the Chair of the IFAC Technical Committee on Power Plants.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><img src="img/speakers/F.jpg" width="91" height="124"></p> <p><strong>Prof. Wenjie Feng <br> South China University of Technology, China</strong></p> <p align="justify">Biography: Wenjie Feng (Senior Member, IEEE) was born in Shangqiu, Henan, China, in 1985. He received the B.Sc. degree from the First Aeronautic College of the Airforce, Xinyang, China, in 2008, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NUST), Nanjing, China, in 2010 and 2013, respectively. <br> From July 2017 to September 2017, he was a Research Fellow with the City University of Hong Kong. From October 2010 to March 2011, he was an Exchange Student with the Institute of High Frequency Engineering, Technische Universität München, Munich, Germany. He is currently a Professor with South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, China. He has authored or coauthored over 100 IEEE journal articles (including 70 IEEE TRANSACTIONS papers) and 80 conference papers. His research interests include wideband circuits and technologies, microwave and millimeter-wave circuits and components, circuits interconnection, and packaging.<br> Dr. Feng was a recipient of the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars in 2018, the Young Scientist Award of ACES-China 2018, and a reviewer for over 20 internationally refereed journals and conferences.
