The vehicle will also come standard with seven air bags. Optional features will include a braking system that automatically brakes the car when it is about to hit an obstacle, and a system that sounds an alarm when the vehicle drifts out of its lane.</p><p>     When powered by a 1.6-liter gasoline engine, the new Elantra can get 13.7 kilometers per liter of fuel. It will be priced from 15.31 million won ($12,995).</p><p>     The South Korean automaker will release the vehicle in the home market first, where it is known as the Avante, followed by rollouts in the U.S. and China. The company is targeting global Elantra sales of 700,000 vehicles in 2016.</p><p>     Hyundai has been grappling with a sales slump in the key markets of South Korea, China and the U.S., with group operating profit declining on the year for five straight quarters through the April-June period.
