he shall <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>consume<MH8354> no<MH3808> vinegar<MH2558>, <i>whether made</i> from wine<MH3196> or strong<MH7941> drink<MH7941>, nor<MH3808> shall he drink<MH8354> any<MH3605> grape<MH6025> juice<MH4952> nor<MH3808> eat<MH398> fresh<MH3892> or dried<MH3002> grapes<MH6025>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/numbers/6-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>All<MH3605> the days<MH3117> of his consecration<MH5145> he shall not eat<MH398> anything<MH4480, 3605> that is produced<MH6213a> from the grape<MH3196> vine<MH1612>, from <i>the</i> seeds<MH2785> even to <i>the</i> skin<MH2085>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/numbers/6-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>‘All<MH3605> the days<MH3117> of his vow<MH5088> of consecration<MH5145> no<MH3808> razor<MH8593> shall pass<MH5674a> over<MH5921> his head<MH7218>. He shall be holy<MH6918> until<MH5704> the days<MH3117> are fulfilled<MH4390> which<MH834> he lives<MH5144b> as<MH5144b> a<MH5144b> Nazirite<MH5144b> for the LORD<MH3068>; he shall let the locks<MH6545> of hair<MH8181> on his head<MH7218> grow<MH1431> long<MH1431>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/numbers/6-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>‘All<MH3605> the days<MH3117> of his life<MH5144b> as<MH5144b> a<MH5144b> Nazirite<MH5144b> for the LORD<MH3068> he shall not come<MH935> up to a dead<MH4191> person<MH5315>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/numbers/6-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>He shall not make<MH2930> himself unclean<MH2930> for his father<MH1> or for his mother<MH517>, for his brother<MH251> or for his sister<MH269>, when they die<MH4194>, because<MH3588> his consecration<MH5145> to God<MH430> is <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>on his head<MH7218>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/numbers/6-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>All<MH3605> the days<MH3117> of his consecration<MH5145> he is holy<MH6918> to the LORD<MH3068>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/numbers/6-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>‘But if<MH3588> <i>someone</i> dies<MH4191> very<MH6621> suddenly<MH6597> beside<MH5921> him and he defiles<MH2930> his consecrated<MH5145> head<MH7218> <i>of hair,</i> then he shall shave<MH1548> his head<MH7218> on the day<MH3117> when he becomes<MH2893> clean<MH2893>; he shall shave<MH1548> it on the seventh<MH7637> day<MH3117>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/numbers/6-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>Then on the eighth<MH8066> day<MH3117> he shall bring<MH935> two<MH8147> turtledoves<MH8449> or<MH176> two<MH8147> young<MH1121> doves<MH3123> to the priest<MH3548>, to the entrance<MH6607> of the tent<MH168> of meeting<MH4150>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/numbers/6-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>And the priest<MH3548> shall offer<MH6213a> one<MH259> as a sin<MH2403b> offering<MH2403b> and <i>the</i> other<MH259> as a burnt<MH5930a> offering<MH5930a>, and make<MH3722a> atonement<MH3722a> for him <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>regarding<MH4480, 834> his sin<MH2398> because<MH5921> of the <i>dead</i> person<MH5315>. And on that same<MH1931> day<MH3117> he shall consecrate<MH6942> his head<MH7218>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/numbers/6-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>and shall live<MH5144b> his days<MH3117> of consecration<MH5145> as<MH5144b> a<MH5144b> Nazirite<MH5144b> for the LORD<MH3068>, and shall bring<MH935> a male<MH3532> lamb<MH3532> a year<MH8141> old<MH1121> as a guilt<MH817> offering<MH817>; but the preceding<MH7223> days<MH3117> will <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[g]</a></span>not<MH5307> count<MH5307>, because<MH3588> his consecration<MH5145> was defiled<MH2930>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/numbers/6-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>‘Now this<MH2088> is the law<MH8451> of the Nazirite<MH5139> when<MH3117> the days<MH3117> of his consecration<MH5145> are fulfilled<MH4390>: he shall bring<MH935> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[h]</a></span>his offering to the entrance<MH6607> of the tent<MH168> of meeting<MH4150>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/numbers/6-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>And he shall present<MH7126> his offering<MH7133a> to the LORD<MH3068>: one<MH259> male<MH3532> lamb<MH3532> a year<MH8141> old<MH1121> without<MH8549> defect<MH8549> as a burnt<MH5930a> offering<MH5930a>, one<MH259> ewe<MH3535> lamb<MH3535> a year<MH8141> old<MH1323> without<MH8549> defect<MH8549> as a sin<MH2403b> offering<MH2403b>, one<MH259> ram<MH352a> without<MH8549> defect<MH8549> as a peace<MH8002> offering<MH8002>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/numbers/6-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>and a basket<MH5536> of unleavened<MH4682> loaves<MH2471> of fine<MH5560> flour<MH5560> mixed<MH1101a> with oil<MH8081> and unleavened<MH4682> wafers<MH7550> spread<MH4886> with oil<MH8081>, along with their grain offering<MH4503> and their drink<MH5262a> offering<MH4503>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/numbers/6-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>Then the priest<MH3548> shall present<MH7126> <i>them</i> before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068> and offer<MH6213a> his sin<MH2403b> offering<MH2403b> and his burnt<MH5930a> offering<MH5930a>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/numbers/6-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>He shall also offer<MH6213a> the ram<MH352a> as a sacrifice<MH2077> of peace<MH8002> offerings<MH8002> to the LORD<MH3068>, together<MH5921> with the basket<MH5536> of unleavened<MH4682> bread<MH4682>; the priest<MH3548> shall also offer<MH6213a> its grain offering<MH4503> and its drink<MH5262a> offering<MH5262a>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/numbers/6-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>The Nazirite<MH5139> shall then shave<MH1548> his consecrated<MH5145> head<MH7218> <i>of hair</i> at the entrance<MH6607> of the tent<MH168> of meeting<MH4150>, and take<MH3947> the consecrated<MH5145> hair<MH8181> of his head<MH7218> and put<MH5414> <i>it</i> on the fire<MH784> which<MH834> is under<MH8478> the sacrifice<MH2077> of peace<MH8002> offerings<MH8002>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/numbers/6-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>And the priest<MH3548> shall take<MH3947> the ram’s<MH352a> shoulder<MH2220> <i>when it has been</i> boiled<MH1311>, and one<MH259> unleavened<MH4682> loaf<MH2471> from the basket<MH5536> and one<MH259> unleavened<MH4682> wafer<MH7550>, and shall put<MH5414> <i>them</i> on the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[i]</a></span>hands<MH3709> of the Nazirite<MH5139> after<MH310> he has shaved<MH1548> his consecrated<MH5145> <i>hair.</i> <span class="reftext"><a href="/numbers/6-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>Then the priest<MH3548> shall wave<MH5130> them as a wave<MH8573> offering<MH8573> before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068>. It is holy<MH6944> for the priest<MH3548>, together<MH5921> with the breast<MH2373> <i>offered as</i> a wave<MH8573> offering<MH8573>, and the thigh<MH7785> <i>offered as</i> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[j]</a></span>a contribution<MH8641>; and afterward<MH310> the Nazirite<MH5139> may drink<MH8354> wine<MH3196>.’ <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/numbers/6-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>“This<MH2088> is the law<MH8451> of the Nazirite<MH5139> who<MH834> vows<MH5087> his offering<MH7133a> to the LORD<MH3068> according<MH5921> to his consecration<MH5145>, in<MH4480, 905> addition<MH4480, 905> to<MH4480, 905> what<MH834> <i>else</i> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[k]</a></span>he can afford<MH5381>; corresponding<MH6310> to his vow<MH5088> which<MH834> he makes<MH5087>, so<MH3651> he shall do<MH6213a> according<MH5921> to the law<MH8451> of his consecration<MH5145>.” <p class="hdg">Aaron’s Benediction</p><p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/numbers/6-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>Then the LORD<MH3068> spoke<MH1696> to Moses<MH4872>, saying<MH559>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/numbers/6-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span>“Speak<MH1696> to Aaron<MH175> and to his sons<MH1121>, saying<MH559>, ‘In<MH3541> this<MH3541> way<MH3541> you shall bless<MH1288> the sons<MH1121> of Israel<MH3478>.
