<h2>IIPImage Users</h2> <p>IIPImage is used by a large and growing list of users throughout the world. These include major museums, art galleries, national libraries, universities, archives, scientific imaging users, astronomers, medical imaging users, foundations and private companies. Here are just a few public examples:</p> <ul> <li>The <a href="http://www.c2rmf.fr/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">C2RMF</a>, the French National Restoration and Research Centre housed within the <a href="http://www.louvre.fr/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Louvre Museum</a> in Paris uses IIPImage extensively to handle its collection of over 250,000 digital images. Some stunning examples of ultra high resolution imagery of paintings are available <a href="http://merovingio.c2rmf.cnrs.fr/iipimage/iipmooviewer-2.0/vangogh.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">here</a> and <a href="http://merovingio.c2rmf.cnrs.fr/iipimage/showcase/Bronzino/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">here</a>. The <a href="http://www.technologies.c2rmf.fr" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">website of the <em>Archives et Nouvelles Technologies de l&#8217;Information</em></a> department also has a <a href="http://www.technologies.c2rmf.fr/imaging/showcase" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">showcase</a> featuring high resolution imagery for art conservation and restoration.</li> <li>The <a title="NGA" href="http://www.nga.gov" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">National Gallery of Art</a> in Washington D.C. use IIPImage as an <a title="IIPImage Case Study: National Gallery of Art, Washington" href="http://iipimage.sourceforge.net/2014/05/iipimage-case-study-national-gallery-of-art-washington/">integral part of their online collection giving users interactive access to dozens of ultra-high-resolution images for collection highlights and thousands of high resolution images of paintings</a>. The image comparison features of IIPMooviewer are also used to enable users to&nbsp;<a href="http://media.nga.gov/content/ngaweb/image-comparator.html?objectid=60&amp;viewtype=TECHNICAL&amp;sequence=4.1" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">synchronize and compare technical images of paintings such as xray, infra-red and ultra-violet fluorescence imaging</a>.</li> <li>Some great examples showing how the IIPMooViewer client can be adapted for advanced uses are available on this <a href="http://cima.ng-london.org.uk/iip/examples" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">demo page</a> of the scientific department of the <a href="http://www.nationalgallery.org.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">National Gallery</a> in London. Demos include image blending, image comparison, slide shows and an image gallery application. High resolution images of the entire National Gallery collection are also available via a collection viewer.</li> <li><a href="http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Upstream_projects#Client-side_interaction" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Wikimedia Commons use IIPImage</a> for displaying large images using either iipzoom or iipmooviewer via their <a href="https://github.com/Toollabs/zoomviewer" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>ZoomViewer</em> module</a>, which is available for all images over 2 megapixels in size.
