Palgrave Macmillan's journals content is available on <a href="https://link.springer.com/" target="_blank" class="is-external">SpringerLink</a> and you can also discover it here on <a href="http://www.palgrave.com/gp" target="_blank" class="is-external">palgrave.com</a>. Table of contents alerts for each issue are emailed to thousands of interested researchers worldwide, while our active, global sales and marketing program works to extend the reach of your paper to relevant audiences.</p><p>In addition, we are proud to offer our authors: </p><h3>Fast, efficient publication</h3><p>As part of the Springer Nature production structure, Palgrave Macmillan's production team uses the latest production technologies to publish journals rapidly in print and online.</p><p>With Springer Nature we are able to take advantage of:</p><p>MyPublication, an electronic submission and online workflow to manage the administrative tasks of the publishing process (please see <a href="https://www.springer.com/gb/authors-editors/journal-author/journal-author-helpdesk/submission/1302#c1264" target="_self" class="is-external">here</a> for more information)</p><p>An advanced e-proofing system which offers authors an easy way of making corrections to their article online, reducing the time it takes to correct proofs and publish your work.</p><h3>Online First</h3><p>Once the initial proof has been corrected and finalized, the article is ready for Online First publication. The article will be forwarded for online publication on SpringerLink in a week's time after the receipt of corrections.</p><p>The Online First service lets users access peer reviewed articles well before print publication. These articles are searchable and citable by their DOI (Digital Object Identifier). With Online First publication the time it takes for critical discoveries to reach the research community is significantly reduced.</p><h3>Article-level metrics</h3><p>Authors can view article-level metrics (ALMs) thanks to our partnership with <a href="http://www.altmetric.com" target="_self" class="is-external">Altmetric,</a> a London-based company which tracks and analyzes the online activity surrounding scholarly literature. This allows us to show detailed statistics on each article’s coverage and discussions in the media and on blogs; any bookmarking, ratings and discussions via bibliographic tools and sites such as Mendeley and ResearchGate; and social media sharing via platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and others. </p><p>If available, the number of shares (based on Altmetric data) for each article is provided alongside citations (based on CrossRef data) on its abstract page on SpringerLink, helping you and your readers to assess the reach and impact of your article.</p><h3>Open access options</h3><p>We offer authors and their funders the option to publish open access research across publication formats: in <a href="https://www.springernature.com/gp/open-research/policies/journal-policies" target="_self" class="is-external">journals</a> and in <a href="http://www.palgrave.com/gp/rights-permissions/open" target="_self" class="is-external">books and chapters</a>. We were one of the first publishers to offer an open access option for the humanities and social sciences, and remain an active participant in the development of sustainable models for open access for these disciplines.</p><p>The open access option is currently available for the majority of our journals, including <a href="https://www.nature.com/palcomms/" target="_self" class="is-external"><em>Humanities & Social Sciences Communications</em></a> (previously <em>Palgrave Communications</em>) - Palgrave’s first fully open access journal. Research published via open access is subject to the same professional and rigorous peer-review process as all other Palgrave Macmillan publications.</p><p>Palgrave offers authors of accepted papers the choice to pay an article processing charge (APC) in order for their article to be made available to non-subscribers immediately upon publication. Articles are made freely available online and are published under a CC BY-NC-ND (Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial No Derivatives 4.0 International licence) or CC BY (Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence).</p><ul><li><a href="https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/" target="_self" class="is-external">CC BY-NC-ND</a>: The article can be shared for non-commercial purposes as long as the authors are credited.
