This page is currently under construction.</a> </p> <p> DEBS 2025 will be a physical conference. In order to appear in the final proceedings, all accepted contributions from all tracks are expected to be presented in person during the conference. More information can be found at this <a href="https://www.tcl.fr/travaux-tramways/travaux-circulation-partielle-sur-les-lignes-t1-et-t4">page</a>. </p--> <h1>Objective</h1> <p> The ACM International Conference on Distributed and Event‐Based Systems (DEBS) is a premier venue for academia and industry to discuss cutting-edge research of distributed and event-based computing and data processing. DEBS 2025 will be a forum dedicated to the dissemination of original research, the discussion of practical insights, and the reporting of experiences relevant to distributed and event‐based systems. </p> <p> We solicit high-quality submissions, with different submission options for authors depending on the nature of their contribution. All submissions will undergo an extensive peer review process. </p> <h1>Scope</h1> <p> The DEBS conference covers a broad range of topics in distributed and event-based computing for various application domains and computing environments. The conference aims to present novel solutions for collecting, detecting, processing, analyzing, and responding to events through distributed middleware, systems, and platforms. DEBS 2025 welcomes submissions focusing on 1) <b>Models, Architectures, Programming, and Query Support</b>, 2) <b>Systems and Software</b>, and 3) <b>Applications and Use-Cases on the following topics</b>: </p> <p> <li>Scalable data stream processing and complex event processing.</li> <li>Dataflow execution and distributed state management.</li> <li>Time series event-based database management.</li> <li>Approximate event-based query processing.</li> <li>Incremental computing, data structures, and materialized view maintenance for relational, graph, and stream data.</li> <li>Security, encryption, forecasting, and in-network processing for data streams.</li> <li>Event-based systems for ML: optimizing end-to-end AI/ML pipelines using event-based systems, i.e., feature engineering, distributed training, and serving.</li> <li>ML for event-based systems: improving performance using AI/ML methods.</li> <li>Cloud, fog, and edge computing, including serverless and FaaS.</li> <li>Hardware acceleration and programmable hardware for event-based systems.</li> <li>Software-defined networking and disaggregated memory architectures for event-based systems.</li> <li>Sustainability, security, reliability, and resilience in event-based systems.</li> <li>Distributed ledger and blockchain for event-based processing.</li> <li>Applications and use-cases regarding Internet-of-Things (IoT), smart cities, virtual and extended/augmented reality, cyber-physical systems, and sensor networks.</li> <li>Applications and use-cases regarding enterprise, finance, healthcare, life sciences, logistics, multimedia analytics, computer/network security, and social networking.</li> </p> <!--p> Topics covered by the conference include, but are not limited to: </p> <p> <b>Models, architectures and paradigms</b>: Complex event processing, event-driven architectures, trustworthy event-based systems, real-time analytics, intelligent event processing, event processing in big and fast data, data stream processing, security and encryption in stream processing, complex event forecasting, in-network processing, logic-based complex event recognition, online relational learning, distributed event pattern learning, event correlation, and pattern languages. </p> <p> <b>Systems and software</b>: Distributed data processing, distributed programming, federated event-based systems, AI/ML for event processing, information-centric networking, software-defined networking, security, reliability and resilience, distributed ledger and blockchains, programmable hardware, energy management, and green computing as well as cloud, fog, ubiquitous and mobile computing. </p> <p> <b>Applications</b>: Use cases, requirements, and applications of distributed and event-based systems in various domains including Internet-of-Things, life sciences, moving object applications, smart cities, cyber-physical systems, sensor networks, social networking, multimedia analytics, finance, healthcare and logistics, computer and network security, smart contracts, and blockchains. Also, relevant topics span enterprise-level computing, including enterprise application integration, real-time enterprises, event-based business process management, and support for enterprises to respond in a timely fashion to changing situations. </p--> <h1 id="diversity">Diversity and Inclusion</h1> <p>The DEBS community joins an integrated effort to promote diversity and inclusion in all aspects of our professional activities.
