The efficiency of the catalysts (base and nucleophiles) and side reactions during the thiol-Michael addition were investigated. Dimethylphenylphosphine efficiently initiated the thiol-Michael addition polymerization for synthesizing a series of bio-based furan polymers with different structure and properties. The benzene rings or hydroxyl groups present in the polymer chains increased the glass transition temperature (Tg) of poly (β-thioether ester). Additionally, copolymers with various compositions were obtained via adding different ratio of 1,6-hexanedithiols to 1,4-benzenedithiols. 1H NMR analysis revealed that experimental ratios of two dithiols monomers matched well with theoretical ratios. The occurrence of a reversible Diels-Alder reaction between furan rings and maleimide groups allowed poly (β-thioether ester) to be dynamically crosslinked. These polymers offer the potentials to produce materials from biomass that have both practical mechanical properties and reprocessing ability. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=copolymers" title="copolymers">copolymers</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Diels-Alder%20reaction" title=" Diels-Alder reaction"> Diels-Alder reaction</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=hydroxymethylfurfural" title=" hydroxymethylfurfural"> hydroxymethylfurfural</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Thiol-Michael%20addition" title=" Thiol-Michael addition"> Thiol-Michael addition</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/68860/bio-furan-based-poly-v-thioether-ester-synthesized-via-thiol-michael-addition-polymerization-with-tunable-structure-and-properties" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/68860.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">330</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">730</span> Evaluation of Duncan-Chang Deformation Parameters of Granular Fill Materials Using Non-Invasive Seismic Wave Methods</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ehsan%20Pegah">Ehsan Pegah</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Huabei%20Liu"> Huabei Liu</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Characterizing the deformation properties of fill materials in a wide stress range always has been an important issue in geotechnical engineering. The hyperbolic Duncan-Chang model is a very popular model of stress-strain relationship that captures the nonlinear deformation of granular geomaterials in a very tractable manner. It consists of a particular set of the model parameters, which are generally measured from an extensive series of laboratory triaxial tests. This practice is both time-consuming and costly, especially in large projects. In addition, undesired effects caused by soil disturbance during the sampling procedure also may yield a large degree of uncertainty in the results. Accordingly, non-invasive geophysical seismic approaches may be utilized as the appropriate alternative surveys for measuring the model parameters based on the seismic wave velocities. To this end, the conventional seismic refraction profiles were carried out in the test sites with the granular fill materials to collect the seismic waves information. The acquired shot gathers are processed, from which the P- and S-wave velocities can be derived. The P-wave velocities are extracted from the Seismic Refraction Tomography (SRT) technique while S-wave velocities are obtained by the Multichannel Analysis of Surface Waves (MASW) method. The velocity values were then utilized with the equations resulting from the rigorous theories of elasticity and soil mechanics to evaluate the Duncan-Chang model parameters. The derived parameters were finally compared with those from laboratory tests to validate the reliability of the results. The findings of this study may confidently serve as the useful references for determination of nonlinear deformation parameters of granular fill geomaterials. Those are environmentally friendly and quite economic, which can yield accurate results under the actual in-situ conditions using the surface seismic methods. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Duncan-Chang%20deformation%20parameters" title="Duncan-Chang deformation parameters">Duncan-Chang deformation parameters</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=granular%20fill%20materials" title=" granular fill materials"> granular fill materials</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=seismic%20waves%20velocity" title=" seismic waves velocity"> seismic waves velocity</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=multichannel%20analysis%20of%20surface%20waves" title=" multichannel analysis of surface waves"> multichannel analysis of surface waves</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=seismic%20refraction%20tomography" title=" seismic refraction tomography"> seismic refraction tomography</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/106481/evaluation-of-duncan-chang-deformation-parameters-of-granular-fill-materials-using-non-invasive-seismic-wave-methods" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/106481.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">182</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">729</span> Evaluation of Two Earliness Cotton Genotypes in Three Ecological Regions</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Gholamhossein%20Hosseini">Gholamhossein Hosseini</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Two earliness cotton genotypes I and II, which had been developed by hybridization and backcross methods between sindise-80 as an early maturing gene parent and two other lines i.e. Red leaf and Bulgare-557 as a second parent, are subjected to different environmental conditions. The early maturing genotypes with coded names of I and II were compared with four native cotton cultivars in randomized complete block design (RCBD) with four replications in three ecological regions of Iran from 2016-2017. Two early maturing genotypes along with four native cultivars viz. Varamin, Oltan, Sahel and Arya were planted in Agricultural Research Station of Varamin, Moghan and Kashmar for evaluation. Earliness data were collected for six treatments during two years in the three regions except missing data for the second year of Kashmar. Therefore, missed data were estimated and imputed. For testing the homogeneity of error variances, each experiment at a given location or year is analyzed separately using Hartley and Bartlett’s Chi-square tests and both tests confirmed homogeneity of variance. Combined analysis of variance showed that genotypes I and II were superior in Varamin, Moghan and Kashmar regions. While common radar signal processing loses much information, we make use of a track-before-detect filter to incorporate raw measurements. The total number of participants in this research was 725. Movement quality was assessed via the Functional Movement Screen (FMSTM), and the PA level was estimated using the School Health Action, Planning, and Evaluation System (SHAPES) questionnaire. In addition, body fat and socioeconomic status (SES) were assessed. In order to investigate the association between total FMS score and different levels of PA, multilevel modeling was employed for boys (n=359) and girls (n=366) separately. All models were adjusted for age, body fat, and SES. Among boys, MVPA, MPA, and VPA were not significant predictors of the total FMS score (β=0.000, p=0.78; β=-0.002, p=0.455; β=0.004, p=0.158, respectively). On the contrary, among girls, VPA and MVPA showed significant effects on the total FMS score (β=0.011, p=0.001, β=0.005, p=0.006, respectively). The findings of this research provide evidence that the intensity of PA is a minor but relevant factor in describing the association between PA and movement quality in adolescent girls but not in boys. This means that the PA level does not guarantee optimal functional movement patterns. Therefore, practicing functional movement patterns in an isolated manner and at moderate to vigorous intensity could be beneficial in order to reduce the risk of injury incidence and potential orthopedic abnormalities in later life. Waste management in Tehran metropolitan requires good strategies for better governance. Using of good urban governance principles together with eight main indexes can be an appropriate base for this aim. One of the reasonable tools in this field is usage of SWOT methods which provides possibility of comparing the opportunities, threats, weaknesses, and strengths by using IFE and EFE matrixes. The results of the above matrixes, respectively 2.533 and 2.403, show that management system of Tehran metropolitan wastes has performed weak regarding to internal factors and has not have good performance regarding using the opportunities and dealing with threats. In this research, prioritizing and describing the real value of each 24 strategies in waste management in Tehran metropolitan have been surveyed considering good governance derived from Quantitative Strategic Planning Management (QSPM) by using Kolomogrof-Smirnoff by 1.549 and significance level of 0.073 in order to define normalization of final values and all of the strategies utilities and Variance Analysis of ANOVA has been calculated for all SWOT strategies. Duncan’s test results regarding four WT, ST, WO, and SO strategies show no significant difference. In addition to mean comparison by Duncan method in this research, LSD (Lowest Significant Difference test) has been used by probability of 5% and finally, 7 strategies and final model of Tehran metropolitan waste management strategy have been defined. Increasing the confidence of people with transparency of budget, developing and improving the legal structure (rule-oriented and law governance, more responsibility about requirements of private sectors, increasing recycling rates and real effective participation of people and NGOs to improve waste management (contribution) and etc, are main available strategies which have been achieved based on good urban governance management principles. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=waste" title="waste">waste</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=strategy" title=" strategy"> strategy</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=environmental%20management" title=" environmental management"> environmental management</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=urban%20good%20governance" title=" urban good governance"> urban good governance</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=SWOT" title=" SWOT"> SWOT</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/30426/strategic-development-of-urban-environmental-management-base-on-good-governance-case-study-of-waste-management-of-tehran" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/30426.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">321</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">725</span> Electron-Ion Recombination of N^{2+} and O^{3+} Ions</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shahin%20%20A.%20Abdel-Naby">Shahin A. Fitting coefficients for the rate coefficients are produced for these ions in the temperature range q2(102-107) K, where q is the ion charge before recombination. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Atomic%20data" title="Atomic data">Atomic data</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=atomic%20processes" title=" atomic processes"> atomic processes</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=electron-ion%20collision" title=" electron-ion collision"> electron-ion collision</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=plasma" title=" plasma"> plasma</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/123894/electron-ion-recombination-of-n2-and-o3-ions" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/123894.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">167</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">724</span> Irish Film Tourism, Neocolonialism and Star Wars: Charting a Course Towards Ecologically and Culturally Considered Representation and Tourism on Skellig Michael</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rachel%20Gough">Rachel Gough</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In 2014, Skellig Michael, an island off Ireland’s western seaboard and UNESCO world heritage site became a major setting in Disney’s Star Wars franchise. The subsequent influx of tourists to the site has proven to be a point of contention nationally. The increased visitor numbers have uplifted certain areas of the local economy, the mainland, but have caused irreparable damage to historic monuments and to endangered bird populations who breed on the island. Recent research carried out by a state body suggests far-reaching and longterm negative impacts on the island’s culture and environment, should the association with the Star Wars franchise persist. In spite of this, the film has been widely endorsed by the Irish government as providing a vital economic boost to historically marginalised rural areas through film tourism. This paper argues quite plainly that what is taking place on Skellig is neocolonialism. Skellig Michael’s unique resources, its aesthetic qualities, its ecosystem, and its cultural currency have been sold by the state to a multinational corporation, who profit from their use. Meanwhile, locals are left to do their best to turn a market trend into sustainable business at the expense of culture ecology and community. This paper intends to be the first dedicated study into the psychogeographic and cultural impact of Skellig Michael’s deterioration as a result of film tourism. It will discuss the projected impact of this incident on Irish culture more broadly and finally will attempt to lay out a roadmap for more collaborative filmmaking and touristic approach, which allows local cultures and ecosystem’s to thrive without drastically inhibiting cultural production. This paper will ultimately find that the consequences of this representation call for a requirement to read tourism as a split concept — namely into what we might loosely call “eco-tourism” and more capital-based “profit-bottom-line tourism.” <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ecology" title="ecology">ecology</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=film%20tourism" title=" film tourism"> film tourism</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=neocolonialism" title=" neocolonialism"> neocolonialism</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sustainability" title=" sustainability"> sustainability</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/144181/irish-film-tourism-neocolonialism-and-star-wars-charting-a-course-towards-ecologically-and-culturally-considered-representation-and-tourism-on-skellig-michael" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/144181.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">206</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">723</span> Application of Acer velutinum for Absorbing Heavy Metal, Mercury, from the Environment</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Seyed%20Armin%20Hashemi">Seyed Armin Hashemi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Somayeh%20Rahimzadeh"> Somayeh Rahimzadeh</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> One-year seedlings of Acer velutinum were provided from plantations and the solution of Mercuric chloride was developed in 20,40 and 60 mg/l concentrations, then this solution was added to the soil and the Acer velutinum were placed in a vase. A descriptive quantitative research technique was employed. A random sample of 384 each of customers and service providers in 3 insurance firms in Accra were used as the source of data. According to findings, emotional intelligence makes a strong positive effect on relationship marketing at 5% significance level, r (283) = .817, p = .000. Though relationship marketing makes a strong positive effect on service quality (r = .767, p < .05) and customer satisfaction (r = .647, p < .05), this effect becomes insignificant (p > .05) when the effect of emotional intelligence on relationship marketing is controlled for. It is therefore recommended that insurance firms give priority to equipping their relationship employees with emotional intelligence to maximise service quality and customer satisfaction. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=relationship%20marketing" title="relationship marketing">relationship marketing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=service%20quality" title=" service quality"> service quality</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=customer%20satisfaction" title=" customer satisfaction"> customer satisfaction</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=emotional%20intelligence" title=" emotional intelligence"> emotional intelligence</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/52190/the-effect-of-relationship-marketing-on-service-quality-and-customer-satisfaction-without-service-providers-emotional-intelligence-the-case-of-the-insurance-industry-in-ghana" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/52190.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">481</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">721</span> Understanding Barriers to Sports Participation as a Means of Achieving Sustainable Development in Michael Otedola College of Primary Education</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Osifeko%20Olalekan%20Remigious">Osifeko Olalekan Remigious</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Osifeko%20Christiana%20Osikorede"> Osifeko Christiana Osikorede</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Folarin%20Bolanle%20Eunice"> Folarin Bolanle Eunice</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Olugbenga%20Adebola%20Shodiya"> Olugbenga Adebola Shodiya</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> During these difficult economic times, nations are looking for ways to improve their finances, preserve the environment as well as the socio-political climate and educational institutions, which are needed to increase their economy and preserve their sustainable development. Sport is one of the ways through which sustainable development can be achieved. The purpose of this study was to examine and understanding barriers to participation in sport. A total of 1,025 students were purposively selected from five schools (School of Arts and Social Sciences, School of Languages, School of Education, School of Sciences and School of Vocational and Technical Education) in Michael Otedola College of Primary Education (MOCPED). A questionnaire, with a tested reliability coefficient of 0.71, was used for data collection. The collected data were subjected to the descriptive survey research design. The findings showed that sports facilities, funding and lecture schedules were significant barriers to sports participation. It was recommended that sports facilities be provided by the Lagos State government. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sports" title="sports">sports</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sustainable%20development" title=" sustainable development"> sustainable development</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Participation" title=" Participation"> Participation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=State%20government" title=" State government"> State government</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=barriers" title=" barriers"> barriers</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/84334/understanding-barriers-to-sports-participation-as-a-means-of-achieving-sustainable-development-in-michael-otedola-college-of-primary-education" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/84334.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">258</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">720</span> Investigation for Pixel-Based Accelerated Aging of Large Area Picosecond Photo-Detectors</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=I.%20Tzoka">I. A key factor that determines the applicability of MCP-PMTs in their lifetime, especially when they are used in high event rate experiments. We have developed a novel method for the investigation of the aging behavior of an MCP-PMT on an accelerated basis. The method involves exposing a localized region of the MCP-PMT to photons at a high repetition rate. This pixel-based method was inspired by earlier results showing that damage to the photocathode of the MCP-PMT occurs primarily at the site of light exposure and that the surrounding region undergoes minimal damage. One advantage of the pixel-based method is that it allows the dynamics of photo-cathode damage to be studied at multiple locations within the same MCP-PMT under different operating conditions. In this work, we use the pixel-based accelerated lifetime test to investigate the aging behavior of a 20 cm x 20 cm Large Area Picosecond Photo Detector (LAPPD) manufactured by INCOM Inc. at multiple locations within the same device under different operating conditions. We compare the aging behavior of the MCP-PMT obtained from the first lifetime test conducted under high gain conditions to the lifetime obtained at a different gain. Through this work, we aim to correlate the lifetime of the MCP-PMT and the rate of ion feedback, which is a function of the gain of each MCP, and which can also vary from point to point across a large area (400 $cm^2$) MCP. The tests were made possible by the uniqueness of the LAPPD design, which allows independent control of the gain of the chevron stacked MCPs. We will further discuss the implications of our results for optimizing the operating conditions of the detector when used in high event rate experiments. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=electron%20multipliers%20%28vacuum%29" title="electron multipliers (vacuum)">electron multipliers (vacuum)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=LAPPD" title=" LAPPD"> LAPPD</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=lifetime" title=" lifetime"> lifetime</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=micro-channel%20plate%20photo-multipliers%20tubes" title=" micro-channel plate photo-multipliers tubes"> micro-channel plate photo-multipliers tubes</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=photoemission" title=" photoemission"> photoemission</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=time-of-flight" title=" time-of-flight"> time-of-flight</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/163367/investigation-for-pixel-based-accelerated-aging-of-large-area-picosecond-photo-detectors" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/163367.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">177</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">719</span> Ama de Casa: Gender Division of Labor the Response to Environmental and Economic Constraints, Ecuador</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tyrus%20C.%20Torres">Tyrus C. This project, under the guidance of Dr. Michael Harris from the Florida Atlantic University, seeks to understand how the role of an ama de casa provides a secure environment for men and women, coexists with economic and environmental constraints that explain the origins of how this environment has been formed. The coastal community aspects of familia (family), trabajo (work), relación (relationships), machismo (masculinity), feminista (femininity), and the culture of Ecuador define the ways of life in a coastal setting. This ethnographic research project included the following methodologies: environment mapping, conducting interviews, surveys, participant observation, direct and indirect observations, and integration into daily life. Immersion into the daily life and building relationships with the local people allowed the documentation of intricacies of both the cultural and social spheres. The findings of this research offer insight on how culture, economics, and environment can form female and male agency. Our investigation shows that occupations such as fishermen, laborers, ama de casas, and even students utilize occupational routes to create social agency in the face of economic and environmental constraints in Ecuador. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ecuador" title="Ecuador">Ecuador</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ethnography" title=" ethnography"> ethnography</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=gender%20division%20of%20labor" title=" gender division of labor"> gender division of labor</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=gender%20roles" title=" gender roles"> gender roles</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/87503/ama-de-casa-gender-division-of-labor-the-response-to-environmental-and-economic-constraints-ecuador" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/87503.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">241</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">718</span> Multimodal Database of Retina Images for Africa: The First Open Access Digital Repository for Retina Images in Sub Saharan Africa</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Simon%20Arunga">Simon Arunga</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Teddy%20Kwaga"> Teddy Kwaga</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rita%20Kageni"> Rita Kageni</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Michael%20Gichangi"> Michael Gichangi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nyawira%20Mwangi"> Nyawira Mwangi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Fred%20Kagwa"> Fred Kagwa</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rogers%20Mwavu"> Rogers Mwavu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Amos%20Baryashaba"> Amos Baryashaba</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Luis%20F.%20Nakayama"> Luis F. The blood testing was done on rams every 15 days using a 20 ml syringe. Data analysis was performed by SAS software. Also mean comparison was done using Duncan's test method (p<0.05). Obtained results showed that the serum concentration of testosterone hormone was decreased numerically as well as the concentration of FSH hormone however the concentration of LH was increased. Also, the CLA had a significant effect on Leptin concentration. CLA in oral form can reduce the concentration of testosterone in rams. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=CLA" title="CLA">CLA</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ram" title=" ram"> ram</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=testosterone" title=" testosterone"> testosterone</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=conjugated%20linoleic%20acid" title=" conjugated linoleic acid"> conjugated linoleic acid</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/15054/effects-of-conjugated-linoleic-acid-on-the-reproductive-axis-of-ram" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/15054.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">304</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">715</span> Modelling Magnetohydrodynamics to Investigate Variation of Shielding Gases on Arc Characteristics in the GTAW Process</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Stuart%20W.%20Campbell">Stuart W. As a result of each gas having its own unique thermophysical properties, the shielding gas selected can have a major influence on the arc stability, welding speed, weld appearance and geometry, mechanical properties and fume generation. Alternating shielding gases is a relatively new method of discreetly supplying two different shielding gases to the welding region in order to take advantage of the beneficial properties of each gas, as well as the inherent pulsing effects generated. As part of an ongoing process to fully evaluate the effects of this novel supply method, a computational fluid dynamics model has been generated to include the gas dependent thermodynamic and transport properties in order to evaluate the effects that an alternating gas supply has on the arc plasma. Experimental trials have also been conducted to validate the model arc profile predictions. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Alternating%20shielding%20gases" title="Alternating shielding gases">Alternating shielding gases</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ANSYS%20CFX" title=" ANSYS CFX"> ANSYS CFX</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Gas%20tungsten%20arc%20welding%28GTAW%29" title=" Gas tungsten arc welding(GTAW)"> Gas tungsten arc welding(GTAW)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=magnetohydrodynamics%28MHD%29" title=" magnetohydrodynamics(MHD)"> magnetohydrodynamics(MHD)</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/7607/modelling-magnetohydrodynamics-to-investigate-variation-of-shielding-gases-on-arc-characteristics-in-the-gtaw-process" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/7607.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">436</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">714</span> Development of a Telemedical Network Supporting an Automated Flow Cytometric Analysis for the Clinical Follow-up of Leukaemia</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Claude%20Takenga">Claude Takenga</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rolf-Dietrich%20Berndt"> Rolf-Dietrich Berndt</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Erling%20Si"> Erling Si</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Markus%20Diem"> Markus Diem</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Guohui%20Qiao"> Guohui Qiao</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Melanie%20Gau"> Melanie Gau</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Michael%20Brandstoetter"> Michael Brandstoetter</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Martin%20Kampel"> Martin Kampel</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Michael%20Dworzak"> Michael Dworzak </a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In patients with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL), treatment response is increasingly evaluated with minimal residual disease (MRD) analyses. Flow Cytometry (FCM) is a fast and sensitive method to detect MRD. However, the interpretation of these multi-parametric data requires intensive operator training and experience. This paper presents a pipeline-software, as a ready-to-use FCM-based MRD-assessment tool for the daily clinical practice for patients with ALL. The new tool increases accuracy in assessment of FCM-MRD in samples which are difficult to analyse by conventional operator-based gating since computer-aided analysis potentially has a superior resolution due to utilization of the whole multi-parametric FCM-data space at once instead of step-wise, two-dimensional plot-based visualization. The system developed as a telemedical network reduces the work-load and lab-costs, staff-time needed for training, continuous quality control, operator-based data interpretation. It allows dissemination of automated FCM-MRD analysis to medical centres which have no established expertise for the benefit of an even larger community of diseased children worldwide. We established a telemedical network system for analysis and clinical follow-up and treatment monitoring of Leukaemia. The system is scalable and adapted to link several centres and laboratories worldwide. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=data%20security" title="data security">data security</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=flow%20cytometry" title=" flow cytometry"> flow cytometry</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=leukaemia" title=" leukaemia"> leukaemia</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=telematics%20platform" title=" telematics platform"> telematics platform</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=telemedicine" title=" telemedicine"> telemedicine</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/50453/development-of-a-telemedical-network-supporting-an-automated-flow-cytometric-analysis-for-the-clinical-follow-up-of-leukaemia" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/50453.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">983</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">713</span> Approach to Establish Logistics as a Central Scientific Discipline of Tomorrow's Industry</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Johannes%20Dregger">Johannes Dregger</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Michael%20Schmidt"> Michael Schmidt</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Christian%20Prasse"> Christian Prasse</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Michael%20ten%20Hompel"> Michael ten Hompel</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Most of the today’s companies face increasing need to operate efficiently. Driven by global trends like shorter product cycles, mass customization and the rising speed of delivery, manufacturing value chains are becoming more and more distributed. Manufacturing processes are becoming highly integrated, e.g. 3D printing. All these changes are affecting companies´ organization. They are leading towards individual, small scale, and ad-hoc logistics processes and structures, and finally, towards a significant increase in the importance of logistics itself since traditional value chains transform into agile value networks. In the past logistics has been following manufacturing but in the future industry, this role allocation might change. With this increase in the logistics practice of companies and businesses, the relevance of logistics research as the methodological foundation of logistics networks and processes is gaining importance. Logistics research is evolving into a central and highly interdisciplinary science for the future industry. Using the example of Germany, this paper discusses ways to establish logistics as a central scientific discipline of the future industry. About three million people work in the logistics sector in Germany. Only automotive and retail industry have more employees. Even though there is a bunch of logistics degree programs at more than 100 institutions of higher education, a common understanding of logistics as a research discipline is missing. In this paper an innovative approach will be presented, including; identified perspectives on logistics, such as process orientation, IT orientation or employees orientation, relevant scientific disciplines for logistics science, a concept for interdisciplinary research approaches to unify the perspectives of the different scientific disciplines on logistics and the methodological base of logistics science. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=logistics" title="logistics">logistics</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=logistics%20science" title=" logistics science"> logistics science</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=logistics%20management" title=" logistics management"> logistics management</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=future%20challenges" title=" future challenges"> future challenges</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/76058/approach-to-establish-logistics-as-a-central-scientific-discipline-of-tomorrows-industry" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/76058.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">314</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">712</span> Evaluating the Suitability and Performance of Dynamic Modulus Predictive Models for North Dakota’s Asphalt Mixtures</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Duncan%20Oteki">Duncan Oteki</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Andebut%20Yeneneh"> Andebut Yeneneh</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Daba%20Gedafa"> Daba Gedafa</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nabil%20Suleiman"> Nabil Suleiman</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Most agencies lack the equipment required to measure the dynamic modulus (|E*|) of asphalt mixtures, necessitating the need to use predictive models. This study compared measured |E*| values for nine North Dakota asphalt mixes using the original Witczak, modified Witczak, and Hirsch models. The influence of temperature on the |E*| models was investigated, and Pavement ME simulations were conducted using measured |E*| and predictions from the most accurate |E*| model. The results revealed that the original Witczak model yielded the lowest Se/Sy and highest R² values, indicating the lowest bias and highest accuracy, while the poorest overall performance was exhibited by the Hirsch model. Using predicted |E*| as inputs in the Pavement ME generated conservative distress predictions compared to using measured |E*|. Fermentation followed the conventional traditional method of fermented locust bean (iru) production and was carried out over a period of three days (72 hours). Samples were withdrawn and analysed for proximate composition, pH, titratable acidity, tannin content, phytic acid content and trypsin inhibitor activity using standard methods. Effects of fermentation on proximate composition, anti-nutritional factors and sensory properties of the seed were evaluated. All data were analysed using ANOVA and means separated using Duncan multiple range test. Microbiological analysis to identify and characterize the microflora responsible for the fermentation of the seed was also carried out. Fermentation had significant effect on the proximate composition on the fermented seeds. As fermentation progressed, there was significant reduction in the anti-nutrient contents. Novel strategies, including targeted biologics, immunotherapy, and specialized delivery systems such as convection-enhanced delivery (CED), have been proposed. While some of these novel treatments are entering phase I trials, the field is still in need of treatment(s) that exhibits dramatically enhanced potency with optimal therapeutic ratio. Bionaut Labs has developed a modular microrobotic platform for performing localized delivery of diverse therapeutics in vivo. Our biocompatible particles (Bionauts™) are externally propelled and visualized in real-time. Bionauts™ are specifically designed to enhance the effect of radiation therapy via anatomically precise delivery of a radiosensitizing agent, as exemplified by temozolomide (TMZ) and Avastin™ to the brainstem gliomas of diverse origin. The treatment protocol is designed to furnish a better therapeutic outcome due to the localized (vs systemic) delivery of the drug to the neoplastic lesion(s) for use as a synergistic combination of radiation and radiosensitizing agent. In addition, the procedure is minimally invasive and is expected to be appropriate for both adult and pediatric patients. Current progress, including platform optimization, selection of the lead radiosensitizer as well as in vivo safety studies of the Bionauts™ in large animals, specifically the spine and the brain of porcine and ovine models, will be discussed. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Bionaut" title="Bionaut">Bionaut</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=brainstem" title=" brainstem"> brainstem</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=glioma" title=" glioma"> glioma</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=local%20delivery" title=" local delivery"> local delivery</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=micro-robot" title=" micro-robot"> micro-robot</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=radiosensitizer" title=" radiosensitizer"> radiosensitizer</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/131922/bionaut-a-microrobotic-drug-device-platform-for-the-local-treatment-of-brainstem-gliomas" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/131922.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">195</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">709</span> Knowledge and Organisational Success: Developing a Scale of Knowledge Framework</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mohammed%20Almohammedali">Mohammed Almohammedali</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=David%20Edgar"> David Edgar</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Duncan%20Peter"> Duncan Peter</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The aim of this exploratory research is to further understand how organisations can evaluate their activities, which generate knowledge creation, to meet changing stakeholder expectations. A Scale of Knowledge (SoK) Framework is proposed which links knowledge management and organisational activities to changing stakeholder expectations. The framework was informed by the knowledge management literature, as well as empirical work conducted via a single case study of a multi-site hospital organisation in Saudi Arabia. Eight in-depth semi-structured interviews were conducted with managers from across the organisation regarding current and future stakeholder expectations, organisational strategy/activities and knowledge management. Data were analysed using thematic analysis and a hierarchical value map technique to identify activities that can produce further knowledge and consequently impact on how stakeholder expectations are met. The SoK Framework developed may be useful to practitioners as an analytical aid to determine if current organisational activities produce organisational knowledge which helps them meet (increasingly higher levels of) stakeholder expectations. In an effort to reconcile our need to produce more sustenance while also protecting the world’s ecosystems, farming is becoming more reliant on smart tools and communication technologies. Developing a smart farming framework allows farmers to make more efficient use of inputs, thus protecting water quality and biodiversity habitat. Internet of Things (IoT), which has revolutionized every sphere of the economy, is being applied to agriculture by connecting on-farm devices and providing real-time monitoring of everything from environmental conditions to market signals through to animal health data. However, utilizing IoT means farming networks are now vulnerable to malicious activities, mostly when wireless communications are highly employed. With that in mind, this research aims to review different utilized communication technologies in smart farming. Nowadays, more attention is given to the technical aspects of 3D cadastre, resulting in the imbalance within this field. To fulfill this research gap, the stakeholder, which has been regarded as the determining factor in cadastral change has been studied. Delphi method, Michael rating, and stakeholder mapping are used to identify and classify the stakeholders in 3D cadastre. It is concluded that the project managers should pay more attention to the interesting appeal of the key stakeholders and different coping strategies should be adopted to facilitate the transition to 3D cadastre. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=stakeholders" title="stakeholders">stakeholders</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=three%20dimension" title=" three dimension"> three dimension</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=cadastre" title=" cadastre"> cadastre</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=transtion" title=" transtion"> transtion</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/77914/identification-and-classification-of-stakeholders-in-the-transition-to-3d-cadastre" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/77914.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">290</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">705</span> Efficacy of Plant and Mushroom Based Bio-Products against the Red Poultry Mite, Dermanyssus gallinae (Mesostigmata: Dermanyssidae)</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Muhammad%20Asif%20Qayyoum">Muhammad Asif Qayyoum</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Bilal%20Saeed%20Khan"> Bilal Saeed Khan</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Poultry red mites (Dermanyssus gallinae De Geer) are economically deleterious parasite of hens in poultry industry in all over the world. Due to lack of proper control managements and result of poor application of commercial products, D. gallinae get resistance and severe infestation in poultry birds. Laboratory experiment was planned for the control of D. gallinae by using different mushroom and plant extracts. We used control treatment (100 ml distilled water) and nine treatments (10 gr Lentinula adobas, Ganoderma lucidum and Pleurotus aryngii with 100 ml methanol, 1% and 2% Neemazal, 1.5% Gamma-T-ol, Echinacea Leaf , 1.5% Fungatol with neem spray and Methanol) with five replication having five mites each. Data collected after 12 and 24 hours every day till mites found dead in every treatment. The significant differences among the mean values were compared with the DUNCAN multiple range test. The efficacy (%) of each treatment was determined with the Abbott formula. All statistical analyses were conducted with the SPSS Version 12 program. Lentinula edodes (80%), Ganoderma lucidum (76%) and Fungatol+Neem spray (1.5%) (80%) were significant against D. gallinae within 3 days. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mushroom%20extracts" title="mushroom extracts">mushroom extracts</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=plant%20extracts" title=" plant extracts"> plant extracts</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=D.%20gallinae" title=" D. gallinae"> D. gallinae</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=control" title=" control"> control</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/43996/efficacy-of-plant-and-mushroom-based-bio-products-against-the-red-poultry-mite-dermanyssus-gallinae-mesostigmata-dermanyssidae" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/43996.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">307</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">704</span> Antidiabetic Evaluation of Pig (Sus scrofa) Bile on Alloxan-Induced BALB/c Mice</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=John%20Lyndon%20C.%20Lunnay">John Lyndon C. The experimental animals were divided and selected using RCBD into 5 groups (n= 4): T1 (negative control), T2 (1ml/kg), T3 (2ml/kg), T4 (3ml/kg) and T5 (Glibenclamide). Hyperglycemia was induced by injecting 1% alloxan monohydrate intraperitoneally. A glucose tolerance test was performed using a 2g/kg glucose solution, and blood glucose levels were measured at different time intervals. 14 days of monitoring was also done to ensure effectivity and efficacy of the different treatments. Bodyweight was also determined. Results show that administration of treatments on test animals significantly reverted the blood glucose levels of mice in 60 minutes and 120 minutes using an oral glucose tolerance test. After 14 days of monitoring, normal blood glucose levels were seen significantly on T2 (1ml/kg), T3 (2ml/kg), T4 (3ml/kg), and T5 (Glibenclamide), which only suggests the efficacy of pig bile on lowering glucose levels on alloxan-induced diabetic mice. Bodyweight analysis shows no significant difference. Duncan’s multiple range test (DMRT) shows comparable efficacy and effectivity between T4 (3ml/kg) and T5 (Glibenclamide) on lowering BGL at different day and time intervals. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=pig%20bile" title="pig bile">pig bile</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=BALB%2Fc%20mice" title=" BALB/c mice"> BALB/c mice</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=blood%20glucose" title=" blood glucose"> blood glucose</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Gllibenclamide" title=" Gllibenclamide"> Gllibenclamide</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/129960/antidiabetic-evaluation-of-pig-sus-scrofa-bile-on-alloxan-induced-balbc-mice" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/129960.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">148</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">703</span> Tuning of Fixed Wing Micro Aerial Vehicles Using Tethered Setup</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shoeb%20Ahmed%20Adeel">Shoeb Ahmed Adeel</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Vivek%20Paul"> Vivek Paul</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=K.%20Prajwal"> K. A few sensors and on board controller is required to carry out this experiment in horizontal and vertical plane of the vehicle. Here we will be discussing issues such as sensitivity of the air vehicle, endurance and external load of the string acting on the vehicle. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a
