child display diverse sensory processing difficulty behaviors. There is less evidence to figure out how the association between executive function and sensory deficit. To determine whether sensory deficit influence the executive functions, we examined sensory processing by SPM and try to indicate hot/cold executive function (EF) by BRIEF2, respectively. We found that the hot executive function deficit might associate with auditory processing in a variety of settings, and vestibular input to maintain balance and upright posture; the cold EF deficit might opposite to the hot EF deficit, the vestibular sensory modulation difficulty association with emotion shifting and emotional regulation. These results suggest that sensory processing might be another consideration factor to influence the higher cognitive control or emotional regulation of EF. Overall, this study indicates the distinction between hot and cold EF impairments with different sensory modulation problem. Moreover, for clinician, it needs more cautious consideration to conduct intervention with ADHD. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=hot%20executive%20function" title="hot executive function">hot executive function</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=cold%20executive%20function" title=" cold executive function"> cold executive function</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sensory%20processing" title=" sensory processing"> sensory processing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ADHD" title=" ADHD"> ADHD</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/81479/a-pilot-study-on-the-sensory-processing-difficulty-pattern-association-between-the-hot-and-cold-executive-function-deficits-in-attention-deficit-hyperactivity-deficit-child" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/81479.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">285</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12173</span> The Impact of Transformational Leadership and Interpersonal Interaction on Mentoring Function</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ching-Yuan%20Huang">Ching-Yuan Huang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rhay-Hung%20Weng"> Rhay-Hung Weng</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yi-Ting%20Chen"> Yi-Ting Chen</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Mentoring functions will improve new nurses' job performance, provide support with new nurses, and then reduce the turnover rate of them. This study explored the impact of transformational leadership and interpersonal interaction on mentoring functions. We employed a questionnaire survey to collect data and selected a sample of new nurses from three hospitals in Taiwan. A total of 306 valid surveys were obtained. Multiple regression model analysis was conducted to test the study hypothesis. Inspirational motivation, idealized influence, and individualized consideration had a positive influence on overall mentoring function, but intellectual stimulation had a positive influence on career development function only. Perceived similarity and interaction frequency also had positive influences on mentoring functions. When the shift overlap rate exceeded 80%, mentoring function experienced a negative result. The transformational leadership of mentors actually would improve the mentoring functions among new staff nurses. Perceived similarity and interaction frequency between mentees and mentors also had a positive influence on mentoring functions. Managers should enhance the transformational leadership of mentors by designing leadership training and motivation programs. Furthermore, nursing managers should promote the interaction between new staff nurses and their mentors, but the shift overlap rate should not exceed 80%. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=interpersonal%20interaction" title="interpersonal interaction">interpersonal interaction</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mentoring%20function" title=" mentoring function"> mentoring function</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mentor" title=" mentor"> mentor</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=new%20nurse" title=" new nurse"> new nurse</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=transformational%20leadership" title=" transformational leadership "> transformational leadership </a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/45839/the-impact-of-transformational-leadership-and-interpersonal-interaction-on-mentoring-function" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/45839.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">332</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12172</span> Influence of Temperature on Properties of MOSFETs</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Azizi%20Cherifa">Azizi Cherifa</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=O.%20Benzaoui"> O. MOSFET is fundamental in the circuits, it is the most widely used device in the current production of semiconductor components using their honorable performance. The aim of this contribution is devoted to the effect of the temperature on the properties of MOSFETs. The study enables us to calculate the drain current as function of bias in both linear and saturated modes. The effect of temperature is evaluated using a numerical simulation, using the laws of mobility and saturation velocity of carriers as a function of temperature. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=temperature" title="temperature">temperature</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=MOSFET" title=" MOSFET"> MOSFET</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mobility" title=" mobility"> mobility</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=transistor" title=" transistor"> transistor</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/42385/influence-of-temperature-on-properties-of-mosfets" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/42385.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">346</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12171</span> The Implementation of Secton Method for Finding the Root of Interpolation Function</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nur%20Rokhman">Nur Rokhman</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> A mathematical function gives relationship between the variables composing the function. Interpolation can be viewed as a process of finding mathematical function which goes through some specified points. There are many interpolation methods, namely: Lagrange method, Newton method, Spline method etc. For some specific condition, such as, big amount of interpolation points, the interpolation function can not be written explicitly. This such function consist of computational steps. The solution of equations involving the interpolation function is a problem of solution of non linear equation. Newton method will not work on the interpolation function, for the derivative of the interpolation function cannot be written explicitly. The internal audit function is also a unique corporate governance mechanism because internal auditors have more involvement with the day-to-day operations comparing to the audit committee, and also internal auditors audit their companies the whole year compared to the external auditor who audits only a certain time of the year. The relationships between internal audit function and earnings management can be understood by some theories. Therefore, this paper provides a theoretical background of the influence of the quality of internal audit function on earnings management. The first sub-layer of the MAC is the distributed coordination function (DCF). A contention algorithm is used via DCF to provide access to all traffic. The point coordination function (PCF) is the second sub-layer used to provide contention-free service. PCF is upper DCF and it uses features of DCF to establish guarantee access of its users. Objectives of Study: The Fine Motor and Executive Function assessment tool (FiM&EF) was developed to answer the question, ‘Do the fine motor skill deficits in children with ADHD come from their fine motor problems or is it caused by their executive function problems?’. This paper describes the development of a new assessment of Fine Motor and Executive Function (FiM &EF) needed by primary school students with ADHD aged 6-12 years with ADHD. Methods: A study on the content validity established through a survey of a panel of nine experts is explained in detail. Findings: Most the experts agreed such an assessment was needed and two items were deleted as a result of experts’ feedback. Relevance to Clinical Practice: Distinguishing the main reason of fine motor problem in these children could help the clinician for their therapy plans. Knowledge on the influence of executive functioning on fine motor ability in selected age children with ADHD would provide a clearer clinical picture of the fine motor capabilities and executive function for these children. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=children%20with%20ADHD" title="children with ADHD">children with ADHD</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=executive%20function" title=" executive function"> executive function</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=fine%20motor" title=" fine motor"> fine motor</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=test" title=" test"> test</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/77892/development-a-fine-motor-and-executive-function-assessment-fimef-for-assessing-school-aged-children-with-attention-deficithyperactivity-disorder-adhd" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/77892.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">290</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12166</span> Follower Upward Influence Tactics: A Review of Quantitative Studies </h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Najla%20Alshenaifi">Najla Alshenaifi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nicholas%20Clarke"> Nicholas Clarke</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Interest in how followers may influence their leaders in order to achieve their goals can be traced to studies in the late 1970s. The last major review of the literature was published over a decade ago in 2002. It would seem timely then to take stock of the literature and consider what we have learned since then. In so doing, our aim is to derive an empirically-based framework for understanding the effects of upward influence tactics to underpin future research in the field. Many factors are identified as having a major effect on upward influence processes including goals of influence, culture, gender, leadership style and the outcome of influence. A key conclusion from our review is that although upward influence tactics can result in positive outcomes for followers, the results from many studies are more often than inconclusive. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=upward%20influence%20tactics" title="upward influence tactics">upward influence tactics</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=influence%20tactics" title=" influence tactics"> influence tactics</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=influence%20strategies" title=" influence strategies"> influence strategies</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=followership" title=" followership"> followership</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/15410/follower-upward-influence-tactics-a-review-of-quantitative-studies" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/15410.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">385</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12165</span> Robust Variable Selection Based on Schwarz Information Criterion for Linear Regression Models</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shokrya%20Saleh%20A.%20Alshqaq">Shokrya Saleh A. However, SIC is defined using an unbounded estimator, namely, the least-squares (LS), which is highly sensitive to outlying observations, especially bad leverage points. A method for robust variable selection based on SIC for linear regression models is thus needed. This study investigates the robustness properties of SIC by deriving its influence function and proposes a robust SIC based on the MM-estimation scale. The aim of this study is to produce a criterion that can effectively select accurate models in the presence of vertical outliers and high leverage points. The advantages of the proposed robust SIC is demonstrated through a simulation study and an analysis of a real dataset. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=influence%20function" title="influence function">influence function</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=robust%20variable%20selection" title=" robust variable selection"> robust variable selection</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=robust%20regression" title=" robust regression"> robust regression</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Schwarz%20information%20criterion" title=" Schwarz information criterion"> Schwarz information criterion</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/131338/robust-variable-selection-based-on-schwarz-information-criterion-for-linear-regression-models" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/131338.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">139</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12164</span> On a Univalent Function and the Integral Means of Its Derivative</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shatha%20S.%20Alhily">Shatha S. In this paper, the selection of the proper lubricant for a Top-Of-Rail (TOR) lubrication system based on graph theory and matrix approach has been developed. Attributes influencing the selection process and their influence on each other has been represented through a digraph and an equivalent matrix. A matrix function which is called the Permanent Function is derived. By substituting the level of inherent contribution of the influencing parameters and their influence on each other qualitatively, a criterion called Suitability Index is derived. Based on these indices, lubricants can be ranked for their suitability. The proposed model can be useful for maintenance engineers in selecting the best lubricant for a TOR application. The Lippmann Schwinger equation (integral form of the Schrodinger wave equation) is solved for the nonrelativistic radial wave of hydrogen atom using iterative integration scheme. As the unknown wave function appears on both sides of the Lippmann Schwinger equation, therefore an approximate wave function is used in order to solve the equation. The Green’s function is obtained by the method of Laplace transform for the radial wave equation with excluded potential term. Using the Lippmann Schwinger equation, the product of approximate wave function, the Green’s function and the potential term is integrated iteratively. Finally, the wave function is normalized and plotted against the standard radial wave for comparison. The outcome wave function converges to the standard wave function with the increasing number of iteration. Results are verified for the first fifteen states of hydrogen atom. The method is efficient and consistent and can be applied to complex systems in future. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Green%E2%80%99s%20function" title="Green’s function">Green’s function</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=hydrogen%20atom" title=" hydrogen atom"> hydrogen atom</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Lippmann%20Schwinger%20equation" title=" Lippmann Schwinger equation"> Lippmann Schwinger equation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=radial%20wave" title=" radial wave"> radial wave</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/42682/solution-of-the-nonrelativistic-radial-wave-equation-of-hydrogen-atom-using-the-greens-function-approach" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/42682.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">394</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12159</span> Bayesian Optimization for Reaction Parameter Tuning: An Exploratory Study of Parameter Optimization in Oxidative Desulfurization of Thiophene</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Aman%20Sharma">Aman Sharma</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sonali%20Sengupta"> Sonali Sengupta</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The study explores the utility of Bayesian optimization in tuning the physical and chemical parameters of reactions in an offline experimental setup. Compared with other main components, the axial compressor is the most challenging component to simulate. In this paper, a compressor map optimizing tool based on the introduction of a modifiable β function is developed for FWorks (FADEC Works). Three parameters (d density, f fitting coefficient, k₀ slope of the line β=0) are introduced to the β function to make it modifiable. The comparison of the traditional β function and the modifiable β function is carried out for a certain type of compressor. The interpolation errors show that both methods meet the modeling requirements, while the modifiable β function can predict compressor performance more accurately for some areas of the compressor map where the users are interested in. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=beta%20function" title="beta function">beta function</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=compressor%20map" title=" compressor map"> compressor map</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=interpolation%20error" title=" interpolation error"> interpolation error</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=map%20optimization%20tool" title=" map optimization tool"> map optimization tool</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/72730/a-compressor-map-optimizing-tool-for-prediction-of-compressor-off-design-performance" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/72730.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">267</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12157</span> Research on Characteristics and Inventory Planning Counter-Measure of Mature Industrial Zones in the Background of China's New Normal</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Dong%20Chen">Dong Chen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Han%20Song"> Han Song</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tingting%20Wei"> Tingting Wei</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Industrial zones have made significant contributions to the economic development of Chinese urban areas for decades. In the background of China's New Normal, numbers of mature industrial zones are stepping into a new stage of inventory development instead of increment development. The aim of this study is to discover new characteristics and problems and corresponding inventory planning guidance of mature industrial zones. A case of Yangzhou Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone is reported in this study. Based on a historical analysis and data analysis of land-use, it is found that land-use of the zone is near saturation and signs of land updating have begun to appear. It is observed that the zone is facing problems including disorder of land development, low economic productivity and single function. Through the data of economic output, tax contribution, industrial category, industry life cycle and environmental influence, a comprehensive assessment based on two dimensions, economic benefits and industrial matchup, is made upon every parcel in the zone. According to the assessment, the zone is divided into spatial units of the update with specific planning guidance. It comes to a conclusion as four directions of inventory planning guidance in mature industrial zones: moving industries with poor economic benefit and negative environmental influence, adding urban function and new industrial function to the zone, optimizing the function of important space, and restricting the mass layout of the real estate industry to provide space for industrial upgrading. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=China%27s%20new%20normal" title="China's new normal">China's new normal</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mature%20industrial%20zones" title=" mature industrial zones"> mature industrial zones</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=land-use" title=" land-use"> land-use</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=inventory%20planning" title=" inventory planning "> inventory planning </a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/33123/research-on-characteristics-and-inventory-planning-counter-measure-of-mature-industrial-zones-in-the-background-of-chinas-new-normal" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/33123.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">452</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12156</span> Effect of Annealing Temperature on the Photoelectric Work Function of Silver-Zinc Oxide Contact Materials</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Bouchou%20A%C3%AFssa">Bouchou Aïssa</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mohamed%20Akbi"> Mohamed Akbi</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Contact materials used for electrical breakers are often made with silver alloys. Mechanical and thermo dynamical properties as well as electron emission of such complicated alloys present a lack of reliable and accurate experimental data. This paper deals mainly with electron work function (EWF) measurements about silver-metal oxide (Ag-MeO) electrical contacts (Ag-ZnO (92/8), before and after surface heat treatments at 296 K 813 K, under UHV conditions (residual gas pressure of 1.4 x 10-7 mbar). The electron work function (EWF) of silver zinc oxide materials was measured photoelectrically, using both Fowler’s method of isothermal curves and linearized Fowler plots. In this paper, we present the development of a method for measuring photoelectric work function of contact materials. Also reported in this manuscript are the results of experimental work whose purpose has been the buildup of a reliable photoelectric system and associated monochromatic ultra-violet radiations source, and the photoelectric measurement of the electron work functions (EWF) of contact materials. In order to study the influence of annealing temperature on the EWF, a vacuum furnace was used for heating the metallic samples up to 800 K. The EWF of the silver – zinc oxide materials were investigated to study the influence of annealing temperature on the EWF. In the present study, the photoelectric measurements about Ag-ZnO(92/8) contacts have shown a linear decrease of the EWF with increasing temperature, i.e. the temperature coefficient is constant and negative: for the first annealing # 1, in the temperature range [299 K 823 K]. On the contrary, a linear increase was observed with increasing temperature (i.e. , being constant and positive), for the next annealing # 2, in the temperature range [296 K 813 K]. The EWFs obtained for silver-zinc oxide Ag-ZnO(92/8) show an obvious dependence on the annealing temperature which is strongly associated with the evolution of the arrangement on ZnO nano particles on the Ag-ZnO contact surface as well as surface charge distribution. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Photoemission" title="Photoemission">Photoemission</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Electron%20work%20function" title=" Electron work function"> Electron work function</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Fowler%20methods" title=" Fowler methods"> Fowler methods</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ag-ZnO%20contact%20materials" title=" Ag-ZnO contact materials"> Ag-ZnO contact materials</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Vacuum%20heat%20treatment" title=" Vacuum heat treatment"> Vacuum heat treatment</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/25862/effect-of-annealing-temperature-on-the-photoelectric-work-function-of-silver-zinc-oxide-contact-materials" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/25862.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">416</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12155</span> Spatial Point Process Analysis of Dengue Fever in Tainan, Taiwan</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ya-Mei%20Chang">Ya-Mei Chang</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This research is intended to apply spatio-temporal point process methods to the dengue fever data in Tainan. We derive two types of closed-form formulas for trigonometric series. At first, for some integer values, as we know that Riemann’s ζ function and Dirichlet η, λ equal zero at negative even integers, whereas Dirichlet’s β function equals zero at negative odd integers, after a certain number of members, the rest of the series vanishes. Thus, a trigonometric series becomes a polynomial with coefficients involving Riemann’s ζ function and Dirichlet η, λ, β functions. On the other hand, in some cases, one cannot immediately replace the parameter with any positive integer because we shall encounter singularities. So it is necessary to take a limit, so in the process, we apply L’Hospital’s rule and, after a series of rearrangements, we bring a trigonometric series to a form suitable for the application of Choi-Srivastava’s theorem dealing with Hurwitz’s zeta function and Harmonic numbers. In this way, we express a trigonometric series as a polynomial over Hurwitz’s zeta function derivative. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Dirichlet%20eta%20lambda%20beta%20functions" title="Dirichlet eta lambda beta functions">Dirichlet eta lambda beta functions</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Riemann%27s%20zeta%20function" title=" Riemann's zeta function"> Riemann's zeta function</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hurwitz%20zeta%20function" title=" Hurwitz zeta function"> Hurwitz zeta function</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Harmonic%20numbers" title=" Harmonic numbers"> Harmonic numbers</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/167649/closed-forms-of-trigonometric-series-interms-of-riemanns-z-function-and-dirichlet-i-l-v-functions-or-the-hurwitz-zeta-function-and-harmonic-numbers" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/167649.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">103</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12153</span> Stability Analysis of SEIR Epidemic Model with Treatment Function</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sasiporn%20Rattanasupha">Sasiporn Rattanasupha</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Settapat%20Chinviriyasit"> Settapat Chinviriyasit</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The treatment function adopts a continuous and differentiable function which can describe the effect of delayed treatment when the number of infected individuals increases and the medical condition is limited. Due to the rapidly increasing technology in the past few decades, the nature of demands from the consumers has become more sophisticated. To sustain this global revolution of innovation in production systems, companies have to take steps to accommodate this technology growth. In this process of understanding the customers' expectations, all the firms globally take steps to deliver a perfect output. Most of these techniques also concentrate on the consistent development and optimization of the product to exceed the expectations. Quality Function Deployment(QFD) and Modular Function Deployment(MFD) are such techniques which rely on the voice of the customer and help deliver the needs. In this paper, Quality Function Deployment and Modular Function Deployment techniques which help in converting the quantitative descriptions to qualitative outcomes are discussed. The area of interest would be to understand the scope of each of the techniques and the application range in product development when these are applied together to any problem. The research question would be mainly aimed at comprehending the limitations using modularity in product development. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=quality%20function%20deployment" title="quality function deployment">quality function deployment</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=modular%20function%20deployment" title=" modular function deployment"> modular function deployment</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=house%20of%20quality" title=" house of quality"> house of quality</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=methodology" title=" methodology"> methodology</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/75517/integration-of-quality-function-deployment-and-modular-function-deployment-in-product-development" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/75517.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">328</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12151</span> A Transfer Function Representation of Thermo-Acoustic Dynamics for Combustors</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Myunggon%20Yoon">Myunggon Yoon</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jung-Ho%20Moon"> Jung-Ho Moon</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In this paper, we present a transfer function representation of a general one-dimensional combustor. In mountainous areas with complex terrain, the construction of the tunnel is often the most effective transportation scheme. In these projects, the local terrain can be simplified into hills with different shapes, and the underground tunnel structure can be regarded as a subsurface cavity. The presence of the subsurface cavity affects the strength of the rock mass and changes the deformation and failure characteristics. Moreover, the scattering of the elastic waves by underground structures usually interacts with local terrains, which leads to a significant influence on the surface displacement of the terrains. Therefore, it is of great practical significance to study the surface displacement of local terrains with underground tunnels in earthquake engineering and seismology. In this work, the region is divided into three regions by the method of region matching. By using the fractional Bessel function and Hankel function, the complex function method, and the wave function expansion method, the wavefield expression of SH waves is introduced. With the help of a constitutive relation between the displacement and the stress components, the hoop stress and radial stress is obtained subsequently. Then, utilizing the continuous condition at different region boundaries, the undetermined coefficients in wave fields are solved by the Fourier series expansion and truncation of the finite term. Finally, the validity of the method is verified, and the surface displacement amplitude is calculated. The surface displacement amplitude curve is discussed in the numerical results. The results show that different parameters, such as radius and buried depth of the tunnel, wave number, and incident angle of the SH wave, have a significant influence on the amplitude of surface displacement. For the underground tunnel, the increase of buried depth will make the response of surface displacement amplitude increases at first and then decreases. However, the increase of radius leads the response of surface displacement amplitude to appear an opposite phenomenon. The increase of SH wave number can enlarge the amplitude of surface displacement, and the change of incident angle can obviously affect the amplitude fluctuation. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=method%20of%20region%20matching" title="method of region matching">method of region matching</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=scattering%20of%20SH%20wave" title=" scattering of SH wave"> scattering of SH wave</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=subsurface%20cavity" title=" subsurface cavity"> subsurface cavity</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=trapezoidal%20hill" title=" trapezoidal hill"> trapezoidal hill</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/116536/interaction-between-trapezoidal-hill-and-subsurface-cavity-under-sh-wave-incidence" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/116536.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">133</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12149</span> Geometric Properties of Some q-Bessel Functions</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=%C4%B0brahim%20Akta%C5%9F">İbrahim Aktaş</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=%C3%81rp%C3%A1d%20Baricz"> Árpád Baricz</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In this paper, the radii of star likeness of the Jackson and Hahn-Exton q-Bessel functions are considered, and for each of them three different normalizations is applied. There is a myriad of factors that influence and enhance innovation but it has been found in the literature that new product innovations accounted for an average of 14 percent of sales revenues for all firms. If there is one thing that has changed in innovation management during the last decade, it is the growing reliance on external partners. As a consequence, a new task for purchasing arises, as firms need to understand which suppliers actually do have high potential contributing to the innovativeness of the firm and which do not. Purchasing function in an organization is extremely important as it deals on an average of 50% or more of a firm's expenditures. In the nineties the purchasing department was largely seen as a transaction-oriented, clerical function but today purchasing integration provides a formal interface mechanism between purchasing and other firm functions that services other functions within the company. Purchasing function has to be organized differently to enable firm innovation potential. However, innovations are inherently risky. There are behavioral risk (that some partner will take advantage of the other party), technological risk in terms of complexity of products and processes of manufacturing and incoming materials and finally market risks, which in fact judge the value of the innovation. These risks are investigated in this work since it has been found in the literature that the higher the technological risk, higher will be the centralization of the purchasing function as an interface with other supply chain members. Most researches on organization of purchasing function were done by case study analysis of innovative firms. This work actually tends to prove or discard results found in the literature based on case study method. A large data set of 1493 companies, from 25 countries collected in the GMRG 4 survey served as a basis for analysis. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=purchasing%20function%20organization" title="purchasing function organization">purchasing function organization</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=innovation" title=" innovation"> innovation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=technological%20risk" title=" technological risk"> technological risk</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=GMRG%204%20survey" title=" GMRG 4 survey"> GMRG 4 survey</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/13026/organization-of-the-purchasing-function-for-innovation" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/13026.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">482</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12147</span> On the Fractional Integration of Generalized Mittag-Leffler Type Functions</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Christian%20Lavault">Christian Lavault</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In this paper, the generalized fractional integral operators of two generalized Mittag-Leffler type functions are investigated.
