His father Alberto, and his four-year-old brother Jeremías, kept to a separate bedroom. Jeremías had to stop attending nursery school, for fear he’d bring home an infection his baby brother might catch. This Symposium also presents an opportunity to review the challenges faced by investigators moving into the clinic and to discuss examples of technical and regulatory hurdles that have been successfully addressed. The Gene Therapy Symposium will be open to both the NIH community and to the general public. The program is still in the early phases of development.
