Inventory of the estate of Mrs. Mary Barbara THOMAS, deceased, the widow of the late Henry THOMAS on the Highlands, to be divided between the seven named heirs, some deceased. It listed cash on hand, cotton crop, promissary notes, personal property due and payable, and amount due on landed estate, totaling $19, 237.70. Included were sixteen slaves. Also mentioned were two lots of ground in Square 57 of the town of Baton Rouge, also stock running at large. At the end of the description of property on the highlands of 11 x 40 arpents was the figure of $12,044.50. </p><p>These records were donated by the Terrrebonne Genealogical Society. These are the conveyance records for Terrebonne Parish, LA from #1 (1822) to #2167 (1837). The original records are in the Terrebonne Parish Courthouse.
