<div class="page"> <h1 class="page_title">Open Access</h1> <p>This is a Gold Open Access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the <a href="https://www.budapestopenaccessinitiative.org/">Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI)</a> definition of open access.</p> <h2><strong>License & Copyright</strong></h2> <p>The<em> Artificial Intelligence and Applications</em> applies the <a href="https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY)</a> license to published articles. Under this license, authors retain ownership of the copyright for their content, but they allow anyone to download, reuse, reprint, modify, distribute and/or copy the content as long as the original authors and source are cited. Appropriate attribution can be provided by simply citing the original article.</p> <h2><strong>Article Processing Charge</strong></h2> <p>All articles published in the <em>Artificial Intelligence and Applications</em> are published in Gold Open Access. In order to provide free access to readers, and to cover the costs of peer review, copyediting, typesetting, long-term archiving, and journal management, a one-time article processing charge (APC) of <strong>800 USD (US Dollars)</strong> applies to papers accepted after peer review.</p> <p><em>Artificial Intelligence and Applications</em> does not charge a submission fee which means there are no charges for rejected articles. The length of an article and figures or supplementary data are not subject to additional fees by the journal. Some items (Editorials, Corrections, Addendums, Retractions, Comments, etc.) are published free of charge.</p> <p>Local VAT or Sales Tax will be added if applicable.</p> <p><strong>The journal is currently free to the authors, and all Article Processing Charges (APCs) are waived until 28 February 2025.</strong></p> <h2 id="Waivers and Discounts List">Waivers and Discounts List</h2> <p>To help support researchers who are unable to meet some or all of the costs associated with publishing open access, we operate a transparent waiver policy.
