</h2><div id="_rich_text-15-15" class="oxy-rich-text" ><p>Multiple streams of work are underway to engage nurses and other care workers across the globe in the leadership of and education for excellent orthogeriatric care with the aim of working towards the <a href="https://fragilityfracturenetwork.org/ffn-resources/">FFN Pillars of the Global Call to Action</a>. This is a joint initiative involving the FFN regions and country FFNs alongside the Education Committee and Special Interest Groups. The work is a continuation of that started in 2017 following the successful San Servolo Educational Nursing Project from which educational courses were hosted in many European Countries and China.</p><p>A springboard for the current work is the publication of the 2<sup>nd</sup> edition of the online open access book, “<a href="https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-031-33484-9#about-this-book">Fragility Fracture and Orthogeriatric Nursing</a>” published in 2024. The book is currently being translated into several languages.</p><p>Education will be provided globally for nurses and other care workers on the evidence-based management of fragility fracture patients using an orthogeriatric approach. The project will include online learning through a series of modules, webinars, educational mentorship and assessment of learning achieved. A large resource of learning materials is currently under development and will be delivered via an online learning platform in the near future.
