(2003) and Ph.D. (2006) from the University of Macau, China and is currently Professor and Director of the State-Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI at the University of Macau. His research interests are on analog and radio-frequency integrated circuits and systems for wireless and multidisciplinary innovations. He co-founded the DigiFluidic Biotech Ltd, China, in 2018 for commercializing an electronic-automated digital microfluidic platform for virus screening and food-quality monitoring.</p><p>Professor Mak was recognized in 2023 as one of the Top Contributing Authors in the past 70 years of ISSCC. He received the Tencent Xplorer Prize in 2022 for his contribution to the battery-less IoT electronics, the Visiting Chair Professorship in 2021 endowed by the Chinese Ministry of Education, and the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2011 for his contribution to the analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits. He was on the editorial board of the IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits 2018-2023, IEEE Solid-State Circuits Letters 2017-2023, and a number of IEEE periodicals. He served on the Technical Program Committee of the ISSCC, A-SSCC and ESSCIRC, and was Distinguished Lecturer for the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society and IEEE Circuits and Systems Society. He is an Overseas Expert of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Fellow of the IEEE, IET and UK Royal Society of Chemistry, for his multidisciplinary contributions to the cross fields of science,
