He that abides in Me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit; because, apart from Me, ye can do nothing.<Fr> <A name="7"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/15-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span><FR>Unless one abides in Me, he was cast forth as a branch, and withered; and they gather them, and cast <i>them</i> into the fire, and they are burned.<Fr> <A name="8"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/15-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span><FR>If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done to you.<Fr> <A name="9"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/15-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span><FR>In this was My Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit, and become My disciples.<Fr> <A name="10"></a><p class="hdg">No Greater Love<p><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/15-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span><FR>Even as the Father loved Me, I also loved you; abide in My love.<Fr> <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/15-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span><FR>If ye keep My commandments, ye shall abide in My love, even as I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love.<Fr> <A name="12"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/15-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span><FR>These things have I spoken to you, that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.<Fr><p> <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/15-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span><FR>This is My commandment, that ye love one another, even as I loved you.<Fr><p> <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/15-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span><FR>Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his soul for his friends.<Fr> <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/15-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span><FR>Ye are My friends, if ye do what I command you.<Fr> <A name="16"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/15-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span><FR>No longer do I call you slaves; because the slave knows not what his lord is doing; but I have called you friends, because all things which I heard from My Father I made known to you.<Fr> <A name="17"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/15-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span><FR>Ye did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that ye should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should abide; that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it you.<Fr> <A name="18"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/15-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span><FR>These things I command you, that ye may love one another.<Fr><p> <A name="19"></a><p class="hdg">The Hatred of the World<p><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/15-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span><FR>If the world hates you, ye know that it has hated Me before <i>it hated</i> you.<Fr> <A name="20"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/15-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span><FR>If ye were of the world, the world would love its own; but because ye are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.<Fr> <A name="21"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/15-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span><FR>Remember the word which I spake to you, 'A servant is not greater than his lord.'
