Results of modern technique developments have brought in this kind of information for military purposes. Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is one of the means to gather intelligence owing to its widespread applications. It is still not clear whether or not the mini UAV with short-range wireless transmission system is used as a reconnaissance system in Taiwanese. In this paper, previous experience on the research of the sort of aerial vehicles has been applied with a data-relay system using the ZigBee modulus. The mini UAV developed is expected to be able to collect certain data in some appropriate theaters. The omni-directional antenna with high gain is also integrated into mini UAV to fit the size-reducing trend of airborne sensors. Two advantages are so far obvious. First, mini UAV can fly higher than usual to avoid being attacked from ground fires. Second, the data will be almost gathered during all maneuvering attitudes. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mini%20UAV" title="mini UAV">mini UAV</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=reconnaissance" title=" reconnaissance"> reconnaissance</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=wireless%20transmission" title=" wireless transmission"> wireless transmission</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ZigBee%20modulus" title=" ZigBee modulus"> ZigBee modulus</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/105615/study-on-wireless-transmission-for-reconnaissance-uav-with-wireless-sensor-network-and-cylindrical-array-of-microstrip-antennas" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/105615.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">194</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">268</span> Composite Kernels for Public Emotion Recognition from Twitter</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chien-Hung%20Chen">Chien-Hung Chen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yan-Chun%20Hsing"> Yan-Chun Hsing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yung-Chun%20Chang"> Yung-Chun Chang</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The Internet has grown into a powerful medium for information dispersion and social interaction that leads to a rapid growth of social media which allows users to easily post their emotions and perspectives regarding certain topics online. Our research aims at using natural language processing and text mining techniques to explore the public emotions expressed on Twitter by analyzing the sentiment behind tweets. In this paper, we propose a composite kernel method that integrates tree kernel with the linear kernel to simultaneously exploit both the tree representation and the distributed emotion keyword representation to analyze the syntactic and content information in tweets. The experiment results demonstrate that our method can effectively detect public emotion of tweets while outperforming the other compared methods. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=emotion%20recognition" title="emotion recognition">emotion recognition</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=natural%20language%20processing" title=" natural language processing"> natural language processing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=composite%20kernel" title=" composite kernel"> composite kernel</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sentiment%20analysis" title=" sentiment analysis"> sentiment analysis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=text%20mining" title=" text mining"> text mining</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/97115/composite-kernels-for-public-emotion-recognition-from-twitter" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/97115.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">218</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">267</span> A Derivative of L-allo Threonine Alleviates Asthmatic Symptoms in vitro and in vivo</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kun%20Chun">Kun Chun</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jin-Chun%20Heo"> Jin-Chun Heo</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sang-Han%20Lee"> Sang-Han Lee</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Asthma is a chronic airway inflammatory disease characterized by the infiltration of inflammatory cells and tissue remodeling. In this study, we examined the anti-asthmatic activity of a derivative of L-allo threonine by in vitro and in vivo anti-asthmatic assays. Ovalbumin (OVA)-induced C57BL/6 mice were used to analyze lung inflammation and cytokine expressions for exhibiting anti-atopic activity of the derivative. LX519290, a derivative of L-allo threonine, induced an increased IFN-γ and a decreased IL-10 mRNA level. This compound exhibited potent anti-asthmatic activity by decreasing immune cell infiltration in the lung, and IL-4 and IL-13 cytokine levels in the serum of OVA-induced mice. These results indicated that chronic airway injury was decreased by LX519290. We also assessed that LX519290 inhibits infiltration of immune cell, mucus release and cytokine expression in an in vivo model. Our results collectively suggest that the L-allo threonine is effective in alleviating asthmatic symptoms by treating inflammatory factors in the lung. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=asthma" title="asthma">asthma</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=L%20-allo%20threonine" title=" L -allo threonine"> L -allo threonine</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=LX519290" title=" LX519290"> LX519290</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mice" title=" mice"> mice</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/3306/a-derivative-of-l-allo-threonine-alleviates-asthmatic-symptoms-in-vitro-and-in-vivo" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/3306.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">382</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">266</span> A Study on the Assessment of Prosthetic Infection after Total Knee Replacement Surgery</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chun-Lang%20Chang">Chun-Lang Chang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chun-Kai%20Liu"> Chun-Kai Liu</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In this study, the patients that have undergone total knee replacement surgery from the 2010 National Health Insurance database were adopted as the study participants. However, lack of research reported nurses whether workload in household correlated with the severity of WMSDs. Methods: 550 nurses from a hospital in Taoyuan were interviewed using a modified standardized Nordic Musculoskeletal (NMQ) questionnaire including the demographic information, workplace condition and nine body parts of musculoskeletal disorders. Results: 17.9% and 23.9% of severity and symptoms in WMSDs among nurses with children were significant higher than among nurses without children (12.4% and 15.9%). Based on multiple logistic regression models adjusted for age, work duration, job title and body mass index (BMI), we found that heavy workload in hospital had higher odds ratio (OR) of the severity and symptoms of WMSD among nurses with children (OR= 8.67 and OR= 4.30, p<0.05) compared to nurses without children (OR= 1.94 and OR= 1.70). Conclusion: The severity and symptoms of WMSDs among nurses significantly correlated with workload in hospital among nurses with children. If women are at greater risk because of the combination of their work and family demands, synergistic effect of WMSDs was found among nurses. Comment: Women's domestic work, especially once they become mothers, they invest more time and energy caring for children, helping others, and doing housework. Thus domestic work, per se, may be a risk factor for wrist musculoskeletal problems, and, more importantly, it may constrain women's ability to protect themselves from the effects of their paid work. If nurses with more domestic work periodically make efforts to physical activity or modify inappropriate posture, their WMSDs symptoms will be alleviated. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=musculoskeletal%20disorders" title="musculoskeletal disorders">musculoskeletal disorders</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=nurse" title=" nurse"> nurse</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=NMQ" title=" NMQ"> NMQ</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=WMSDs" title=" WMSDs"> WMSDs</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/53368/combination-of-work-and-family-demands-correlated-with-the-severity-of-wrist-musculoskeletal-disorders-among-nurses" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/53368.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">355</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">263</span> A Modularized Sensing Platform for Sensor Design Demonstration</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chun-Ming%20Huang">Chun-Ming Huang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yi-Jun%20Liu"> Yi-Jun Liu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yi-Jie%20Hsieh"> Yi-Jie Hsieh</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jin-Ju%20Chue"> Jin-Ju Chue</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Wei-Lin%20Lai"> Wei-Lin Lai</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chun-Yu%20Chen"> Chun-Yu Chen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chih-Chyau%20Yang"> Chih-Chyau Yang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chien-Ming%20Wu"> Chien-Ming Wu</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The market of wearable devices has been growing rapidly in two years. The integration of sensors and wearable devices has become the trend of the next technology products. Thus, the academics and industries are eager to cultivate talented persons in sensing technology. Currently, academic and industries have more and more demands on the integrations of versatile sensors and applications, especially for the teams who focus on the development of sensor circuit architectures. These teams tape-out many MEMs sensors chips through the chip fabrication service from National Chip Implementation Center (CIC). However, most of these teams are only able to focus on the circuit design of MEMs sensors; they lack the key support of further system demonstration. This paper follows the CIC’s main mission of promoting the chip/system advanced design technology and aims to establish the environments of the modularized sensing system platform and the system design flow with the measurement and calibration technology. These developed environments are used to support these research teams and help academically advanced sensor designs to perform the system demonstration. Thus, the research groups can promote and transfer their advanced sensor designs to industrial and further derive the industrial economic values. In this paper, the modularized sensing platform is proposed to enable the system demonstration for advanced sensor chip design. The environment of sensor measurement and calibration is established for academic to achieve an accurate sensor result. Two reference sensor designs cooperated with the modularized sensing platform are given to show the sensing system integration and demonstration. These developed environments and platforms are currently provided to academics in Taiwan, and so that the academics can obtain a better environment to perform the system demonstration and improve the research and teaching quality. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=modularized%20sensing%20platform" title="modularized sensing platform">modularized sensing platform</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sensor%20design%20and%20calibration" title=" sensor design and calibration"> sensor design and calibration</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sensor%20system" title=" sensor system"> sensor system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sensor%20system%20design%20flow" title=" sensor system design flow"> sensor system design flow</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/73935/a-modularized-sensing-platform-for-sensor-design-demonstration" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/73935.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">235</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">262</span> New Wine in an Old Bottle? Zhong-Yong thinking emphasizes (a) holistic thinking and perspective taking, (b) tolerance of contradictions, and (c) pursuance of a person’s interpersonal and inner harmony. With a unique way of naïve dialectical thinking based on Chinese culture, previous studies have found that people with higher Zhong-Yong thinking have more cognitive resources and resilience to make decision for dilemmas and cope stresses. Creativity is defined as the behavior to create novel and value products and viewed as the most important capital for individuals and enterprises. However, the relationship between Zhong-Yong thinking and creativity is still remaining to be unexplored. Three studies were conducted to explore the effects of Zhong-Yong thinking on creativity. In Study1, with 87 undergraduate students from a university in southern Taiwan as participants, we used questionnaire to measure Zhong-Yong thinking and processed creative task (unusual uses task) to get indicators of fluency and flexibility. After controlling background and openness to experience of Big five, the results showed that Zhong-Yong thinking had significant positive effects on fluency and flexibility. In Study 2, 97 undergraduate students were recruited to do Zhong-Yong thinking task and creative task. The result showed that, compared with control group, the participants had higher creative performance after being primed with Zhong-Yong thinking. In Study 3, we adopted questionnaire survey and took 397 employees from private enterprises in Taiwan as sample. Besides the main effects of Zhong-Yong thinking, the moderating effects on the relationship between leadership behavior and employee’s creative performance were also investigated. We found that (a) Zhong-Yong thinking was positively associated to creative performance; (b) Zhong-Yong thinking strengthened the positive effects of transformational and authoritative leadership on creative performance. Finally, the implications of theory/practice and limitations/future directions were also discussed. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Zhong-Yong%20thinking" title="Zhong-Yong thinking">Zhong-Yong thinking</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=creativity%20and%20creative%20performance" title=" creativity and creative performance"> creativity and creative performance</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=unusual%20uses%20task" title=" unusual uses task"> unusual uses task</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=transformational%20leadership" title=" transformational leadership"> transformational leadership</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=authoritative%20leadership" title=" authoritative leadership "> authoritative leadership </a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/21505/new-wine-in-an-old-bottle-zhong-yong-thinking-and-creativity" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/21505.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">582</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">261</span> Mott Transition in the VO2/LSCO Heterojunction</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yi%20Hu">Yi Hu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chun-Chi%20Lin"> Chun-Chi Lin</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shau-En%20Yeh"> Shau-En Yeh</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shin%20Lee"> Shin Lee</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In this study, p–n heterojunctions with La0.5Sr0.5CoO3 (LSCO) and W-doped VO2 thin films were fabricated by the radio frequency (r.f.) magnetron sputtering technique and sol-gel process, respectively. The thickness of VO2 and LSCO thin films are about 40 nm and 400 nm, respectively. Good crystalline match between LSCO and VO2 films was observed from the SEM. The built-in voltages for the junction are about 1.1 V and 2.3 V for the sample in the metallic and insulating state, respectively. The sample can undergo the current induced MIT during applying field when the sample was heated at 40 and 50ºC. This is in agreement with the value obtained from the difference in the work functions of LSCO and VO2. Different from past studies on leader-subordinate relationship taking viewpoint of self-concept or interaction between categories, we took perspective of social cognitive schema with special focus on the cognition structure and category content of the vertical leader-subordinate relationship. This study firstly clarified the dimensions and contents of cognitive structure of vertical leader-subordinate relationship. By using two dimensions of “equal/unequal” and “close/distant”, the contents of the leader-subordinate relational identity (LSRI) are classified into four categories: communal affection RI (equal and close), instrumental exchange RI (equal but distant), care-repay RI (unequal but close), and authority-obedience RI (unequal and distant). Furthermore, according to the four dimensions of leader-subordinate relational identity, we explored: (1) how a leader’s LSRI leads to paternalistic leadership; and (2) how paternalistic leadership affects subordinate’s LSRI. Using 59 work group as sample (59 leaders and 251 subordinates), the results of HLM and regression analysis showed: (1) leader’s LSRI significantly affects leadership behavior: instrumental exchange RI is positively relates to authoritarian leadership behavior, but significantly has negative relationship with benevolent leadership; care-repay RI has significantly positive relationship with authoritative leadership; authority-obedience RI has significantly positive relationship with authoritarian leadership; (2) paternalistic leadership is significantly related to subordinates’ LSRI: benevolent leadership is positively related to subordinate’s communal affection and care-repay RI; authoritative leadership has significantly positive relationship with care-repay and authority-obedience RI; authoritarian leadership has significantly positive relationship with subordinate’s instrumental exchange RI. Finally, the main findings, contributions and limits, future research directions, and implications were also discussed. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=relational%20identity" title="relational identity">relational identity</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=leader-subordinate%20relational%20identity%20%28LSRI%29" title=" leader-subordinate relational identity (LSRI)"> leader-subordinate relational identity (LSRI)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=relational%20schema" title=" relational schema"> relational schema</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=paternalistic%20leadership" title=" paternalistic leadership"> paternalistic leadership</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/21432/what-is-the-matter-of-identity-to-leadership-behavior-leader-subordinate-relational-identity-and-paternalistic-leadership" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/21432.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">552</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">259</span> On Privacy-Preserving Search in the Encrypted Domain</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chun-Shien%20Lu">Chun-Shien Lu</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Privacy-preserving query has recently received considerable attention in the signal processing and multimedia community. Due to the fast economic growth in China, many different kinds of juices have been introduced to the market. If a beverage company can understand their customers’ preference well, the juice can be served more attractively. Thus, this study intends to introduce the basic theory and computing process of grapes juice flavor forecasting based on support vector regression (SVR). Applying SVR, BPN and LR to forecast the flavor of grapes juice in real data, the result shows that SVR is more suitable and effective at predicting performance. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=flavor%20forecasting" title="flavor forecasting">flavor forecasting</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=artificial%20neural%20networks" title=" artificial neural networks"> artificial neural networks</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Support%20Vector%20Regression" title=" Support Vector Regression"> Support Vector Regression</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=China" title=" China"> China</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/21311/forecasting-of-grape-juice-flavor-by-using-support-vector-regression" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/21311.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">492</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">256</span> Recovery of Boron from Industrial Wastewater by Chemical Oxo-Precipitation</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yao-Hui%20Huang">Yao-Hui Huang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ming-Chun%20Yen"> Ming-Chun Yen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jui-Yen%20Lin"> Jui-Yen Lin</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yu-Jen%20Shih"> Yu-Jen Shih</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This work investigated the reclamation of boron in industrial wastewaters by a chemical oxo-precipitation (COP) technique at room temperature. In COP, the boric acid was pretreated with H₂O₂, yielding various perborate anions. Afterwards, calcium chloride was used to efficiently remove boron through precipitation of calcium perborate. The important factors included reacted pH and the molar ratio of [Ca]/[B]. Under conditions of pH 11 and [Ca]/[B] of 1, the boron concentration could be reduced immediately from 600 ppm to 50 ppm in 10 minutes. The boron removal was enhanced with a higher [Ca]/[B], which further reduced boron to 20 ppm in 10 minutes. Nevertheless, the dissolution of carbon dioxide potentially affected the efficacy of COP and increased the boron concentration after 10 minutes. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=chemical%20oxo-precipitation" title="chemical oxo-precipitation">chemical oxo-precipitation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=boron" title=" boron"> boron</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=carbon%20dioxide" title=" carbon dioxide"> carbon dioxide</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=hydrogen%20peroxide" title=" hydrogen peroxide"> hydrogen peroxide</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/54161/recovery-of-boron-from-industrial-wastewater-by-chemical-oxo-precipitation" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/54161.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">284</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">255</span> Conductive and Stretchable Graphene Nanoribbon Coated Textiles</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Lu%20Gan">Lu Gan</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Songmin%20Shang"> Songmin Shang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Marcus%20Chun%20Wah%20Yuen"> Marcus Chun Wah Yuen</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> A conductive and stretchable cotton fabric was prepared in this study through coating the graphene nanoribbon onto the cotton fabric. The microstructure and microwave dielectric properties of the ceramic materials were examined and measured. The observations shows that the content of Ni2+ ions has little effect on the crystal structure, dielectric constant, temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τf) and sintering temperatures of the ceramics. However, the quality values (Q×f) are greatly improved due to the addition of Ni2+ ions. The present study showed that the ceramic material prepared for x = 0.05 and sintered at 1325ºC had the best Q×f value of 392,000 GHz, about 23% improvement compared with that of Mg2(Ti0.95Sn0.05)O4. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=%28Mg1-xNix%292%28Ti0.95Sn0.05%29O4" title="(Mg1-xNix)2(Ti0.95Sn0.05)O4">(Mg1-xNix)2(Ti0.95Sn0.05)O4</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=microwave%20dielectric%20ceramics" title=" microwave dielectric ceramics"> microwave dielectric ceramics</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=high%20quality%20factor" title=" high quality factor"> high quality factor</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=high%20frequency%20wireless%20communication" title=" high frequency wireless communication"> high frequency wireless communication</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/13221/ultra-low-loss-dielectric-properties-of-mg1-xnix2ti095sn005o4-microwave-ceramics" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/13221.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">486</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">249</span> The Driving Force for Taiwan Social Innovation Business Model Transformation: A Case Study of Social Innovation Internet Celebrity Training Project</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shih-Jie%20Ma">Shih-Jie Ma</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jui-Hsu%20Hsiao"> Jui-Hsu Hsiao</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ming-Ying%20Hsieh"> Ming-Ying Hsieh</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shin-Yan%20Yang"> Shin-Yan Yang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chun-Han%20Yeh"> Chun-Han Yeh</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kuo-Chun%20Su"> Kuo-Chun Su</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In Taiwan, social enterprises and non-profit organizations (NPOs) are not familiar with innovative business models, such as live streaming. In 2019, a brand new course called internet celebrity training project is introduced to them by the Social Innovation Lab. The Goal of this paper is to evaluate the effect of this project, to explore the role of new technology (internet live stream) in business process management (BPM), and to analyze how live stream programs can assist social enterprises in creating new business models. Social Innovation, with the purpose to solve social issues in innovative ways, is one of the most popular topics in the world. Social Innovation Lab was established in 2017 by Executive Yuan in Taiwan. The vision of Social Innovation Lab is to exploit technology, innovation and experimental methods to solve social issues, and to maximize the benefits from government investment. Social Innovation Lab aims at creating a platform for both supply and demand sides of social issues, to make social enterprises and start-ups communicate with each other, and to build an eco-system in which stakeholders can make a social impact. Social Innovation Lab keeps helping social enterprises and NPOs to gain better publicity and to enhance competitiveness by facilitating digital transformation. In this project, Social Innovation Lab exerted the influence of social media such as YouTube and Facebook, to make social enterprises and start-ups adjust their business models by using the live stream of social media, which becomes one of the tools to expand their market and diversify their sales channels. Internet live stream training courses were delivered in different regions of Taiwan in 2019, including Taitung, Taichung, Kaohsiung and Hualien. Through these courses, potential groups and enterprises were cultivated to become so-called internet celebrities. With their concern about social issues in mind, these internet celebrities know how to manipulate social media to make a social impact in different fields, such as aboriginal people, food and agriculture, LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability), environmental protection and senior citizens. Participants of live stream training courses in Taiwan are selected to take in-depth interviews and questionnaire surveys. Results indicate that the digital transformation process of social enterprises and NPOs can be successful by implementing business process reengineering, a significant change made by social innovation internet celebrities. Therefore, this project can be the new driving force to facilitate the business model transformation in Taiwan. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=business%20process%20management" title="business process management">business process management</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=digital%20transformation" title=" digital transformation"> digital transformation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=live%20stream" title=" live stream"> live stream</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=social%20innovation" title=" social innovation"> social innovation</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/109091/the-driving-force-for-taiwan-social-innovation-business-model-transformation-a-case-study-of-social-innovation-internet-celebrity-training-project" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/109091.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">146</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">248</span> The Impact of Market Orientation on the Adoption of E-Marketing and Value Co-Creation</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shu-Hui%20Chuang">Shu-Hui Chuang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shao-Chun%20Chiu"> Shao-Chun Chiu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shu-Hsin%20Chuang"> Shu-Hsin Chuang</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> While the marketing management literature is regarding the direct benefits of market orientation (MO) on firm value, the impact of such MO-based value co-creation remains largely an unexplored area of research. Thus, the primary objective of this study is to provide some new perspectives in examining how MO can enhance value co-creation for customers and sellers. In particular, drawing from the relational view of the firm and IT literature, we propose that the chain of MO-based co-creation of value and how adopt e-marketing systems between partners can facilitate this chain. Using data on use of the e-marketing system, we empirically validate that the sellers’ integrated MO is critical in increasing the e-marketing adoption, which in turn helps to creation co-creation value for both parties. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=market%20orientation" title="market orientation">market orientation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=value%20co-creation" title=" value co-creation"> value co-creation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=e-marketing%20system" title=" e-marketing system"> e-marketing system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=relational%20view%20of%20the%20firm" title=" relational view of the firm"> relational view of the firm</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/20460/the-impact-of-market-orientation-on-the-adoption-of-e-marketing-and-value-co-creation" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/20460.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">527</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">247</span> Sleep Scheduling Schemes Integrating Relay Node and User Equipment in LTE-A</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chun-Chuan%20Yang">Chun-Chuan Yang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jeng-Yueng%20Chen"> Jeng-Yueng Chen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yi-Ting%20Mai"> Yi-Ting Mai</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hsieh-Hua%20Liu"> Hsieh-Hua Liu</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> By introduction of Relay Nodes (RNs), LTE-Advanced can provide enhanced coverage and capacity at cell edges and hot-spot areas. Estimation of water seepage or inflow is one of the main challenges in probabilistic assessment of tunnels. The methodology proposed in this study is an attempt for mathematically modeling the water seepage in tunnel structures and further predicting its service life. Using the time-dependent reliability, water seepage is formulated as a failure mode, which can be used for prediction of service life. In East Asia, acupuncture is a common treatment for migraine prevention. Acupuncture can modulate migraine through both peripheral and central mechanism and decrease the allodynia process. Molecular pathway suggests that acupuncture relief migraine by regulating neurotransmitters/neuromodulators. This process was also proven by neural imaging. Acupuncture decrease the headache frequency and intensity compared to routine care. We also review the most common chosen acupoints to treat migraine and its treatment protocol. As a result, we suggested that acupuncture can serve as an option to migraine treatment and prevention. However, more studies are needed to establish the mechanism and therapeutic roles of acupuncture in treating migraine. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a
