high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a skilled Service Desk Administrator to join our Enterprise Technology team in Shanghai. We are looking for a smart, patient, and dedicated individual who will work with Tower’s employees to resolve hardware and software issues. </p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>The Service Desk Administrator will be responsible for:</p> <ul> <li>Identifying, prioritizing, resolving and triaging incidents and requests</li> <li>Monitoring and overseeing the Service Desk Function, and reporting any incidents and escalations</li> <li>Assist Infosec with tasks related to identifying and handling IT security incidents using industry best practices</li> <li>Proactively working on issues, identifying problem areas, and providing solutions to enhance quality of service and to prevent future problems</li> <li>Supporting, Installing and troubleshooting meeting room AV hardwares. Knowledge with Logitech/Google AV hardware would be a plus</li> <li>Installing, troubleshooting and supporting Windows desktops, Linux desktops, MacOS Laptops, Windows Laptops and iOS devices</li> <li>Installing, configuring and supporting desk phones</li> <li>Creating new user accounts, groups etc</li> <li>Repairing and upgrading hardware including desktops, laptops, conference room equipments, printers, and scanners</li> <li>Managing and maintaining information on Tower’s internal Documentation hub residing on Confluence pages</li> <li>Maintaining Enterprise Hardwares inventory records for tracking and compliance/auditing</li> <li>Racking and stacking of servers with the assistance of Tower Data Center team</li> <li>Researching materials for procurement through vendors</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p>The ideal candidate will have:</p> <ul> <li>Solid knowledge of PC hardware and computer internals</li> <li>Desktop support knowledge</li> <li>The ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware failures</li> <li>The basic understanding and application of Password management, MFA, Encryption, Phishing, Endpoint Security, Proxy, Firewall</li> <li>A passion for technology</li> <li>Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail</li> <li>The ability to balance and prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>The ability to work well as part of a team that supports production, back-office computing, and end user support functions</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret English-language technical documents</li> <li>Ability to speak business-level English and Mandarin</li> <li>Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence (preferred)</li> <li>A working knowledge of Linux (preferred)</li> <li>An educational background in computer science or IT (preferred)</li> </ul> <p>Candidates should also be:</p> <ul> <li>Organized, responsible, and meticulous</li> <li>Strong communicators</li> <li>Proactive and willing to take initiative</li> <li>Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Able to work both with a team and independently</li> <li>Available to travel to different Tower Offices based out of Hong Kong and Singapore to provide support from those regions</li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits</strong></p> <p>Tower continues to enhance the in-house trading system and strategies that have positioned the firm as a leader in the thriving field of quantitative trading.
