As I mentioned in a recent post, a growing number of families need food and creature comforts: socks, skivvies, pants, and warm coats. And let’s not forget food.</p><p id="4366" class="pw-post-body-paragraph oo op hd oq b ig or os ot ij ou ov ow ox oy oz pa pb pc pd pe pf pg ph pi pj gw bk">I promised my oldest daughter I’d buy a turkey for her. She has two growing teen boys and a hubby. As in recent years, she’s having her mother over for dinner. Feeding five people isn’t inexpensive. I thought I’d save her $25 or $30 by buying the bird.</p><p id="d66a" class="pw-post-body-paragraph oo op hd oq b ig or os ot ij ou ov ow ox oy oz pa pb pc pd pe pf pg ph pi pj gw bk">It turns out I didn’t need to give her the bird. (I couldn’t resist.) My company is giving employees a turkey, stuffing — dressing to you fancy folks — and a pie.</p><p id="94d0" class="pw-post-body-paragraph oo op hd oq b ig or os ot ij ou ov ow ox oy oz pa pb pc pd pe pf pg ph pi pj gw bk">Briana and I are going to my sister’s house for Thanksgiving, so I gave my oldest child the goodies. And if anyone’s wondering why my oldest daughter and her family aren’t going, that was her choice.</p><p id="14ca" class="pw-post-body-paragraph oo op hd oq b ig or os ot ij ou ov ow ox oy oz pa pb pc pd pe pf pg ph pi pj gw bk">My sister and her husband are generous to a fault. I don’t know if it’s a generational attitude or one we got from our parents.
