other official documents. This page provides an overview of DocuSign and Adobe Sign, and explains their legal standing and security compliance.</p> <h3><strong>What are DocuSign and Adobe Sign?</strong></h3> <p>DocuSign and Adobe Sign are services providing secure digital transaction management. They allow us to administer contracts and other official documents electronically.</p> <h3><strong>What is an eSignature, and how do I create one?</strong></h3> <p>An electronic signature (or eSignature) is the equivalent of your handwritten signature on a document: it is a form of authorisation showing your approval of the content of a document.</p> <p>Both DocuSign and Adobe Sign will take you through the steps necessary to create and add your eSignature to the documents we send you. There are several ways you will be able to create and modify your signature. You can find guidance on this process on the <a href="http://web.archive.org/web/20230201060403/https://support.docusign.com/articles/How-do-I-sign-a-DocuSign-document-Basic-Signing">DocuSign</a> and <a href="http://web.archive.org/web/20230201060403/https://helpx.adobe.com/sign/help/how-to-sign-agreements.html">Adobe Sign</a> websites.</p> <p>For eSignatures – as with your handwritten signature – if you are signing on behalf of an organisation, you should make sure you are authorised by that organisation to sign on its behalf.</p> <h3><strong>Are electronic signatures secure and legally binding?</strong></h3> <p>Yes. Both DocuSign and Adobe Sign are ISO27001 certified. DocuSign additionally provides full document encryption to ensure documents are only accessible by authorised individuals. Legislation is in place that gives eSignatures the equivalent force in law as handwritten signatures.</p> <h3><strong>Why do we use these services?</strong></h3> <p>These services allow us to administer our contracts and other official documents in a more efficient and swift manner.
