V." (VfS) ist ein Zusammenschluß von Organisationen die im Forstbereich in Bayern tätig sind. Hauptziel des VfS ist es, Entscheidungshilfen für Waldbesitzer zu erarbeiten, um Sie bei der Umsetzung einer nachhaltigen und standortsgemäßen Waldbewirtschaftung zu unterstützen. Zu diesem Zweck wurden über die letzten 25 Jahre hinweg in einer Langzeit-Inventur die Standortsverhältnisse der Privat-und Körperschaftswälder in Bayern gründlich untersucht. Dabei wurden Bodenfeinkartierungen durchgeführt und unter Berücksichtigung weiterer Standortsfaktoren wie Klima, Vegetation, Relief, Geologie und menschlichen Einflüsse eine Bewertung des Standorts im Hinblick auf die Forstliche Nutzung vorgenommen. Die großmaßstäbliche Darstellung auf der amtlichen Flurkarte im Maßstab 1:5000 erlaubt dabei parzellenscharfe Aussagen. Der VfS will die Waldbesitzer und FBGs 1 in Bayern dabei unterstützen, möglichst effizient und gezielt zu arbeiten. Zu diesem Zweck wurden die erhobenen, zunächst analogen Standortsdaten in ein zeitgemäßes digitales Forstliches Informationssystem (FIS) integriert und ein internes Client-Server-System konzipiert. Zur Visualisierung der Kartiergebiete und Abfrage der dazugehörigen Informationen für externe Benutzer wurde mit dem VfS-Viewer 2 eine webbasierte Lösung geschaffen. Technische Grundlagen des VfS-Viewers Die Softwarearchitektur des VfS-Viewers ist nahezu vollständig auf Open Source Komponenten aufgebaut. Es handelt sich dabei um eine interoperative Lösung, die zum Großteil auf OGC-Standards beruht, und sich aus mehreren Softwarekomponenten zusammensetzt. So laufen auf dem Server unter einem Ubuntu Betriebssystem der Apache HTTP Webserver, OpenLayers, ExtJS, GeoExt, PHP, MapServer, TileCache und PostgreSQL/PostGIS als Bestandteile der Gesamtlösung. Das Frontend basiert auf den Open Source Komponenten OpenLayers 3 und GeoExt sowie auf der JavaScript-Bibliothek ExtJS, welche unter einer dualen Lizenz verfügbar ist 4. Banko</a></div><p class="ds-related-work--metadata ds2-5-body-xs">2011</p><p class="ds-related-work--abstract ds2-5-body-sm">Landbedeckungs-und Landnutzungsdaten (LB/LN) stellen eine wesentliche Datengrundlage für die Erfüllung zahlreicher öffentlich-rechtlicher Aufgaben dar. In addition, selected research topics related to LOD are highlighted which are currently discussed in the scientific community. Among them are new approaches to integrate Metadata in LOD, the handling of changes over time in LOD as well as the issue of diverging "truths" regarding the Universe of Discourse. Based on several application examples, the authors elaborate on the potential and challenges of LOD. Erste Ergebnisse einer Befragung im Rahmen des EISfOM-Projektes zeigen, dass bei statistischen Ämtern, Agrarministerien und auch Kontrollorganisationen z. T. umfassende Datengrundlagen vorliegen, die aber kaum harmonisiert sind und deutliche Qualitätsunterschiede aufweisen. Um die Qualität der Daten sicherzustellen, müssen eine Reihe von Qualitätssicherungsmaßnahmen wie TQM umgesetzt werden. Dabei soll unter Berücksichtigung begrenzter Ressourcen in den statistischen Ämtern eine weitgehende Harmonisierung der Daten in der erweiterten Europäischen Union erreicht werden. Damit würde der Wissenschaft die Möglichkeit gegeben diese sich z.
