therefore<MG3767> plead<MG1189a> with<MG1189a> the Lord<MG2962> of the harvest<MG2326> to send<MG1544b> out<MG1544b> laborers<MG2040> into His harvest<MG2326>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/10-3.htm"><b>3</b></a></span>Go<MG5217>; but if<MG1487> not, it will return<MG344> to you. <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/10-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>Stay<MG3306> in <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>that house<MG3614>, eating<MG2068> and drinking<MG4095> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>what they provide<MG3844>; for the laborer<MG2040> is deserving<MG514> of his wages<MG3408>. Woe<MG3759> to you, Bethsaida<MG966>! For if<MG1487> the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[g]</a></span>miracles<MG1411> that occurred<MG1096> in you had occurred<MG1096> in Tyre<MG5184> and Sidon<MG4605>, they would have repented<MG3340> long<MG3819> ago<MG3819>, sitting<MG2521> in <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[h]</a></span>sackcloth<MG4526> and ashes<MG4700>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/10-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>But it will be more<MG414> tolerable<MG414> for Tyre<MG5184> and Sidon<MG4605> in the judgment<MG2920> than<MG2228> for you. <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/10-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>And you, Capernaum<MG2746b>, will not be exalted<MG5312> to heaven<MG3772>, will you? You will be brought<MG2597> down<MG2597> to Hades<MG86>! <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/10-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>“The one who listens<MG191> to you listens<MG191> to Me, and the one who rejects<MG114> you rejects<MG114> Me; but the one who rejects<MG114> Me rejects<MG114> the One who sent<MG649> Me.” <p class="hdg">The Joyful Results</p><p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/10-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>Now<MG1161> the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[i]</a></span>seventy-two<MG1440, 1417> returned<MG5290> with joy<MG5479>, saying<MG3004>, “Lord<MG2962>, even<MG2532> the demons<MG1140> are subject<MG5293> to us <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[j]</a></span>in Your name<MG3686>!” <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/10-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>And He said<MG3004> to them, “I watched<MG2334> Satan<MG4567> fall<MG4098> from heaven<MG3772> like<MG5613> lightning<MG796>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/10-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>Behold<MG2400>, I have given<MG1325> you authority<MG1849> to walk<MG3961> on snakes<MG3789> and scorpions<MG4651>, and <i>authority</i> over<MG1909> all<MG3956> the power<MG1411> of the enemy<MG2190>, and nothing<MG3762> will injure<MG91> you. <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/10-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>Nevertheless<MG4133>, do not <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[k]</a></span>rejoice<MG5463> in this<MG3778>, that the spirits<MG4151> are subject<MG5293> to you, but rejoice<MG5463> that your names<MG3686> are recorded<MG1449> in heaven<MG3772>.” <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/10-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>At that very<MG846> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[l]</a></span>time<MG5610> He rejoiced<MG21> greatly<MG21> in the Holy<MG40> Spirit<MG4151>, and said<MG3004>, “I <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[m]</a></span>praise<MG1843> You, Father<MG3962>, Lord<MG2962> of heaven<MG3772> and earth<MG1093>, that You have hidden<MG613> these<MG3778> things<MG3778> from <i>the</i> wise<MG4680> and intelligent<MG4908> and have revealed<MG601> them to infants<MG3516>.
