when the priest<MH3548> has looked<MH7200> at him, he shall pronounce<MH2930> him unclean<MH2930>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>But if<MH518> the bright<MH934> spot<MH934> is white<MH3836> on the skin<MH5785> of his <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>body<MH1320>, and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[g]</a></span>it does not appear<MH4758> to be deeper<MH6013> than<MH4480> the skin<MH5785>, and the hair<MH8181> on it has not turned<MH2015> white<MH3836>, then the priest<MH3548> shall <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[h]</a></span>isolate<MH5462> <i>the person who has</i> the infection<MH5061> for seven<MH7651> days<MH3117>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>Then the priest<MH3548> shall look<MH7200> at him on the seventh<MH7637> day<MH3117>, and if<MH2009> in his eyes<MH5869> the infection<MH5061> has <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[i]</a></span>not<MH5973> changed<MH5975> <i>and</i> the infection<MH5061> has not spread<MH6581> on the skin<MH5785>, then the priest<MH3548> shall <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[j]</a></span>isolate<MH5462> him for seven<MH7651> more<MH8145> days<MH3117>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>The priest<MH3548> shall then look<MH7200> at him again<MH8145> on the seventh<MH7637> day<MH3117>, and if<MH2009> the infected<MH5061> area<MH5061> has faded<MH3544> and the infection<MH5061> has not spread<MH6581> on the skin<MH5785>, then the priest<MH3548> shall pronounce<MH2891> him clean<MH2891>; it is <i>only</i> a rash<MH4556>. And he shall wash<MH3526> his clothes<MH899b> and be<MH2891> clean<MH2891>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>“But if<MH518> the rash<MH4556> spreads<MH6581> farther<MH6581> on the skin<MH5785> after<MH310> he has shown<MH7200> himself to the priest<MH3548> for his cleansing<MH2893>, he shall appear<MH7200> again<MH8145> to the priest<MH3548>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>And the priest<MH3548> shall look<MH7200>, and if<MH2009> the rash<MH4556> has spread<MH6581> on the skin<MH5785>, then the priest<MH3548> shall pronounce<MH2930> him unclean<MH2930>; it is leprosy<MH6883>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>“When<MH3588> the infection<MH5061> of leprosy<MH6883> is on someone<MH120>, then he shall be brought<MH935> to the priest<MH3548>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>The priest<MH3548> shall then look<MH7200>, and if<MH2009> there is a white<MH3836> swelling<MH7613> on the skin<MH5785>, and it has turned<MH2015> the hair<MH8181> white<MH3836>, and there is new<MH4241> raw<MH2416a> flesh<MH1320> in the swelling<MH7613>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>it is <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[k]</a></span>a chronic<MH3462> leprosy<MH6883> on the skin<MH5785> of his <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[l]</a></span>body<MH1320>, and the priest<MH3548> shall pronounce<MH2930> him unclean<MH2930>; he shall not <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[m]</a></span>isolate<MH5462> him, for he is unclean<MH2931>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>If<MH518> the leprosy<MH6883> breaks<MH6524b> out<MH6524b> farther<MH6524b> on the skin<MH5785>, and the leprosy<MH6883> covers<MH3680> all<MH3605> the skin<MH5785> of <i>the person who has</i> the infection<MH5061> from his head<MH7218> even to his feet<MH7272>, <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[n]</a></span>as far<MH3605> as the priest<MH3548> can see<MH4758, 5869>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>then the priest<MH3548> shall look<MH7200>, and behold<MH2009>, <i>if</i> the leprosy<MH6883> has covered<MH3680> his entire<MH3605> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[o]</a></span>body<MH1320>, he shall pronounce<MH2891> <i>the one who has</i> the infection<MH5061> clean<MH2891>; it has all<MH3605> turned<MH2015> white<MH3836> <i>and</i> he is clean<MH2889>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>But whenever<MH3117> raw<MH2416a> flesh<MH1320> appears<MH7200> on him, he shall be<MH2930> unclean<MH2930>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>The priest<MH3548> shall look<MH7200> at the raw<MH2416a> flesh<MH1320>, and he shall pronounce<MH2930> him unclean<MH2930>; the raw<MH2416a> flesh<MH1320> is unclean<MH2931>, it is leprosy<MH6883>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>Or<MH176> if<MH3588> the raw<MH2416a> flesh<MH1320> turns<MH7725> back<MH7725> and is changed<MH2015> to white<MH3836>, then he shall come<MH935> to the priest<MH3548>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>and the priest<MH3548> shall look<MH7200> at him, and behold<MH2009>, <i>if</i> the infected<MH5061> area<MH5061> has turned<MH2015> white<MH3836>, then the priest<MH3548> shall pronounce<MH2891> <i>the one who has</i> the infection<MH5061> clean<MH2891>; he is clean<MH2889>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>“Now when<MH3588> the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[p]</a></span>body<MH1320> has<MH1961> a boil<MH7822> on its skin<MH5785> and it is healed<MH7495>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>and in the place<MH4725> of the boil<MH7822> there is a white<MH3836> swelling<MH7613> or<MH176> a reddish-white<MH125>, bright<MH934> spot<MH934>, then it shall be shown<MH7200> to the priest<MH3548>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>and the priest<MH3548> shall look<MH7200>, and behold<MH2009>, <i>if</i> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[q]</a></span>it appears<MH4758> to be deeper<MH8217> than<MH4480> the skin<MH5785>, and the hair<MH8181> on it has turned<MH2015> white<MH3836>, then the priest<MH3548> shall pronounce<MH2930> him unclean<MH2930>; it is the infection<MH5061> of leprosy<MH6883>, it has broken<MH6524b> out<MH6524b> in the boil<MH7822>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>But if<MH518> the priest<MH3548> looks<MH7200> at it, and behold<MH2009>, there<MH369> are<MH369> no<MH369> white<MH3836> hairs<MH8181> in it and it is not deeper<MH8217> than<MH4480> the skin<MH5785> and is faded<MH3544>, then the priest<MH3548> shall <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[r]</a></span>isolate<MH5462> him for seven<MH7651> days<MH3117>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>and if<MH518> it spreads<MH6581> farther<MH6581> on the skin<MH5785>, then the priest<MH3548> shall pronounce<MH2930> him unclean<MH2930>; it is an infection<MH5061>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span>But if<MH518> the bright<MH934> spot<MH934> remains<MH5975> in<MH8478> its place<MH8478> and does not spread<MH6581>, it is <i>only</i> the scar<MH6867> of the boil<MH7822>; and the priest<MH3548> shall pronounce<MH2891> him clean<MH2891>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span>“Or<MH176> if<MH3588> the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[s]</a></span>body<MH1320> sustains<MH1961> in its skin<MH5785> a burn<MH4348> by fire<MH784>, and the raw<MH4241> <i>flesh</i> of the burn<MH4348> becomes<MH1961> a bright<MH934> spot<MH934>, reddish-white<MH125>, or<MH176> white<MH3836>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span>then the priest<MH3548> shall look<MH7200> at it. And if<MH2009> the hair<MH8181> in the bright<MH934> spot<MH934> has turned<MH2015> white<MH3836> and it appears<MH4758> to be deeper<MH6013> than<MH4480> the skin<MH5785>, it is leprosy<MH6883>; it has broken<MH6524b> out<MH6524b> in the burn<MH4348>. Therefore, the priest<MH3548> shall pronounce<MH2930> him unclean<MH2930>; it is an infection<MH5061> of leprosy<MH6883>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-26.htm"><b>26</b></a></span>But if<MH518> the priest<MH3548> looks<MH7200> at it, and indeed<MH2009>, there<MH369> is<MH369> no<MH369> white<MH3836> hair<MH8181> in the bright<MH934> spot<MH934> and it is no<MH369> deeper<MH8217> than<MH4480> the skin<MH5785>, but is dim<MH3544>, then the priest<MH3548> shall <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[t]</a></span>isolate<MH5462> him for seven<MH7651> days<MH3117>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-27.htm"><b>27</b></a></span>and the priest<MH3548> shall look<MH7200> at him on the seventh<MH7637> day<MH3117>. If<MH518> it spreads<MH6581> farther<MH6581> in the skin<MH5785>, then the priest<MH3548> shall pronounce<MH2930> him unclean<MH2930>; it is an infection<MH5061> of leprosy<MH6883>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-28.htm"><b>28</b></a></span>But if<MH518> the bright<MH934> spot<MH934> remains<MH5975> in<MH8478> its place<MH8478> and has not spread<MH6581> in the skin<MH5785>, but is dim<MH3544>, it is the swelling<MH7613> from the burn<MH4348>; and the priest<MH3548> shall pronounce<MH2891> him clean<MH2891>, for it is <i>only</i> the scar<MH6867> of the burn<MH4348>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-29.htm"><b>29</b></a></span>“Now if<MH3588> a man<MH376> or<MH176> woman<MH802> has<MH1961> an infection<MH5061> on the head<MH7218> or<MH176> on the beard<MH2206>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-30.htm"><b>30</b></a></span>then the priest<MH3548> shall look<MH7200> at the infection<MH5061>, and if<MH2009> it appears<MH4758> to be deeper<MH6013> than<MH4480> the skin<MH5785> and there is thin<MH1851> yellowish<MH6669> hair<MH8181> in it, then the priest<MH3548> shall pronounce<MH2930> him unclean<MH2930>; it is a scale<MH5424>, it is leprosy<MH6883> of the head<MH7218> or<MH176> of the beard<MH2206>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-31.htm"><b>31</b></a></span>But if<MH3588> the priest<MH3548> looks<MH7200> at the infection<MH5061> of the scale<MH5424>, and indeed<MH2009>, it appears<MH4758> to be no<MH369> deeper<MH6013> than<MH4480> the skin<MH5785> and there<MH369> is<MH369> no<MH369> black<MH7838> hair<MH8181> in it, then the priest<MH3548> shall <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[u]</a></span>isolate<MH5462> <i>the person</i> with the scaly<MH5424> infection<MH5061> for seven<MH7651> days<MH3117>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-32.htm"><b>32</b></a></span>And on the seventh<MH7637> day<MH3117> the priest<MH3548> shall look<MH7200> at the infection<MH5061>, and if<MH2009> the scale<MH5424> has not spread<MH6581> and no<MH3808> yellowish<MH6669> hair<MH8181> has <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[v]</a></span>grown<MH1961> in it, and the appearance<MH4758> of the scale<MH5424> is no<MH369> deeper<MH6013> than<MH4480> the skin<MH5785>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-33.htm"><b>33</b></a></span>then he shall shave<MH1548> himself, but he shall not shave<MH1548> the scale<MH5424>; and the priest<MH3548> shall <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[w]</a></span>isolate<MH5462> <i>the person</i> with the scale<MH5424> for seven<MH7651> more<MH8145> days<MH3117>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-34.htm"><b>34</b></a></span>Then on the seventh<MH7637> day<MH3117> the priest<MH3548> shall look<MH7200> at the scale<MH5424>, and if<MH2009> the scale<MH5424> has not spread<MH6581> in the skin<MH5785> and it appears<MH4758> to be no<MH369> deeper<MH6013> than<MH4480> the skin<MH5785>, the priest<MH3548> shall pronounce<MH2891> him clean<MH2891>; and he shall wash<MH3526> his clothes<MH899b> and be<MH2891> clean<MH2891>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-35.htm"><b>35</b></a></span>But if<MH518> the scale<MH5424> spreads<MH6581> farther<MH6581> in the skin<MH5785> after<MH310> his cleansing<MH2893>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-36.htm"><b>36</b></a></span>then the priest<MH3548> shall look<MH7200> at him, and if<MH2009> the scale<MH5424> has spread<MH6581> on the skin<MH5785>, the priest<MH3548> need not look<MH1239> for the yellowish<MH6669> hair<MH8181>; he is unclean<MH2931>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-37.htm"><b>37</b></a></span>If<MH518> in his sight<MH5869> the scale<MH5424> has remained<MH5975>, however, and black<MH7838> hair<MH8181> has grown<MH6779> in it, the scale<MH5424> has healed<MH7495>, <i>and</i> he is clean<MH2889>; and the priest<MH3548> shall pronounce<MH2891> him clean<MH2891>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-38.htm"><b>38</b></a></span>“When<MH3588> a man<MH376> or<MH176> a woman<MH802> has<MH1961> bright<MH934> spots<MH934> on the skin<MH5785> of the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[x]</a></span>body<MH1320>, white<MH3836> bright<MH934> spots<MH934>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-39.htm"><b>39</b></a></span>then the priest<MH3548> shall look<MH7200>, and if<MH2009> the bright<MH934> spots<MH934> on the skin<MH5785> of their <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[y]</a></span>bodies<MH1320> are a faint<MH3544> white<MH3836>, it is <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[z]</a></span>eczema<MH933> that has broken<MH6524b> out<MH6524b> on the skin<MH5785>; he is clean<MH2889>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-40.htm"><b>40</b></a></span>“Now if<MH3588> a man<MH376> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[aa]</a></span>loses<MH4803> the hair<MH4803> of his head<MH7218>, he is <i>only</i> bald<MH7142>; he is clean<MH2889>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-41.htm"><b>41</b></a></span>And if<MH518> his head<MH7218> becomes<MH4803> bald<MH4803> at the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ab]</a></span>front<MH6440> and sides<MH6285>, he is bald<MH1371> on<MH1371> the<MH1371> forehead<MH1371>; he is clean<MH2889>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-42.htm"><b>42</b></a></span>But if<MH3588> on the bald<MH7146> head<MH7146> or<MH176> the bald<MH1372> forehead<MH1372> there occurs<MH1961> a reddish-white<MH125> infection<MH5061>, it is leprosy<MH6883> breaking<MH6524b> out<MH6524b> on his bald<MH7146> head<MH7146> or<MH176> on his bald<MH1372> forehead<MH1372>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-43.htm"><b>43</b></a></span>Then the priest<MH3548> shall look<MH7200> at him; and if<MH2009> the swelling<MH7613> of the infection<MH5061> is reddish-white<MH125> on his bald<MH7146> head<MH7146> or<MH176> on his bald<MH1372> forehead<MH1372>, like the appearance<MH4758> of leprosy<MH6883> in the skin<MH5785> of the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ac]</a></span>body<MH1320>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-44.htm"><b>44</b></a></span>he is a leprous<MH6879> man<MH376>, he is unclean<MH2931>. The priest<MH3548> must<MH2930> pronounce<MH2930> him unclean<MH2930>; his infection<MH5061> is on his head<MH7218>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-45.htm"><b>45</b></a></span>“As for the person<MH6879> who<MH834> has the leprous<MH6879> infection<MH5061>, his clothes<MH899b> shall be torn<MH6533> and <i>the hair of</i> his head<MH7218> shall be <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ad]</a></span>uncovered<MH6544a>, and he shall cover<MH5844a> his <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ae]</a></span>mustache<MH8222> and call<MH7121> out<MH7121>, ‘Unclean<MH2931>! Unclean<MH2931>!’ <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-46.htm"><b>46</b></a></span>He shall remain<MH2930> unclean<MH2930> all<MH3605> the days<MH3117> during which<MH834> he has the infection<MH5061>; he is unclean<MH2931>. He shall live<MH3427> alone<MH910>; he shall live<MH4186> outside<MH4480, 2351> the camp<MH4264>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-47.htm"><b>47</b></a></span>“When<MH3588> a garment<MH899b> has<MH1961> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[af]</a></span>a mark<MH5061> of leprosy<MH6883> in it, whether it is a wool<MH6785> garment<MH899b> or<MH176> a linen<MH6593> garment<MH899b>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-48.htm"><b>48</b></a></span>whether<MH176> in <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ag]</a></span>warp<MH8359> or<MH176> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ah]</a></span>woof<MH6154b>, of linen<MH6593> or<MH176> of wool<MH6785>, whether<MH176> in leather<MH5785> or<MH176> in any<MH3605> article<MH4399> made<MH4399> of leather<MH5785>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-49.htm"><b>49</b></a></span>if the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ai]</a></span>mark<MH5061> is greenish<MH3422> or<MH176> reddish<MH125> in the garment<MH899b> or<MH176> in the leather<MH5785>, whether<MH176> in the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[aj]</a></span>warp<MH8359> or<MH176> in the woof<MH6154b>, or<MH176> in any<MH3605> article<MH3627> of leather<MH5785>, it is a leprous<MH6883> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ak]</a></span>mark<MH5061> and it shall be shown<MH7200> to the priest<MH3548>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-50.htm"><b>50</b></a></span>Then the priest<MH3548> shall look<MH7200> at the mark<MH5061> and shall <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[al]</a></span>quarantine<MH5462> the article with the mark<MH5061> for seven<MH7651> days<MH3117>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-51.htm"><b>51</b></a></span>He shall then look<MH7200> at the mark<MH5061> on the seventh<MH7637> day<MH3117>; if<MH3588> the mark<MH5061> has spread<MH6581> in the garment<MH899b>, whether<MH176> in the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[am]</a></span>warp<MH8359> or<MH176> in the woof<MH6154b>, or<MH176> in the leather<MH5785>, whatever<MH834, 3605> the purpose<MH4399> for which<MH834> the leather<MH5785> is used<MH6213a>, the mark<MH5061> is a <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[an]</a></span>leprous<MH6883> malignancy<MH3992>, it is unclean<MH2931>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-52.htm"><b>52</b></a></span>So he shall burn<MH8313> the garment<MH899b>, whether<MH176> <i>it is</i> the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ao]</a></span>warp<MH8359> or<MH176> the woof<MH6154b>, in wool<MH6785> or<MH176> in linen<MH6593>, or<MH176> any<MH3605> article<MH3627> of leather<MH5785>, in which<MH834> the mark<MH5061> occurs<MH1961>; for it is a <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ap]</a></span>leprous<MH6883> malignancy<MH3992>. It shall be burned<MH8313> in the fire<MH784>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-53.htm"><b>53</b></a></span>“But if<MH518> the priest<MH3548> looks<MH7200>, and indeed<MH2009> the mark<MH5061> has not spread<MH6581> in the garment<MH899b>, either<MH176> in the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[aq]</a></span>warp<MH8359> or<MH176> in the woof<MH6154b>, or<MH176> in any<MH3605> article<MH3627> of leather<MH5785>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-54.htm"><b>54</b></a></span>then the priest<MH3548> shall order<MH6680> them to wash<MH3526> the thing in which<MH834> the mark<MH5061> occurs, and he shall <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ar]</a></span>quarantine<MH5462> it for seven<MH7651> more<MH8145> days<MH3117>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-55.htm"><b>55</b></a></span>After<MH310> the article with the mark<MH5061> has been washed<MH3526>, the priest<MH3548> shall again<MH310> look<MH7200>, and if<MH2009> the mark<MH5061> has not changed<MH2015> its appearance<MH5869>, even <i>if</i> the mark<MH5061> has not spread<MH6581>, it is unclean<MH2931>; you shall burn<MH8313> it in the fire<MH784>, whether an eating<MH6356> away<MH6356> has produced bareness<MH7146, 1372> on<MH7146> the<MH7146> back<MH7146> or<MH176> on<MH1372> the<MH1372> front<MH1372> of it. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-56.htm"><b>56</b></a></span>“But if<MH518> the priest<MH3548> looks<MH7200>, and indeed<MH2009> the mark<MH5061> has faded<MH3544> after<MH310> it has been washed<MH3526>, then he shall tear<MH7167> it out<MH7167> of the garment<MH899b> or<MH176> out of the leather<MH5785>, whether<MH176> from the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[as]</a></span>warp<MH8359> or<MH176> from the woof<MH6154b>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/13-57.htm"><b>57</b></a></span>yet if<MH518> it appears<MH7200> again<MH5750> in the garment<MH899b>, whether<MH176> in the warp<MH8359> or<MH176> in the woof<MH6154b>, or<MH176> in any<MH3605> article<MH3627> of leather<MH5785>, it is an outbreak<MH6524b>; the article with the mark<MH5061> shall be burned<MH8313> in the fire<MH784>.
