KMathF Plenarversammlung, 20. 5. 2000, Dresden</i><p> This list was derived from the <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20090118153703/http://www.ams.org/membership/journal-survey.html">AMS survey</a> [<a href="./journal-survey.pdf">local copy</a>] for the past years (1994-2008). Only the US $ prices from the AMS table are considered. It is ordered under several different aspects. <p> The <b>Average Annual Increase Factors</b> <!--, however, were computed in local currencies as given by the publishers. They--> were computed over those years for which price and page information was available from the AMS source. The number in parentheses gives the number of years the average is taken on. <p> <b> Hence a figure like 1.17(6) says that there was an increase of 17 percent on average <b> each year </b> during the past six years. This is, the overall increase factor in that case is 1.17^6 = 2.57, e.g., prices have more than doubled within the last 6 years. <p> The table below shows that there are now 91 journals selling for $1/page and more - compared to 78 in the preceding table based on the 2007 data. On the other hand, there are many journals of highest scientific quality which sell for $0.15 /page and less. </b> <p> The columns "Pages", "Price/Vol", "Price/Page" all refer to the year 2007 (or, in some cases, to the most recent year for which data are available). Values for earlier years can be obtained from the <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20090118153703/http://www.ams.org/membership/journal-survey.html"> original AMS table</a>.
