Hohmuth </p> </figcaption> </figure> <header> <h1 class="exclude-from-search"> Cooperations and Partners </h1> <p>The Federal Archives is associated with many cultural institutions from Germany and abroad through close mutual exchange, joint projects or formal cooperation.</p> </header> </div> </div>   <div class="article-content is-narrow"> <p>The central forum for coordination with the state archives of the federal states is the KLA, which meets twice a year. However, the Federal Archives also maintain close professional relations with numerous other institutions. With some partners, cooperation agreements have been signed, setting out common objectives and the partners' respective rights and obligations. One contribution of the Federal Archives within such cooperations may be to waive fees for the provision of federal archival material. As part of such cooperation, the Federal Archives might waive fees for releasing federal archive records. In return, however, the Federal Archives would have to receive a noticeable benefit from the cooperation and be able to achieve goals that would otherwise not be possible were the partner not involved.
