reflect its motto of “Small Town, Big Life.” The goal of redesigning their website was to highlight community features while also improving customer service for residents and visitors.</p> <p>The old Ketchum website featured an outdated design and did not adequately highlight the “big life” their small town offers. Besides, a lack of stunning visuals, relevant features, and device responsiveness made it difficult for residents visiting the site to navigate and engage. Operationally, the site also didn’t integrate with the city’s meeting software creating headaches and challenging workflow for city staff. Ketchum, Idaho decided to use Municode Website Design to address these challenges. </p> <p>With a focus on user-centered design, Ketchum delivered a gorgeous website to its residents. The homepage greets visitors with a stunning photo of the town and its surroundings, with the city’s motto prominently featured. The homepage also drastically improved navigation, making key links prominent and easy to find. Ketchum employed a local artist to design their icons. For example, based on usage data and user feedback, the city’s key links include business and staff directories, email subscriptions, parks, projects, ordinances/resolutions, and property listings. The site is fully responsive on any mobile device and is ADA compliant.
