href="/parallel/leviticus/16-1.htm#aramaic"><b>1</b></a></span>And LORD JEHOVAH spoke with Moshe after both the sons of Ahron died, when they offered alien fire before LORD JEHOVAH, and they died; <A name="3"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-2.htm#aramaic"><b>2</b></a></span>And LORD JEHOVAH said to Moshe: “Speak with Ahron your brother that he shall not be always entering holiness within the face of the door before the mercy seat of the Ark, that he would not die because I appear in the cloud on the mercy seat. <A name="4"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-3.htm#aramaic"><b>3</b></a></span>But with this Ahron shall be entering into holiness: with a bull, son of an ox for sin, and a ram for a burnt peace offering. <A name="5"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-4.htm#aramaic"><b>4</b></a></span>And he will wear a coat of fine white linen of holiness and a garment of fine white linen shall be on his flesh and he shall be girded with a girdle of fine white linen, and he shall put a turban of fine white linen on his head, because the clothes are of holiness, and he shall wash his body in water and shall put them on. <A name="6"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-5.htm#aramaic"><b>5</b></a></span>And from the assembly of the children of Israel, take two kids of goats for sin and one ram for a burnt offering. <A name="7"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-6.htm#aramaic"><b>6</b></a></span>And Ahron shall bring for himself a bullock of his sin and he shall atone for his soul and for his household. <A name="8"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-7.htm#aramaic"><b>7</b></a></span>And he shall take two kids and he shall place them alive before LORD JEHOVAH at the door of the Time Tent. <A name="9"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-8.htm#aramaic"><b>8</b></a></span>And Ahron shall cast lots for both kids; one lot for LORD JEHOVAH and one lot for Azazayel. <A name="10"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-9.htm#aramaic"><b>9</b></a></span>And Ahron shall bring the kid upon which fell the lot of LORD JEHOVAH and he shall make it for sin. <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-10.htm#aramaic"><b>10</b></a></span>And the kid upon which fell the lot of Azazayel shall stand alive before LORD JEHOVAH to atone for him and he shall send it to join Azazayel in the wilderness.<p> <A name="12"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-11.htm#aramaic"><b>11</b></a></span>And Ahron shall bring a bullock of the sin of his soul and shall atone for his soul and for his house and he shall kill the bull of sin: <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-12.htm#aramaic"><b>12</b></a></span>And he shall take a censer full of coals of fire from the altar that is before LORD JEHOVAH and his handfuls of incense of sweet precious spice and he shall enter within the face of the door: <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-13.htm#aramaic"><b>13</b></a></span>And he shall put incense on the fire in the presence of LORD JEHOVAH and the cloud of incense shall cover the Mercy Seat above the Testimony and he shall not die: <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-14.htm#aramaic"><b>14</b></a></span>And he shall take from the blood of the bullock and shall sprinkle with his finger before the face of the Mercy Seat from the east, and before the Mercy Seat he shall sprinkle seven times from the blood with his finger.<p> <A name="16"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-15.htm#aramaic"><b>15</b></a></span>And he shall slaughter the kid of the sin of the people and he shall bring in its blood within the face of the door and he shall do with the blood as he did with the blood of the ox, and shall sprinkle it on the Mercy Seat and before the Mercy Seat: <A name="17"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-16.htm#aramaic"><b>16</b></a></span>And he shall make atonement for the holy place from the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and from their evil and from all of their sins, and thus he shall do for the Time Tent that remains with them in their uncleanness. <A name="18"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-17.htm#aramaic"><b>17</b></a></span>And no man shall be in the Time Tent whenever he enters to atone in Holiness, until he will exit, and he shall atone for his soul and for his house and he shall atone for all the assembly of the children of Israel. <A name="19"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-18.htm#aramaic"><b>18</b></a></span>And he shall go out to the altar that is before LORD JEHOVAH and shall atone for it and he shall take from the blood of the ox and from the blood of the kid and shall sprinkle it on the horns of the altar as a circle. <A name="20"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-19.htm#aramaic"><b>19</b></a></span>And he shall sprinkle upon it of the blood with his finger seven times and he shall purify it and he shall hallow it from the defilement of the children of Israel.<p> <A name="21"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-20.htm#aramaic"><b>20</b></a></span>And whenever he has finished making atonement for the Holy Place and for the Time Tent and for the altar, he shall bring the living kid: <A name="22"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-21.htm#aramaic"><b>21</b></a></span>And Ahron shall put both his hands on the head of the living kid and shall confess over it all the stupidity of the children of Israel and all their evil and all their sins and he shall put them on the head of the kid and he shall send it to the wilderness by the hand of a man who is prepared: <A name="23"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-22.htm#aramaic"><b>22</b></a></span>And the kid shall bear on him all their evil to a barren land and he shall leave the kid in the wilderness.<p> <A name="24"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-23.htm#aramaic"><b>23</b></a></span>And Ahron will enter the Time Tent: <A name="25"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-24.htm#aramaic"><b>24</b></a></span>And he shall wash his flesh in water in the holy place and shall put on his garments and he will go out and shall bring his burnt peace offering and a burnt peace offering of the people and he shall atone for himself and for the people. <A name="26"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-25.htm#aramaic"><b>25</b></a></span>And the fat of the sin offering he shall offer up on the altar. <A name="27"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-26.htm#aramaic"><b>26</b></a></span>And he who sends the kid to Azazayel shall wash his garments and shall bathe in water and after that shall enter the encampment. <A name="28"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-27.htm#aramaic"><b>27</b></a></span>And the bullock of sin and the kid of sin whose blood he brought into atone in the holy place they shall take outside of the camp and they shall burn their skins and their flesh and their dung in fire. <A name="29"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-28.htm#aramaic"><b>28</b></a></span>And he who burns them shall wash his garments and shall bathe his body in water and then shall enter the encampment.<p> <A name="30"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-29.htm#aramaic"><b>29</b></a></span>And the Written Law will be yours to eternity; in the seventh month on the tenth of the month, humble your souls and you will do no work, you and those who are converted to me who dwell among you: <A name="31"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-30.htm#aramaic"><b>30</b></a></span>Because in this day atonement shall be made for you that you will be cleansed; from all of your sins before LORD JEHOVAH you shall be cleansed. <A name="32"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-31.htm#aramaic"><b>31</b></a></span>A rest and tranquility are yours, and humble your souls: the Written Law to eternity. <A name="33"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-32.htm#aramaic"><b>32</b></a></span>And the Priest who is anointed and who consecrated his hands to serve after his father shall atone, and he shall put on clothing of fine white linen and garments of holiness: <A name="34"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-33.htm#aramaic"><b>33</b></a></span>And shall atone for Holy of Holy things and for the Time Tent and he shall atone for the altar and for the Priest and he shall atone for all the people of the assembly. <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/leviticus/16-34.htm#aramaic"><b>34</b></a></span>And this will be the Written Law to you for eternity, that atonement will
