Why have you done so? <A name="4"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/2-3.htm#aramaic"><b>3</b></a></span>Also thus I have said that I shall not destroy them from before you, and they shall be poverty to you, and their gods shall be a stumbling block to you” <A name="5"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/2-4.htm#aramaic"><b>4</b></a></span>And when The Angel of LORD JEHOVAH said all these words to Israel, all the people lifted up their voice and wept <A name="6"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/2-5.htm#aramaic"><b>5</b></a></span>And the people called the name of that country Bakyan”Weeping”, and they sacrificed there to LORD JEHOVAH<p> <A name="7"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/2-6.htm#aramaic"><b>6</b></a></span>And Yeshua sent the people and the children of Israel went, each man to his inheritance, to inherit the land <A name="8"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/2-7.htm#aramaic"><b>7</b></a></span>And the people worked for LORD JEHOVAH all the days of Yeshua and all the days of the Elders who were long after Yeshua, and they saw all the works of LORD JEHOVAH and the great things that he did for Israel <A name="9"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/2-8.htm#aramaic"><b>8</b></a></span>And Yeshua, son of Nun, the Servant of LORD JEHOVAH, died, son of a hundred and ten years <A name="10"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/2-9.htm#aramaic"><b>9</b></a></span>And they buried him at the boundary of his inheritance in TimnathSerakh in the Mount of Aphrim at the north side of the Mountain of Gaash <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/2-10.htm#aramaic"><b>10</b></a></span>Also all that generation were gathered to their fathers, and another generation arose after them that did not know LORD JEHOVAH, neither his works that he did for Israel<p> <A name="12"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/2-11.htm#aramaic"><b>11</b></a></span>And the children of Israel did what is evil before LORD JEHOVAH, and they served Baal <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/2-12.htm#aramaic"><b>12</b></a></span>And they left LORD JEHOVAH, God of their fathers, who brought them out from the land of Egypt, and they went after other gods of the Gentiles who were in their surroundings, and they bowed to them and they angered LORD JEHOVAH <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/2-13.htm#aramaic"><b>13</b></a></span>And they left LORD JEHOVAH and they served Baal and Astharatha <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/2-14.htm#aramaic"><b>14</b></a></span>And LORD JEHOVAH was provoked against Israel, and he delivered them into the hand of plunderers, and they plundered them, and he delivered them into the hand of their enemies who were in their surroundings, and they could no more stand before their enemies <A name="16"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/2-15.htm#aramaic"><b>15</b></a></span>And wherever they were going out, the hand of LORD JEHOVAH was upon them for evil as LORD JEHOVAH had said, and as LORD JEHOVAH had sworn to them, and it was very distressing to them<p> <A name="17"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/2-16.htm#aramaic"><b>16</b></a></span>And LORD JEHOVAH raised up Judges among Israel, and they delivered them from the hand of their plunderers <A name="18"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/2-17.htm#aramaic"><b>17</b></a></span>Also their Judges did not listen, for they strayed after other gods, and they bowed to them and they turned aside quickly from the way in which their fathers went to hear the commandments of LORD JEHOVAH, and they did not so <A name="19"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/judges/2-18.htm#aramaic"><b>18</b></a></span>And when LORD JEHOVAH raised up Judges, LORD JEHOVAH was with the Judges and he saved them from the hand of their enemies all the days of the Judges.
