MedLIFE-24 aims to deliver a diverse and integrative scientific program covering all aspects of life science. This includes the technical study of living organisms, such as cell biology, individual organism biology, and how these organisms interact with other species and their surroundings. Although biology remains the core focus of the life sciences, technological advances in molecular biology and biotechnology have resulted in the emergence of new specialties and cross-disciplinary areas. </p> <p> The life sciences have been used in the health, medicine, and pharmaceutical industries to improve people's quality of life. In this context, MedLIFE-24 seeks to highlight the synergies and links that exist between different life science segments and the <a href="https://sdgs.un.org/goals" target="_blank">UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)</a>. SDG 3, "ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being," is one of the 17 goals and targets that is especially pertinent to life science. It stands for the core of sustainable efforts in the field. </p> <p> Within this framework, the scientific committee of the MedLIFE-24 invites submissions of research abstracts on all cross-cutting themes of life sciences, with a main focus on the following conference tracks: </p> <div class="richtext richtext-default"> <ol> <li> <strong>Agricultural Biology</strong> (Crop science, soil fertility, and pest management in agricultural ecosystems). </li> <li> <strong>Astrobiology</strong> (Exploration of life's origin, evolution, and distribution in the universe, including potential extraterrestrial life). </li> <li> <strong>Bacteriology</strong> (Study of bacteria, covering biology, genetics, ecological roles, and interactions with humans, animals, and the environment). </li> <li> <strong>Biotechnology</strong> (Utilizing biological systems or derivatives to develop products and technologies for diverse industries like healthcare, agriculture, and manufacturing). </li> <li> <strong>Biochemistry</strong> (Chemical processes within living organisms, emphasizing molecular mechanisms and metabolic pathways). </li> <li> <strong>Bioinformatics & Biological Data Science</strong> (Utilizing biology, computer science, and statistics to analyze large-scale biological datasets, like genomic sequences and protein structures). </li> <li> <strong>Biolinguistics</strong> (Studying genetics, neurobiology, and cognition's influence on language acquisition and evolution). </li> <li> <strong>Biological Anthropology</strong> (The biological and behavioral aspects of human evolution and variation, including genetics, primatology, and paleoanthropology). </li> <li> <strong>Biological & Biomedical Engineering</strong> (Applying engineering principles to innovate solutions in healthcare and medical technology). </li> <li> <strong>Biological Oceanography</strong> (Studying marine life, ecosystems, and processes in oceans, including biodiversity, nutrient cycling, and climate change impacts). </li> <li> <strong>Biomechanics</strong> (Exploring the mechanics of living organisms' movement and structure, applicable in sports science, rehabilitation, and biomechanical engineering). </li> <li> <strong>Biophysics</strong> (Studying physical principles in biology including molecular interactions, cellular mechanics, and biomolecular structure). </li> <li> <strong>Biosustainability</strong> (Advocating sustainable practices across agriculture, industry, and society to uphold biodiversity, ecosystem health, and human well-being). </li> <li> <strong>Botany</strong> (Plants structure, function, classification, and ecological roles, with applications in agriculture, forestry, and conservation biology). </li> <li> <strong>Cancer Biology & Oncology</strong> (Studying cancer cell biology, tumor development, and molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, with emphasis on diagnosis, treatment, and prevention strategies). </li> <li> <strong> Cell Biology</strong> (The structure, function, and behavior of cells, including cellular processes such as cell division, signaling, and organelle function). </li> <li> <strong> Circular Bioeconomy</strong> (Encouraging sustainable resource management and recycling to create a circular economy, minimizing environmental impact while maximizing resource efficiency). </li> <li> <strong>Ecology & Environmental Biology</strong> (Studying organism-environment interactions, emphasizing ecosystems, biodiversity, conservation, and human impacts on natural systems). </li> <li> aquatic ecosystems and industries). </li> <li> <strong>Physiology</strong> (Studying the functions and mechanisms of living organisms and their parts, including organ systems, cellular physiology, and adaptations to environmental conditions). </li> <li> <strong>Population Biology</strong> (Population dynamics, encompassing growth, distribution, and interactions, which are crucial in conservation biology and ecology). </li> <li> <strong>Quantum Biology</strong> (Studying coherence, entanglement, and tunneling phenomena in biological systems, particularly shedding light on their intricate processes). </li> <li> <strong>Reproductive Sciences</strong> (Exploring reproductive physiology, fertility, and health in humans and other species, covering gametogenesis, fertilization, and reproductive technologies). </li> <li> <strong>Structural Biology</strong> (Analyzing the 3D structure of biological macromolecules, such as proteins and nucleic acids, through methods like X-ray
