(Tamir Kalifa for The Texas Tribune)</div> </div> <h2>The Big Conversation</h2> <p>With same-sex marriage now legalized, the next legal fight could be whether government employees have the freedom to refuse to marry same-sex couples — and the issue won't be solved quickly, legal experts say.</p> <p>Attorney General <strong>Ken Paxton</strong> made his stance on the issue clear, saying government employees could refuse to issue same-sex marriage licenses if they have religious objections.
