Videos that have been presented at a meeting are eligible to be submitted to FG.

Videos may be submitted into one of the following categories for consideration:
• Artificial intelligence in endoscopy
• Educational endoscopy
• Endoscopic complications
• Hepatobiliary endoscopy (inc. endoscopic ultrasound)
• Lower gastrointestinal endoscopy
• Metabolic & bariatric endoscopy
• Other
• Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy: stomach and small bowel
• Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy; oesophagus

All video articles are subject to peer review.

Authors are required to use the Frontline Gastroenterology template for their video article submission.

Please refer to the following resources in the development of your submission:

Author instructions

Slide template

Example submission

How to narrate your video article

Audio transcript example","Required format

All submissions are required to use the video article template.

Title: submission title, corresponding authors’ name and institution, and high-resolution still image of the case or educational topic

Authors: up to 6

Disclosures: funding and conflicts of interests statements

Background: provide a brief background to the video

Methods: provide an oversight of the endoscopic technique being used (as needed)

Case presentation: brief instruction to the case

Equipment: provide the equipment used within the video

Endoscopy video: up to 8 minutes in length; up to 500 MB in file size; acceptable video formats include .mov, .mpg, .avi, or .mp4

Outcomes: up to 5 case outcomes and/or key learning points

Conclusion: conclusion and acknowledgements

Accompanying documentation

Title page: this should include the title, authors, institutions, video length, video size, and file type
Summary: up to 500 words, unstructured, followed by references
References: up to 5
Images: 1-2 (high resolution – over 300 DPI or PPI), each with a short figure legend
Audio transcript

A signed BMJ patient consent form is required for all video articles.

Video specifications

A video article must feature a video of the subject of interest (i.e., endoscopy procedure) lasting 3 to 6 minutes and not exceeding 500 MB in size.
