The bustling nature of living and studying in the city offers unique challenges. </p> <p>Rest assured that both the <a href="https://drexel.edu/publicsafety/policing-security/overview/">Drexel University Police Department</a> and <a href="https://drexel.edu/publicsafety/communications-operations/dispatch/">Drexel Public Safety (DPS) Communications Center</a> coordinate closely with the Philadelphia Police Department, Penn Police, and other local law enforcement agencies to keep our community safe, and are fully accredited by the international Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). In addition to our police and DPS dispatchers, Drexel contracts with Allied Universal Security Services, the largest private security provider in the United States, to provide security officers who patrol our campuses via foot, bicycle, and vehicle, and provide walking escorts. Its effectiveness depends on Drexel having your correct contact information.
