(CR) / Sustainability management, reporting, performance, and strategy development. He has worked extensively with organisations to assess and design CR-related strategy and governance, materiality assessment processes, create stakeholder engagement strategies and implementation plans, facilitate stakeholder engagement activities, and develop assurance, management and reporting systems.</p> <p>As companies invest increasing resources into non-financial issues and topics, David supports his clients to effectively allocate these resources, to optimize strategic management decision making and to ensure effective performance management through to tangible impact measurement.</p> <p>David leads the technical content on Materiality, Stakeholder Engagement and Impact for the revision of the AA1000 Series of Standards. He ensures that the wealth of experience gathered over the last two decades in terms of advisory services and research in these areas at AccountAbility is accurately reflected in the updated content of the Standards.</p> <p>Prior to joining AccountAbility, David spent 14 years with the Sustainability & Climate Change, Governance, Risk and Compliance team at PricewaterhouseCoopers.</p> </div> </div>  <div style="display:none;"> <div id="browne" style="text-align:left;"> <img style="float:left; margin-right:30px; margin-bottom:30px; width:250px;" src="/sites/uia.org/files/roundtable/europe2018/Deryck_photo_1.jpeg" /> <p style="font-size: 1.4em; text-align:left;">Deryck Browne</p> <p>Deryck Browne is the Chief Executive of the African Health Policy Network, a national association of small community based health organisations and individuals working on issues concerning migrant health, well-being and welfare in the UK.</p> <p>Before working in the migrant health field he was working in forensic psychology where he released several publications.</p> <p>Issues of equality and diversity have always been at the centre of his work and he was recently invited by the UK Upper Parliamentary Chamber (The House of Lords) to assist with one of their special Committees working on migrant mental health issues.</p> <p>He lives in London with his wife and three children. He is a researcher, lecturer and consultant for CRAterre (the International Center for Earth Construction) at the AE&CC research unit (ENSAG) where he is co-chairing the Habitat research programme.</p> <p>He dedicated most of his career since 1990 to experimental research, work and project development abroad in the field of “development” with CRAterre where the local building cultures concept was developed. This approach considers the importance of cultures in the production and management of built environment and how culture is an asset where future, sustainability, vulnerabilities and resilience are considered. He is in charge of several partnership development in relation with countries of operation or institutional network.</p> <p>He teaches at the “earthen architecture, sustainable development and building cultures” Post-Master (DSA - Architecture de terre) as well as at Master level at the National School of Architecture but he also contributes to the ICUP Master Mundus Urbano (Erasmus+) “International Cooperation in Urban Planning” at Town Planning Institute of Grenoble (UGA-IUG).</p> <p>He has developed specific expertise on sustainable housing and disaster risk reduction through projects and collaborations with various countries: Morocco, Indonesia, Iran, Nepal, Peru, Haiti, South Africa, Nigeria, etc. and conducted several consultancy work and expertise for UNESCO, UN-Habitat, EU, GCI, Caritas, ANR, AFD and also several French ministries.</p> <p>He is a member of the French Partnership for City and Territories (PFVT) and of several other platforms and committees (« Housing and Slum Upgrading Branch” expert committee, Sherpa tool/GSHN, AFPCN, <a href="mailto:Risk@Univ">Risk@Univ</a>.
