I already pay a few cents per gallon of gas to use roads...why should I pay more? The wusses in the state legislature are so deathly afraid of the Tea Party that they can't even raise the gasoline tax one red cent. The last time the gasoline tax was increased was back in 1991. People who complain and say it's a double tax clearly don't understand tolling or taxes. Foreign companies don't own all the toll roads in Texas - that's absurd...and the reason the legislature doesn't undo tolling is because doing so would mean absolute bankruptcy for the state.
