located on the corner of Bergen Street, in Ocean Hill. Dubbed Bergen Saratoga Apartments, it measures 74,614 square feet. It will feature 40 one- and two-bedroom apartments that will rent at below-market rates through the affordable housing lottery, in addition to 40 studio apartments that will be occupied by formerly homeless people. CAMBA will also supply social services for the building’s residents. Amenities include a library with a computer room, an outdoor recreational space with a playground, a community room with a kitchen, laundry facilities, storage for 40 bikes, and 15 off-street parking spaces. Dunn Development Corp. and the city’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HDP) are the developers, while SLCE Architects is behind the design. Now, construction has entirely wrapped up. Dubbed the Brooklyn-Roosevelt, leasing is underway for some of its studios and one-bedrooms, <a href="http://ny.curbed.com/2016/5/23/11746066/roosevelt-savings-bank-apartments-brooklyn-nyc" target="_blank">Curbed NY reported</a>. The units, averaging 699 square feet apiece, are rental apartments, and amenities include a café, a fitness center, laundry facilities, bike storage, a lounge/club, a yoga room, a 12-seat movie theater, and on-site parking. The new buildings will measure 6,201 and 3,205 square feet each, respectively, and the larger building will feature 1,240 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. Across both buildings, there will be 6,124 square feet of residential space, which means the apartments should average a spacious 1,225 square feet apiece. The units could be new-construction family-sized condominiums, which would be unprecedented in this part of Brooklyn for this building cycle. Douglas Pulaski’s Brooklyn-based Bricolage Designs is the architect of record. The buildings were filed with the Department of Buildings last October, and will measure 4,380 and 4,500 square feet each, respectively. That means units will average 1,110 square feet across both structures. All of the units will be sold at below-market rates to households making between 50 to 80 percent of the area median income (AMI). David Cunningham Architecture Planning is the architect of record.
