<t>I will use<MH3615> up<MH3615> My arrows<MH2671> on them. <poetry><a href="/deuteronomy/32-24.htm">24</a>‘They will be wasted<MH4198> by famine<MH7458>, and emaciated<MH3898b> by <a href="#fn">[k]</a>plague<MH7565> <t>And a bitter<MH4815> epidemic<MH6986>; <t>And the teeth<MH8127> of beasts<MH929> I will send<MH7971> against them, <t>With the venom<MH2534> of crawling<MH2119a> things<MH2119a> of the dust<MH6083>. <poetry><a href="/deuteronomy/32-25.htm">25</a>‘Outside<MH4480, 2351> the sword<MH2719> will make<MH7921> them childless<MH7921>, <t>And inside<MH4480, 2315>, terror<MH367>— <t>Both<MH1571> young<MH970> man<MH970> and virgin<MH1330>, <t>The nursing<MH3243> child<MH3243> with the man<MH376> of gray<MH7872> hair<MH7872>. <poetry><a href="/deuteronomy/32-26.htm">26</a>‘I would have said<MH559>, “I will wipe<MH6284> them out<MH6284>, <t>I will remove<MH7673a> the mention<MH2143> of <a href="#fn">[l]</a>their name from humanity<MH582>,” <poetry><a href="/deuteronomy/32-27.htm">27</a>Had I not feared<MH1481c> the provocation<MH3708a> by the enemy<MH340>, <t>That their adversaries<MH6862c> would misjudge<MH5235a>, <t>That they would say<MH559>, “Our hand<MH3027> is<MH7311> <a href="#fn">[m]</a>triumphant<MH7311>, <t>And the LORD<MH3068> has not performed<MH6466> all<MH3605> this<MH2088>.”’ <poetry><a href="/deuteronomy/32-28.htm">28</a>“For they are a nation<MH1471> <a href="#fn">[n]</a>destitute<MH6> of counsel<MH6098>, <t>And there<MH369> is<MH369> no<MH369> understanding<MH8394> in them. <poetry><a href="/deuteronomy/32-29.htm">29</a>“If<MH3863> only<MH3863> they were<MH2449> wise<MH2449> and they understood<MH7919a> this<MH2088>; <t>If only they would discern<MH995> their <a href="#fn">[o]</a>future<MH319>! <poetry><a href="/deuteronomy/32-30.htm">30</a>“How<MH351a> could one<MH259> chase<MH7291> a thousand<MH505>, <t>And two<MH8147> put<MH5127> ten<MH7233> thousand<MH7233> to<MH5127> flight<MH5127>, <t>Unless<MH518, 3808, 3588> their Rock<MH6697> had sold<MH4376> them, <t>And the LORD<MH3068> had given<MH5462> them up<MH5462>? <poetry><a href="/deuteronomy/32-31.htm">31</a>“Indeed<MH3588>, their rock<MH6697> is not like our Rock<MH6697>; <t>Even our enemies<MH340> <a href="#fn">[p]</a>themselves judge<MH6414> this. <poetry><a href="/deuteronomy/32-32.htm">32</a>“For their vine<MH1612> is from the vine<MH1612> of Sodom<MH5467>, <t>And from the fields<MH7709> of Gomorrah<MH6017>; <t>Their grapes<MH6025> are grapes<MH6025> of poison<MH7219>, <t>Their clusters<MH811>, bitter<MH4846>. <poetry><a href="/deuteronomy/32-33.htm">33</a>“Their wine<MH3196> is the venom<MH2534> of <a href="#fn">[q]</a>serpents<MH8577>, <t>And the <a href="#fn">[r]</a>deadly<MH393> poison<MH7219> of vipers<MH6620>. <poetry><a href="/deuteronomy/32-34.htm">34</a>‘Is it not stored<MH3647> up<MH3647> with Me, <t>Sealed<MH2856> up<MH2856> in My treasuries<MH214>? <poetry><a href="/deuteronomy/32-35.htm">35</a>‘Vengeance<MH5359> is Mine, and retribution<MH8005>; <t>In due time<MH6256> their foot<MH7272> will slip<MH4131>. <t>For the day<MH3117> of their disaster<MH343> is near<MH7138>, <t>And the impending<MH6264> things<MH6264> are hurrying<MH2363a> to them.’ <poetry><a href="/deuteronomy/32-36.htm">36</a>“For the LORD<MH3068> will vindicate<MH1777> His people<MH5971a>, <t>And will have<MH5162> compassion<MH5162> on His servants<MH5650>, <t>When<MH3588> He sees<MH7200> that their <a href="#fn">[s]</a>strength<MH3027> is<MH235> gone<MH235>, <t>And there<MH657> is<MH657> none<MH657> remaining, bond<MH6113> or free<MH5800a>. <poetry><a href="/deuteronomy/32-37.htm">37</a>“And He will say<MH559>, ‘Where<MH335> are their gods<MH430>, <t>The rock<MH6697> in which they took<MH2620> refuge<MH2620>? <poetry><a href="/deuteronomy/32-38.htm">38</a>‘Those who<MH834> ate<MH398> the fat<MH2459> of their sacrifices<MH2077>, <t>And drank<MH8354> the wine<MH3196> of their drink<MH5257a> offering<MH5257a>? <t>Let them rise<MH6965> up<MH6965> and help<MH5826> you, <t>Let them be your protection<MH5643b>! <poetry><a href="/deuteronomy/32-39.htm">39</a>‘See<MH7200> now<MH6258> that I, I am He, <t>And there<MH369> is<MH369> no<MH369> god<MH430> besides<MH5973> Me; <t>For He will avenge<MH5358> the blood<MH1818> of His servants<MH5650>, <t>And will return<MH7725> vengeance<MH5359> on His adversaries<MH6862c>, <t>And will atone<MH3722a> for His land<MH127> and His people<MH5971a>.” <a href="/deuteronomy/32-44.htm">44</a>Then Moses<MH4872> came<MH935> and spoke<MH1696> all<MH3605> the words<MH1697> of this<MH2088> song<MH7892b> in the hearing<MH241> of the people<MH5971a>, he, with <a href="#fn">[v]</a>Joshua<MH1954> the son<MH1121> of Nun<MH5126>. <a href="/deuteronomy/32-45.htm">45</a>When Moses<MH4872> had finished<MH3615> speaking<MH1696> all<MH3605> these<MH428> words<MH1697> to all<MH3605> Israel<MH3478>, <a href="/deuteronomy/32-46.htm">46</a>he said<MH559> to them, “Take<MH7760> to your heart<MH3824> all<MH3605> the words<MH1697> with which<MH834> I am warning<MH5749b> you today<MH3117>, which<MH834> you will command<MH6680> your sons<MH1121> to <a href="#fn">[w]</a>follow<MH6213a> carefully<MH8104>, all<MH3605> the words<MH1697> of this<MH2088> Law<MH8451>. <a href="/deuteronomy/32-47.htm">47</a>For it is not a <a href="#fn">[x]</a>trivial<MH7386> matter<MH1697> for you; indeed<MH3588> it is your life<MH2425b>.
