While these organizations are significant, there is a much broader landscape of operational institutions that contribute to the day-to-day operations, security, and stability of the Internet’s infrastructure, what is referred to here as the operational institutional complex. In this talk, Jesse will present the important role of these operational institutions through the lens of data governance, highlighting the formal and informal information, data, and knowledge sharing relationships at play in day-to-day operations.
