We first apply cohomology of variational forms towards a thorough derivation of the invariance statement for the undeformed action from covariance of the equations of motion under the Yangian algebra. We then apply a twist deformation to these statements paying particular attention to cyclicity aspects. We find that the equations of motion remain covariant while invariance of the action only holds for the Yangian subalgebra that is uncharged under the twist. <a class="is-size-7" style="white-space: nowrap;" onclick="document.getElementById('2411.16176v1-abstract-full').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('2411.16176v1-abstract-short').style.display = 'inline';">△ Less</a> </span> </p> <p class="is-size-7"><span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Submitted</span> 25 November, 2024; <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">originally announced</span> November 2024. </p> <p class="comments is-size-7"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Comments:</span> <span class="has-text-grey-dark mathjax">27 pages</span> </p> </li> <li class="arxiv-result"> <div class="is-marginless"> <p class="list-title is-inline-block"><a href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2409.05228">arXiv:2409.05228</a> <span> [<a href="https://arxiv.org/pdf/2409.05228">pdf</a>, <a href="https://arxiv.org/format/2409.05228">other</a>] </span> </p> <div class="tags is-inline-block"> <span class="tag is-small is-link tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="Mathematical Physics">math-ph</span> <span class="tag is-small is-grey tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="High Energy Physics - Theory">hep-th</span> </div> </div> <p class="title is-5 mathjax"> Infinite-Length Limit of Spectral Curves and Inverse Scattering </p> <p class="authors"> <span class="search-hit">Authors:</span> <a href="/search/math-ph?searchtype=author&query=Beisert%2C+N">Niklas Beisert</a>, <a href="/search/math-ph?searchtype=author&query=Gupta%2C+K">Kunal Gupta</a> </p> <p class="abstract mathjax"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Abstract</span>: <span class="abstract-short has-text-grey-dark mathjax" id="2409.05228v1-abstract-short" style="display: inline;"> Integrability equips models of theoretical physics with efficient methods for the exact construction of useful states and their evolution. Relevant tools for classical integrable field models in one spatial dimensional are spectral curves in the case of periodic fields and inverse scattering for asymptotic boundary conditions. Even though the two methods are quite different in many ways, they ought to be related by taking the periodicity length of closed boundary conditions to infinity. Using the Korteweg-de Vries equation and the continuous Heisenberg magnet as prototypical classical integrable field models, we discuss and illustrate how data for spectral curves transforms into asymptotic scattering data. In order to gain intuition and also for concreteness, we review how the elliptic states of these models degenerate into solitons at infinite length. <a class="is-size-7" style="white-space: nowrap;" onclick="document.getElementById('2409.05228v1-abstract-full').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('2409.05228v1-abstract-short').style.display = 'inline';">△ Less</a> </span> </p> <p class="is-size-7"><span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Submitted</span> 8 September, 2024; <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">originally announced</span> September 2024. </p> <p class="comments is-size-7"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Comments:</span> <span class="has-text-grey-dark mathjax">63 pages, figures</span> </p> <p class="comments is-size-7"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Report number:</span> UUITP-26/24 </p> </li> <li class="arxiv-result"> <div class="is-marginless"> <p class="list-title is-inline-block"><a href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2401.10327">arXiv:2401.10327</a> <span> [<a href="https://arxiv.org/pdf/2401.10327">pdf</a>, <a href="https://arxiv.org/format/2401.10327">other</a>] </span> </p> <div class="tags is-inline-block"> <span class="tag is-small is-link tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="High Energy Physics - Theory">hep-th</span> <span class="tag is-small is-grey tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="Mathematical Physics">math-ph</span> <span class="tag is-small is-grey tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="Quantum Algebra">math.QA</span> </div> </div> <p class="title is-5 mathjax"> Affine Classical Lie Bialgebras for AdS/CFT Integrability </p> <p class="authors"> <span class="search-hit">Authors:</span> <a href="/search/math-ph?searchtype=author&query=Beisert%2C+N">Niklas Beisert</a>, <a href="/search/math-ph?searchtype=author&query=Im%2C+E">Egor Im</a> </p> <p class="abstract mathjax"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Abstract</span>: <span class="abstract-short has-text-grey-dark mathjax" id="2401.10327v1-abstract-short" style="display: inline;"> In this article we continue the classical analysis of the symmetry algebra underlying the integrability of the spectrum in the AdS_5/CFT_4 and in the Hubbard model. We extend the construction of the quasi-triangular Lie bialgebra gl(2|2) by contraction and reduction studied in the earlier work to the case of the affine algebra sl(2)^(1) times d(2,1;alpha)^(1). The reduced affine derivation naturally measures the deviation of the classical r-matrix from the difference form. Moreover, it implements a Lorentz boost symmetry, originally suggested to be related to a q-deformed 2D Poincare algebra. In this article, we derive the classical limit of these algebraic integrable structures based on established results for the exceptional simple Lie superalgebra d(2,1;epsilon) along with standard sl(2) which form supersymmetric isometries on 3D AdS space. The two major steps in this construction consist in the contraction to a 3D Poincar茅 superalgebra and a certain reduction to a deformation of the u(2|2) superalgebra. We apply these steps to the integrable structure and obtain the desired Lie bialgebras with suitable classical r-matrices of rational and trigonometric kind. We illustrate our findings in terms of representations for on-shell fields on AdS and flat space. <a class="is-size-7" style="white-space: nowrap;" onclick="document.getElementById('2210.11150v2-abstract-full').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('2210.11150v2-abstract-short').style.display = 'inline';">△ Less</a> </span> </p> <p class="is-size-7"><span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Submitted</span> 14 February, 2023; <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">v1</span> submitted 20 October, 2022; <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">originally announced</span> October 2022. </p> <p class="comments is-size-7"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Comments:</span> <span class="has-text-grey-dark mathjax">44 pages, v2: minor corrections, references added</span> </p> <p class="comments is-size-7"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Journal ref:</span> SciPost Phys. 14, 157 (2023) </p> </li> <li class="arxiv-result"> <div class="is-marginless"> <p class="list-title is-inline-block"><a href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1804.09110">arXiv:1804.09110</a> <span> [<a href="https://arxiv.org/pdf/1804.09110">pdf</a>, <a href="https://arxiv.org/format/1804.09110">other</a>] </span> </p> <div class="tags is-inline-block"> <span class="tag is-small is-link tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="High Energy Physics - Theory">hep-th</span> <span class="tag is-small is-grey tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="Mathematical Physics">math-ph</span> <span class="tag is-small is-grey tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="Quantum Algebra">math.QA</span> </div> <div class="is-inline-block" style="margin-left: 0.5rem"> <div class="tags has-addons"> <span class="tag is-dark is-size-7">doi</span> <span class="tag is-light is-size-7"><a class="" href="https://doi.org/10.21468/SciPostPhys.5.2.018">10.21468/SciPostPhys.5.2.018 <i class="fa fa-external-link" aria-hidden="true"></i></a></span> </div> </div> </div> <p class="title is-5 mathjax"> Yangian Algebra and Correlation Functions in Planar Gauge Theories </p> <p class="authors"> <span class="search-hit">Authors:</span> <a href="/search/math-ph?searchtype=author&query=Beisert%2C+N">Niklas Beisert</a>, <a href="/search/math-ph?searchtype=author&query=Garus%2C+A">Aleksander Garus</a> </p> <p class="abstract mathjax"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Abstract</span>: <span class="abstract-short has-text-grey-dark mathjax" id="1804.09110v2-abstract-short" style="display: inline;"> In this work we consider colour-ordered correlation functions of the fields in integrable planar gauge theories such as N=4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory with the aim to establish Ward-Takahashi identities corresponding to Yangian symmetries. Based on arbitrary short-range (e.g. nearest-neighbor) integrable spin chains, it allows to construct an infinite set of conserved long-range charges. We explain the moduli space of deformation parameters by different classes of generating operators. The rapidity map and dressing phase in the long-range Bethe equations are a result of these deformations. The closed chain asymptotic Bethe equations for long-range spin chains transforming under a generic symmetry algebra are derived. Notably, our construction applies to generalizations of standard nearest-neighbor chains such as alternating spin chains. We also discuss relevant properties for its application to planar D=4, N=4 and D=3, N=6 supersymmetric gauge theories. Finally, we present a map between long-range and inhomogeneous spin chains delivering more insight into the structures of these models as well as their limitations at wrapping order. <a class="is-size-7" style="white-space: nowrap;" onclick="document.getElementById('0902.0956v3-abstract-full').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('0902.0956v3-abstract-short').style.display = 'inline';">△ Less</a> </span> </p> <p class="is-size-7"><span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Submitted</span> 5 March, 2013; <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">v1</span> submitted 5 February, 2009; <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">originally announced</span> February 2009. </p> <p class="comments is-size-7"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Comments:</span> <span class="has-text-grey-dark mathjax">63 pages, v2: references added, v3: typos corrected in eqs (8.20) and (8.24)</span> </p> <p class="comments is-size-7"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Report number:</span> AEI-2009-009 </p> <p class="comments is-size-7"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Journal ref:</span> J.Phys.A42:285205,2009 </p> </li> <li class="arxiv-result"> <div class="is-marginless"> <p class="list-title is-inline-block"><a href="https://arxiv.org/abs/0807.5081">arXiv:0807.5081</a> <span> [<a href="https://arxiv.org/pdf/0807.5081">pdf</a>, <a href="https://arxiv.org/format/0807.5081">other</a>] </span> </p> <div class="tags is-inline-block"> <span class="tag is-small is-link tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="High Energy Physics - Theory">hep-th</span> <span class="tag is-small is-grey tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="Statistical Mechanics">cond-mat.stat-mech</span> <span class="tag is-small is-grey tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="Mathematical Physics">math-ph</span> </div> <div class="is-inline-block" style="margin-left: 0.5rem"> <div class="tags has-addons"> <span class="tag is-dark is-size-7">doi</span> <span class="tag is-light is-size-7"><a class="" href="https://doi.org/10.1088/1742-5468/2008/11/L11001">10.1088/1742-5468/2008/11/L11001 <i class="fa fa-external-link" aria-hidden="true"></i></a></span> </div> </div> </div> <p class="title is-5 mathjax"> Boosting Nearest-Neighbour to Long-Range Integrable Spin Chains </p> <p class="authors"> <span class="search-hit">Authors:</span> <a href="/search/math-ph?searchtype=author&query=Bargheer%2C+T">Till Bargheer</a>, <a href="/search/math-ph?searchtype=author&query=Beisert%2C+N">Niklas Beisert</a>, <a href="/search/math-ph?searchtype=author&query=Loebbert%2C+F">Florian Loebbert</a> </p> <p class="abstract mathjax"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Abstract</span>: <span class="abstract-short has-text-grey-dark mathjax" id="0807.5081v3-abstract-short" style="display: inline;"> We present an integrability-preserving recursion relation for the explicit construction of long-range spin chain Hamiltonians. The spectrum of this model can be given in terms of spectral curves. However, it is a priori not clear whether any given admissible spectral curve can actually be realised as a solution to the discrete Bethe equations, a property which can be referred to as stability. In order to study the issue of stability, we find and explore the general two-cut solution or elliptic curve. It turns out that the moduli space of this elliptic curve shows a surprisingly rich structure. We present the various cases with illustrations and thus gain some insight into the features of multi-cut solutions. It appears that all admissible spectral curves are indeed stable if the branch cuts are positioned in a suitable, non-trivial fashion. <a class="is-size-7" style="white-space: nowrap;" onclick="document.getElementById('0804.0324v1-abstract-full').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('0804.0324v1-abstract-short').style.display = 'inline';">△ Less</a> </span> </p> <p class="is-size-7"><span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Submitted</span> 2 April, 2008; <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">originally announced</span> April 2008. </p> <p class="comments is-size-7"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Comments:</span> <span class="has-text-grey-dark mathjax">82 pages, a figure a page or so</span> </p> <p class="comments is-size-7"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Report number:</span> AEI-2008-010, LPTENS 08/19, SPhT-t08/051 </p> <p class="comments is-size-7"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Journal ref:</span> New J.
