So you shall <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>ordain<MH4390, 3027> Aaron<MH175> and his sons<MH1121>. <p class="hdg">The Sacrifices</p><p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>“Then you shall bring<MH7126> the bull<MH6499> in front<MH6440> of the tent<MH168> of meeting<MH4150>, and Aaron<MH175> and his sons<MH1121> shall lay<MH5564> their hands<MH3027> on the head<MH7218> of the bull<MH6499>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>And you shall slaughter<MH7819> the bull<MH6499> before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068> at the doorway<MH6607> of the tent<MH168> of meeting<MH4150>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>Then you shall take<MH3947> some<MH4480> of the blood<MH1818> of the bull<MH6499> and put<MH5414> <i>it</i> on the horns<MH7161> of the altar<MH4196> with your finger<MH676>; and you shall pour<MH8210> out<MH8210> all<MH3605> <i>the rest of</i> the blood<MH1818> at the base<MH3247> of the altar<MH4196>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>And you shall take<MH3947> all<MH3605> the fat<MH2459> that covers<MH3680> the entrails<MH7130>, and the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>lobe<MH3508> of the liver<MH3516>, and the two<MH8147> kidneys<MH3629> and the fat<MH2459> that is on them, and offer<MH6999> them up<MH6999> in<MH6999> smoke<MH6999> on the altar<MH4196>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>But the flesh<MH1320> of the bull<MH6499> and its hide<MH5785> and its refuse<MH6569>, you shall burn<MH8313> with fire<MH784> outside<MH4480, 2351> the camp<MH4264>; it is a sin<MH2403b> offering<MH2403b>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>“You shall also take<MH3947> the one<MH259> ram<MH352a>, and Aaron<MH175> and his sons<MH1121> shall lay<MH5564> their hands<MH3027> on the head<MH7218> of the ram<MH352a>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>and you shall slaughter<MH7819> the ram<MH352a> and take<MH3947> its blood<MH1818> and sprinkle<MH2236b> it around<MH5439> on the altar<MH4196>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>Then you shall cut<MH5408> the ram<MH352a> into its pieces<MH5409>, and wash<MH7364> its entrails<MH7130> and its legs<MH3767>, and put<MH5414> <i>them</i> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[g]</a></span>with its pieces<MH5409> and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[h]</a></span>its head<MH7218>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>And you shall offer<MH6999> up<MH6999> in<MH6999> smoke<MH6999> the whole<MH3605> ram<MH352a> on the altar<MH4196>; it is a burnt<MH5930a> offering<MH5930a> to the LORD<MH3068>: it is a soothing<MH5207> aroma<MH7381b>, an offering<MH801> by<MH801> fire<MH801> to the LORD<MH3068>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>“Then you shall take<MH3947> the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[i]</a></span>other<MH8145> ram<MH352a>, and Aaron<MH175> and his sons<MH1121> shall lay<MH5564> their hands<MH3027> on the head<MH7218> of the ram<MH352a>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>And you shall slaughter<MH7819> the ram<MH352a>, and take<MH3947> some<MH4480> of its blood<MH1818> and put<MH5414> <i>it</i> on the lobe<MH8571> of Aaron’s<MH175> right ear<MH241> and on the lobes<MH8571> of his sons’<MH1121> right<MH3233> ears<MH241>, and on the thumbs<MH931> of their right<MH3233> hands<MH3027>, and on the big<MH931> toes<MH931> of their right<MH3233> feet<MH7272>, and sprinkle<MH2236b> the <i>rest of the</i> blood<MH1818> around<MH5439> on the altar<MH4196>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>Then you shall take<MH3947> some<MH4480> of the blood<MH1818> that is on the altar<MH4196> and some<MH4480> of the anointing<MH4888b> oil<MH8081>, and sprinkle<MH5137a> <i>it</i> on Aaron<MH175> and on his garments<MH899b>, and on his sons<MH1121> and on his sons’<MH1121> garments<MH899b> with him; so he and his garments<MH899b> shall be consecrated<MH6942>, as well as his sons<MH1121> and his sons’<MH1121> garments<MH899b> with him. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>“You shall also take<MH3947> the fat<MH2459> from the ram<MH352a> and the fat<MH451> tail<MH451>, and the fat<MH2459> that covers<MH3680> the entrails<MH7130> and the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[j]</a></span>lobe<MH3508> of the liver<MH3516>, and the two<MH8147> kidneys<MH3629> and the fat<MH2459> that is on them, and the right<MH3225> thigh<MH7785> (for it is a ram<MH352a> of <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[k]</a></span>ordination<MH4394>), <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span>and one<MH259> loaf<MH3603> of bread<MH3899>, and one<MH259> cake<MH2471> of bread<MH3899> <i>mixed with</i> oil<MH8081>, and one<MH259> wafer<MH7550> from the basket<MH5536> of unleavened<MH4682> bread<MH4682> which<MH834> is <i>set</i> before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span>and you shall put<MH7760> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[l]</a></span>all<MH3605> these<MH3605> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[m]</a></span>in the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[n]</a></span>hands<MH3709> of Aaron<MH175> and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[o]</a></span>in the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[p]</a></span>hands<MH3709> of his sons<MH1121>, and shall wave<MH5130> them as a wave<MH8573> offering<MH8573> before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span>Then you shall take<MH3947> them from their hands<MH3027>, and offer<MH6999> them up<MH6999> in<MH6999> smoke<MH6999> on the altar<MH4196> on the burnt<MH5930a> offering<MH5930a> for a soothing<MH5207> aroma<MH7381b> before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068>; it is an offering<MH801> by<MH801> fire<MH801> to the LORD<MH3068>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-26.htm"><b>26</b></a></span>“Then you shall take<MH3947> the breast<MH2373> of Aaron’s<MH175> ram<MH352a> of <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[q]</a></span>ordination<MH4394>, and wave<MH5130> it as a wave<MH8573> offering<MH8573> before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068>; and it shall be your portion<MH4490>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-27.htm"><b>27</b></a></span>You shall consecrate<MH6942> the breast<MH2373> of the wave<MH8573> offering<MH8573> and the thigh<MH7785> of the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[r]</a></span>contribution<MH8641> which<MH834> was waved<MH5130> and which<MH834> was <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[s]</a></span>offered<MH7311> from the ram<MH352a> of <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[t]</a></span>ordination<MH4394>, from the one which<MH834> was for Aaron<MH175> and from the one which<MH834> was for his sons<MH1121>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-28.htm"><b>28</b></a></span>It shall be for Aaron<MH175> and his sons<MH1121> as <i>their</i> portion<MH2706> forever<MH5769> from the sons<MH1121> of Israel<MH3478>, for it is <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[u]</a></span>a contribution<MH8641>; and it shall be <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[v]</a></span>a contribution<MH8641> from the sons<MH1121> of Israel<MH3478> from the sacrifices<MH2077> of their peace<MH8002> offerings<MH8002>, their <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[w]</a></span>contribution<MH8641> to the LORD<MH3068>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-29.htm"><b>29</b></a></span>“The holy<MH6944> garments<MH899b> of Aaron<MH175> shall be for his sons<MH1121> after<MH310> him, <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[x]</a></span>so that they may be anointed<MH4886> and ordained<MH4390, 3027> in them. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-30.htm"><b>30</b></a></span>For seven<MH7651> days<MH3117> the one of his sons<MH1121> who is priest<MH3548> in<MH8478> his place<MH8478> shall put<MH3847> them on<MH3847> when<MH834> he enters<MH935> the tent<MH168> of meeting<MH4150> to minister<MH8334> in the Holy<MH6944> Place<MH6944>. <p class="hdg">Food of the Priests</p><p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-31.htm"><b>31</b></a></span>“Now you shall take<MH3947> the ram<MH352a> of <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[y]</a></span>ordination<MH4394> and boil<MH1310> its flesh<MH1320> in a holy<MH6918> place<MH4725>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-32.htm"><b>32</b></a></span>Then Aaron<MH175> and his sons<MH1121> shall eat<MH398> the flesh<MH1320> of the ram<MH352a> and the bread<MH3899> that is in the basket<MH5536>, at the doorway<MH6607> of the tent<MH168> of meeting<MH4150>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-33.htm"><b>33</b></a></span>So they shall eat<MH398> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[z]</a></span>those things by which<MH834> atonement<MH3722a> was made<MH3722a> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[aa]</a></span>at their ordination<MH4390, 3027> <i>and</i> consecration<MH6942>; but a <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ab]</a></span>layman<MH2114a> shall not eat<MH398> <i>them,</i> because<MH3588> they are holy<MH6944>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-34.htm"><b>34</b></a></span>And if<MH518> any<MH4480> of the flesh<MH1320> of <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ac]</a></span>ordination<MH4394> or any<MH4480> of the bread<MH3899> remains<MH3498> until<MH5704> morning<MH1242>, then you shall burn<MH8313> the remainder<MH3498> with fire<MH784>; it shall not be eaten<MH398>, because<MH3588> it is holy<MH6944>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-35.htm"><b>35</b></a></span>“So you shall do<MH6213a> for Aaron<MH175> and for his sons<MH1121>, according to all<MH3605> that I have commanded<MH6680> you; you shall <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ad]</a></span>ordain<MH4390, 3027> them for seven<MH7651> days<MH3117>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-36.htm"><b>36</b></a></span>Each day<MH3117> you shall offer<MH6213a> a bull<MH6499> as a sin<MH2403b> offering<MH2403b> for atonement<MH3725>, and you shall <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ae]</a></span>purify<MH2398> the altar<MH4196> when you make<MH3722a> atonement<MH3722a> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[af]</a></span>for it, and you shall anoint<MH4886> it to consecrate<MH6942> it. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-37.htm"><b>37</b></a></span>For seven<MH7651> days<MH3117> you shall make<MH3722a> atonement<MH3722a> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ag]</a></span>for the altar<MH4196> and consecrate<MH6942> it; then the altar<MH4196> shall be most<MH6944> holy<MH6944>, <i>and</i> whatever<MH3605> touches<MH5060> the altar<MH4196> shall be<MH6942> holy<MH6942>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-38.htm"><b>38</b></a></span>“Now this<MH2088> is what<MH834> you shall offer<MH6213a> on the altar<MH4196>: two<MH8147> one-year-old<MH8141, 1121> lambs<MH3532> each day<MH3117>, continuously<MH8548>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-39.htm"><b>39</b></a></span>The one<MH259> lamb<MH3532> you shall offer<MH6213a> in the morning<MH1242>, and the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ah]</a></span>other<MH8145> lamb<MH3532> you shall offer<MH6213a> at <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ai]</a></span>twilight<MH6153>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-40.htm"><b>40</b></a></span>and there <i>shall be</i> a <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[aj]</a></span>tenth<MH6241> <i>of an ephah</i> of fine<MH5560> flour<MH5560> mixed<MH1101a> with a <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ak]</a></span>fourth<MH7253> of a hin<MH1969> of beaten<MH3795> oil<MH8081>, and a fourth<MH7243> of a hin<MH1969> of wine<MH3196> for a drink<MH5262a> offering<MH5262a> with one<MH259> lamb<MH3532>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-41.htm"><b>41</b></a></span>The <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[al]</a></span>other<MH8145> lamb<MH3532> you shall offer<MH6213a> at <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[am]</a></span>twilight<MH6153>, and shall offer<MH6213a> with it <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[an]</a></span>the same grain offering<MH4503> and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ao]</a></span>the same drink<MH5262a> offering<MH5262a> as in the morning<MH1242>, for a soothing<MH5207> aroma<MH7381b>, an offering<MH801> by<MH801> fire<MH801> to the LORD<MH3068>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-42.htm"><b>42</b></a></span>It shall be a continual<MH8548> burnt<MH5930a> offering<MH5930a> throughout your generations<MH1755> at the doorway<MH6607> of the tent<MH168> of meeting<MH4150> before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068>, where<MH834, 8033> I will meet<MH3259> with you, to speak<MH1696> to you there<MH8033>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-43.htm"><b>43</b></a></span>I will meet<MH3259> there<MH8033> with the sons<MH1121> of Israel<MH3478>, and it shall be consecrated<MH6942> by My glory<MH3519b>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-44.htm"><b>44</b></a></span>I will consecrate<MH6942> the tent<MH168> of meeting<MH4150> and the altar<MH4196>; I will also consecrate<MH6942> Aaron<MH175> and his sons<MH1121> to serve<MH3547> as<MH3547> priests<MH3547> to Me. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-45.htm"><b>45</b></a></span>And I will dwell<MH7931> among<MH8432> the sons<MH1121> of Israel<MH3478> and will be their God<MH430>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/29-46.htm"><b>46</b></a></span>And they shall know<MH3045> that I am the LORD<MH3068> their God<MH430> who<MH834> brought<MH3318> them out<MH3318> of the land<MH776> of Egypt<MH4714>, so that I might dwell<MH7931> among<MH8432> them;
