and they were affrighted: <A name="7"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>but he said to them, Be not affrighted, ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified, He is risen, He is not here, see the place where they laid Him. <A name="8"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>But go, tell his disciples, and Peter <i>particularly,</i> that He is going before you into Galilee: there ye will see Him, as He told you. <A name="9"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>And they hasted out and fled from the sepulchre; for they were seized with trembling and amazement: neither said they any thing to any one; for they were afraid.<p> <A name="10"></a><p class="hdg">Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene<br /><span class="cross">(<a href ="../john/20.htm#10">John 20:10–18</a>)</span><p><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>Now <i>Jesus</i> being risen early on the first day of the week appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom He had cast out seven devils: <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span><i>and</i> she went and told those that used to be with Him, who were mourning and weeping; <A name="12"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>but they, though they heard that He was <i>indeed</i> alive, and <i>had been</i> seen by her, did not believe <i>it.</i><p> <A name="13"></a><p class="hdg">Jesus Appears to Two Disciples<br /><span class="cross">(<a href ="../luke/24.htm#13">Luke 24:13–35</a>)</span><p><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>After this He appeared in another form to two of them <i>as they were</i> walking, going into the country: <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>and they went and told the rest;
