across the African continent, have been battling it out for the best song in Africa, during the 2020 edition of the AfriMusic Song Contest. The much-awaited moment to announce which songwriter takes the coveted title has arrived AND the winner of the 2020 AfriMusic Song Contest is Dhortune ThatOndoBoy representing Nigeria with the song Yèmi, who led the contest in the finals with an astounding 315,314 public votes.<br><br> This year's competition was the hardest one yet, with entries from 29 African countries and 113 songs competing in the National Selections - 30 best from which have qualified to the Grand Final. Voting for the best song, was indeed a challenge, with so much talent that Africa had to offer. This year's final results were so close, and for the first time in its history the contest had numerous tiebacks in both selection phases. The winner of the AfriMusic Song Contest is selected by a positional voting process. Each contestant receives two sets of points, one set from the judges panel and another from the public voting. Points are combined and divided 50/50 between judges and public votes. The song with the highest number of combined points wins. In the case of tie-backs, the song receiving the highest points from the public vote is the winner. In fact, in this year's final only one song managed to score points from both public and jury.<br><br> <blockquote>"This year saw the two top contenders, both representing Nigeria. Dhortune lead with the public votes, while Zinny lead with the judge's votes. Following in similar format to that of the Eurovision Song Contest voting rules, should finalists combined scores result in a tie for the title, the finalist with the highest number of public votes, will be declared the winner. Following the tightest and closest results during the National Selections, the decision across the AfriMusic executive board was unanimous, there can only be one winner and the same rules for the finals, as with the Eurovision Song contest should apply. This resulted in Zinny taking second place, with quite a big difference in public votes received, to that of Dhortune. We have seen an amazing global reach, where votes from countries such as, Brazil, Mexico, America, Canada, Australia, Russia, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Sweden, France and many more, were received in supported their favourite AfriMusic contestant. Dhortune was a well deserving contestant from the start, as we saw how his fans and public got behind him in support. His ability to market himself alongside all the promotion AfriMusic were doing, was quite remarkable. ESCKAZ is supporting the largest initiative of the first ever 100% online edition of the Contest - Eurostream 2020.<br><br> Three scheduled live shows (with two Semi-Finals culminating in one Grand Final) will be broadcast online for viewers around the world. The Semi-Finals will take place on Tuesday 5 and Thursday 7 May, starting at 21:00 CET. The same countries that were supposed to participate in the Semi-Finals of Eurovision 2020 will take part in the Semi-Finals of Eurostream 2020. Prior to the live shows, draws will be held to determine the running order for the two Semi-Finals. These will take place on Tuesday 21 and 28 April, respectively, and will also be broadcast online. <br><br> Ten countries from each broadcast advancing to the Grand Final based on the votes of national juries consisting of music professionals (50%) and online public voting (50%). Just like at Eurovision, the qualifiers will be announced in a random order, with detailed results to be released following the Final.<br><br> The same voting system will be applied to compile the results for the Grand Final of Eurostream 2020, to be held on Saturday 9 May, at 21:00 CET. The twenty qualifiers from the Semi-Finals will be joined by the countries of the Big 5 (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom) and the 2020 host country, The Netherlands, who are already pre-qualified for the Grand Final.<br><br> There will be no live performances from the artists during the live shows of Eurostream 2020. Two independent juries have determined who will be representing Germany in Rotterdam: a "Eurovision Jury" composed of 100 persons from all over Germany and an international expert jury of 20 music professionals. These music professionals have all been part of their home country's national ESC jury at one time. At the Eurovision Song Contest half of the points that are awarded come from the viewers and half from the national juries. The NDR based its process on this principle.<br><br> In a multi-stage process these two juries have evaluated both the artists and the songs. Who will be competing for Germany in the ESC finals, and what will be Germany's song will be broadcasted by ONE on Thursday, 27 February, at 9:30 p.m. in "Our Song for Rotterdam." In each performance, she has demonstrated impressive vocal abilities and feels most comfortable on stage. Every time she took the stage she brought with her rhythm, good energy and a lot of soul. In the final show Eden performed Rihanna's "Where Have You Been" in the duel, but lost to Or Amrami Brockman. However, thanks to the votes of the audience and the judges, she went on to the final stage where she competed with Or Amrami Brockman and Ella Lee Lahav, performing Beyonce's "Halo". At the end of the voting phase and after weighing the results of the judges and the audience, Eden came in first place with 260 points. ESCKAZ поддержит крупнейший из таких проектов - интернет конкурс Eurostream, который состоится 5-7-9 мая 2020 года.<br><br> Онлайн-конкурс будет включать в себя три шоу, которые выйдут в прямом эфире. Полуфиналы выйдут в эфир 5 и 7 мая в 22:00 Москвы. Распределение стран на полуфиналы будет соответствовать проведенной жеребьевке Евровидения 2020. Нет сомнений в том, что авторы песен из Африки будут и впредь делиться африканским звучанием со всем миром, оставляя свой след за рубежом.<br><br> 18 марта Европейский Вещательный Союз объявил об отмене конкурса песни Евровидение, который был запланирован на май 2020 года в связи с глобальной пандемией COVID-19. <i>"Эта разрушительная пандемия сильно повлияла на все события в мире, ее последствия ощутили на себе все слои общества, вне зависимости от того, на каком континенте вы живете.
