The recent boom in the socio-economic condition of Bangladesh has given rise to the building of high-rise commercial and residential infrastructures. The advantage of the pile integrity test lies in the fact that it is possible to get an approximate indication regarding the quality of the sub-structure before commencing the construction of the super-structure. This paper aims at providing a classification of cast-in-situ piles based on characteristic reflectograms obtained using the Sonic Integrity Testing program for the sub-soil condition of Narayanganj, Bangladesh. The piles have been classified as 'Pile Type-1', 'Pile Type-2', 'Pile Type-3', 'Pile type-4', 'Pile Type-5' or 'Pile Type-6' from the visual observations of reflections from the generated stress waves by striking the pile head with a handheld hammer. With respect to construction quality and integrity, piles have been further classified into three distinct categories, i.e., satisfactory, may be satisfactory, and unsatisfactory. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=cast-in-situ%20piles" title="cast-in-situ piles">cast-in-situ piles</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=characteristic%20reflectograms" title=" characteristic reflectograms"> characteristic reflectograms</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=pile%20integrity%20test" title=" pile integrity test"> pile integrity test</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sonic%20integrity%20testing%20program" title=" sonic integrity testing program"> sonic integrity testing program</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/126450/evaluation-of-cast-in-situ-pile-condition-using-pile-integrity-test" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/126450.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">117</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7372</span> Investigation and Analysis on Pore Pressure Variation by Sonic Impedance under Influence of Compressional, Shear, and Stonely Waves in High Pressure Zones</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nouri">Nouri</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=K."> K.</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ghassem%20Alaskari"> Ghassem Alaskari</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=M."> M.</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=K."> K.</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Amiri%20Hazaveh"> Amiri Hazaveh</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=A."> A.</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nabi%20Bidhendi"> Nabi Bidhendi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=M."> M. </a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Pore pressure is one on the key Petrophysical parameter in exploration discussion and survey on hydrocarbon reservoir. Determination of pore pressure in various levels of drilling and integrity of drilling mud and high pressure zones in order to restrict blow-out and following damages are significant. The pore pressure is obtained by seismic and well logging data. In this study the pore pressure and over burden pressure through the matrix stress and Tarzaqi equation and other related formulas are calculated. By making a comparison on variation of density log in over normal pressure zones with change of sonic impedance under influence of compressional, shear, and Stonely waves, the correlation level of sonic impedance with density log is studied. The level of correlation and variation trend is recorded in sonic impedance under influence Stonely wave with density log that key factor in recording of over burden pressure and pore pressure in Tarzaqi equation is high. The transition time is in divert relation with porosity and fluid type in the formation and as a consequence to the pore pressure. The density log is a key factor in determination of pore pressure therefore sonic impedance under Stonley wave is denotes well the identification of high pressure besides other used factors. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=pore%20pressure" title="pore pressure">pore pressure</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=stonely%20wave" title=" stonely wave"> stonely wave</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=density%20log" title=" density log"> density log</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sonic%20impedance" title=" sonic impedance"> sonic impedance</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=high%20pressure%20zone" title=" high pressure zone"> high pressure zone</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/14187/investigation-and-analysis-on-pore-pressure-variation-by-sonic-impedance-under-influence-of-compressional-shear-and-stonely-waves-in-high-pressure-zones" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/14187.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">395</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7371</span> Effects of Porosity Logs on Pore Connectivity and Volumetric Estimation </h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Segun%20S.%20Bodunde">Segun S. The research aimed at determining the statistical dependence of permeability and oil volume in place on porosity logs. Of the three popular porosity logs, two were used; the sonic and density logs. The objectives of the research were to identify the porosity logs that vary more with location and direction, to visualize the depth trend of both logs and to determine the influence of these logs on pore connectivity determination and volumetric analysis. The focus was on density and sonic logs. It was observed that the sonic derived porosities were higher than the density derived porosities (in well two, across the two reservoir sands, sonic porosity averaged 30.8% while density derived porosity averaged 23.65%, and the same trend was observed in other wells.). The sonic logs were further observed to have lower co-efficient of variation when compared to the density logs (in sand A, well 2, sonic derived porosity had a co-efficient of variation of 12.15% compared to 22.52% from the density logs) indicating a lower tendency to vary with location and direction. The bulk density was observed to increase with depth while the transit time reduced with depth. It was also observed that for an 8.87% decrease in porosity, the pore connectivity was observed to decrease by about 38%. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=pore%20connectivity" title="pore connectivity">pore connectivity</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=co-efficient%20of%20variation" title=" co-efficient of variation"> co-efficient of variation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=density%20derived%20porosity" title=" density derived porosity"> density derived porosity</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sonic%20derived%20porosity" title=" sonic derived porosity"> sonic derived porosity</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/112635/effects-of-porosity-logs-on-pore-connectivity-and-volumetric-estimation" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/112635.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">190</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7370</span> Effect of CSL Tube Type on the Drilled Shaft Axial Load Carrying Capacity </h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ali%20Motevalli">Ali Motevalli</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shahin%20Nayyeri%20Amiri"> Shahin Nayyeri Amiri</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Cross-Hole Sonic Logging (CSL) is a common type of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) method, which is currently used to check the integrity of placed drilled shafts. CSL evaluates the integrity of the concrete inside the cage and between the access tubes based on propagation of ultrasonic waves between two or more access tubes. A number of access tubes are installed inside the reinforcing cage prior to concrete placement as guides for sensors. The access tubes can be PVC or steel galvanized based on ASTM6760. The type of the CSL tubes can affect the axial strength of the drilled shaft. The objective of this study is to compare the amount of axial load capacity of drilled shafts due to using a different type of CSL tubes inside the caging. To achieve this, three (3) large-scale drilled shaft samples were built and tested using a hydraulic actuator at the Florida International University’s (FIU) Titan America Structures and Construction Testing (TASCT) laboratory. During the static load test, load-displacement curves were recorded by the data acquisition system (MegaDAC). Three drilled shaft samples were built to evaluate the effect of the type of the CSL tube on the axial load capacity in drilled shaft foundations. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=drilled%20shaft%20foundations" title="drilled shaft foundations">drilled shaft foundations</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=axial%20load%20capacity" title=" axial load capacity"> axial load capacity</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=cage" title=" cage"> cage</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=PVC" title=" PVC"> PVC</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=galvanized%20tube" title=" galvanized tube"> galvanized tube</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=CSL%20tube" title=" CSL tube"> CSL tube</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/16073/effect-of-csl-tube-type-on-the-drilled-shaft-axial-load-carrying-capacity" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/16073.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">402</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7369</span> The Effect of Program Type on Mutation Testing: Comparative Study</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=B.%20Falah">B. Recently, many cost and mutants’ reduction techniques have been developed, improved, and experimented, but few of them has relied the possibility of reducing the cost of mutation testing on the program type of the application under test. This paper is a comparative study between four operators’ selection techniques (mutants sampling, class level operators, method level operators, and all operators’ selection) based on the program code type of each application under test. It aims at finding an alternative approach to reveal the effect of code type on mutation testing score. The result of our experiment shows that the program code type can affect the mutation score and that the programs using polymorphism are best suited to be tested with mutation testing. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=equivalent%20mutant" title="equivalent mutant">equivalent mutant</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=killed%20mutant" title=" killed mutant"> killed mutant</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mutation%20score" title=" mutation score"> mutation score</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mutation%20testing" title=" mutation testing"> mutation testing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=program%20code%20type" title=" program code type"> program code type</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=software%20testing" title=" software testing"> software testing</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/34959/the-effect-of-program-type-on-mutation-testing-comparative-study" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/34959.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">554</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7368</span> Sonic Therapeutic Intervention for Preventing Financial Fraud: A Phenomenological Study</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Vasudev%20Das">Vasudev Das</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In a global survey of more than 5,000 participants in 99 territories, PwC found a loss of $42 billion through fraud in the last 24 months. The specific problem is that private and public organizational leaders often do not understand the importance of sonic therapeutic intervention in preventing financial fraud. The study aimed to explore sonic therapeutic intervention practitioners' lived experiences regarding the value of sonic therapeutic intervention in preventing financial fraud. The data collection methods were semi-structured interviews of purposeful samples and documentary reviews, which were analyzed thematically. Four themes emerged from the analysis of interview transcription data: Sonic therapeutic intervention enabled self-control, pro-spiritual values, consequentiality mindset, and post-conventional consciousness. The itemized four themes helped non-engagement in financial fraud. Implications for positive social change include enhanced financial fraud management, more significant financial leadership, and result-oriented decision-taking in the financial market. Also, the study results can improve the increased de-escalation of anxiety/stress associated with defrauding. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=consciousness" title="consciousness">consciousness</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=consequentiality" title=" consequentiality"> consequentiality</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=rehabilitation" title=" rehabilitation"> rehabilitation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=reintegration" title=" reintegration"> reintegration</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/136308/sonic-therapeutic-intervention-for-preventing-financial-fraud-a-phenomenological-study" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/136308.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">159</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7367</span> A New Approach for Assertions Processing during Assertion-Based Software Testing</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ali%20M.%20Alakeel">Ali M. This apparatus performs different shear and pullout tests under both static and cyclic loading. The testing program was carried out to investigate the controlling factors affecting soil/geogrid interaction under cyclic loading. The extensibility of the geogrids, the applied normal stresses, the characteristics of the cyclic loading (frequency, and amplitude), and initial static load within the geogrid sheet were considered in the testing program. Based on the findings of the testing program, the effect of these parameters on the pullout resistance of geogrids, as well as the displacement mobility under cyclic loading were evaluated. Recent literature has provided scientific evidence that music affects psychological and physical changes through stimulation of brainwave. Despite such advances, the scientific study of the sonic qualities peculiar to traditional instruments and how it impacts on ritualistic activities is still lacking. This study addresses one such phenomenon. Devotees in Kavadi rituals are known to be in a state of trance state and do not experience pain nor suffer injury despite the hundreds of needles pierced through their skins. Although scientists have sought to understand how this is possible, lesser is known about the music that is used to prepare devotees to enter into the trance state. This study fills this gap of knowledge by providing scientific evidence through the identification and mapping of the sonic spectrum or sound fingerprint of the instruments and the repertoire used in these ritualistic forms in their ethnographic environment and in audio-controlled situations. The objectives are to identify and categorize the different types of traditional music used in Kavadi rituals; to record, transcribe and digitally score the musical repertoire used in the oral tradition of Kavadi rituals; to map the sonic spectrum of ritual music using spectromography and advanced music analytical software a mixed methodology will be used. This comprises ethnographic field studies using interviews, participant observation, audio-video recordings and audio-methodology using spectromography and advanced audio-technology for sonic mapping and the transcription of audio recordings into digital scores. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sonic" title="sonic">sonic</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=traditional" title=" traditional"> traditional</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ritual" title=" ritual"> ritual</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kavadi" title=" Kavadi"> Kavadi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=music" title=" music"> music</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/54012/mapping-the-sonic-spectrum-of-traditional-music-and-instruments-used-in-malaysian-kavadi-rituals" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/54012.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">242</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7364</span> Exploration for Magnetic Minerals Using Geophysical Logging Techniques in the Northwestern Part of Bangladesh</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Md.%20Selim%20Reza">Md. The main objectives of this study were to identify the subsurface lithology and the presence of magnetic minerals within the basement complex. In this survey, full waveform sonic, magnetic susceptibility and natural gamma logs were conducted up to the depth of 660 m. From sonic log, three distinct velocity zones were observed at depths ranging from 20 m to 81 m, 81m to 360 m and 420 m to 660 m having the average velocity of 1600 m/s indicating unconsolidated sediment, 2500 m/s indicating hard, compact and matured sediments and 6300 m/s indicating basement complex respectively. Some low-velocity zones within the basement were identified as fractures/fissures. Natural gamma log was carried out only in the basement complex. According to magnetic susceptibility log, broadly three important zones were identified which had good agreement with the natural gamma, sonic as well as geological logs. The zone at the depth from 460 m to 470 m had the average susceptibility value of 3445 cgs unit. The average natural gamma value and sonic velocity in this zone are 150 cps and 3000 m/s respectively. The zone at the depth from 571 m to 598 m had the average susceptibility value of 5158 cgs unit with the average natural gamma value and sonic velocity are 160 cps and 6000 m/s respectively. On the other hand, the zone at the depth from 598 m to 620 m had the average susceptibility value of 1998 cgs unit with the average natural gamma value and sonic velocity show 200 cps and 3000 m/s respectively. From the interpretation of geophysical logs the 1st and 3rd zones within the basement complex are considered to be less significant whereas the 2nd zone is described as the most significant for magnetic minerals. Therefore, more drill holes are recommended on the anomalous body to delineate the extent, thickness and reserve of the magnetic body and further research are needed to determine the quality of mineral resources. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=basement%20complex" title="basement complex">basement complex</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=fractures%2Ffissures" title=" fractures/fissures"> fractures/fissures</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=geophysical%20logging" title=" geophysical logging"> geophysical logging</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=lithology" title=" lithology"> lithology</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=magnetic%20susceptibility" title=" magnetic susceptibility"> magnetic susceptibility</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/71382/exploration-for-magnetic-minerals-using-geophysical-logging-techniques-in-the-northwestern-part-of-bangladesh" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/71382.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">289</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7363</span> HEXAFLY-INT Project: Design of a High Speed Flight Experiment</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=S.%20Di%20Benedetto">S. The project, which is currently involving partners from Europe, Russian Federation and Australia operating under ESA/ESTEC coordination, will achieve the goal of designing, manufacturing, assembling and flight testing an unpowered high speed vehicle in a glider configuration by 2018. The main technical challenges of the project are specifically related to the design of the vehicle gliding configuration and to the complexity of integrating breakthrough technologies with standard aeronautical technologies, e.g. high temperature protection system and airframe cold structures. Also, the sonic boom impact, which is one of the environmental challenges of the high speed flight, will be assessed. This paper provides a comprehensive and detailed update on all the current projects activities carried out to date on both the vehicle and mission design. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=design" title="design">design</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=flight%20testing" title=" flight testing"> flight testing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=HEXAFLY-INT" title=" HEXAFLY-INT"> HEXAFLY-INT</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=hypersonics" title=" hypersonics"> hypersonics</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/47398/hexafly-int-project-design-of-a-high-speed-flight-experiment" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/47398.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">468</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7362</span> Machine Learning Approach for Mutation Testing</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Michael%20Stewart">Michael Stewart</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Mutation testing is a type of software testing proposed in the 1970s where program statements are deliberately changed to introduce simple errors so that test cases can be validated to determine if they can detect the errors. Test cases are executed against the mutant code to determine if one fails, detects the error and ensures the program is correct. One major issue with this type of testing was it became intensive computationally to generate and test all possible mutations for complex programs. This paper used reinforcement learning and parallel processing within the context of mutation testing for the selection of mutation operators and test cases that reduced the computational cost of testing and improved test suite effectiveness. Experiments were conducted using sample programs to determine how well the reinforcement learning-based algorithm performed with one live mutation, multiple live mutations and no live mutations. The experiments, measured by mutation score, were used to update the algorithm and improved accuracy for predictions. The performance was then evaluated on multiple processor computers. With reinforcement learning, the mutation operators utilized were reduced by 50 – 100%. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=automated-testing" title="automated-testing">automated-testing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=machine%20learning" title=" machine learning"> machine learning</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mutation%20testing" title=" mutation testing"> mutation testing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=parallel%20processing" title=" parallel processing"> parallel processing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=reinforcement%20learning" title=" reinforcement learning"> reinforcement learning</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=software%20engineering" title=" software engineering"> software engineering</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=software%20testing" title=" software testing"> software testing</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/141195/machine-learning-approach-for-mutation-testing" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/141195.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">198</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7361</span> Comparison of Presented Definitions to Authenticity and Integrity</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Golnaz%20Salehi%20Mourkani">Golnaz Salehi Mourkani</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Two conception of Integrity and authenticity, in texts have just applied respectively for adaptive reuse and conservation, which in comparison with word “Integrity” in texts related to adaptive reuse is much more seen than Authenticity, which is often applied with conservation. Since the underlying architecture of these distributed computing platforms is often new to users, building a DISC application can often be time-consuming and prone to errors. The automated conversion of a sequential program to a DISC program will consequently significantly improve productivity. However, synthesizing a user’s intended program from an input specification is complex, with several important applications, such as distributed program synthesizing and code refactoring. Existing works such as Tyro and Casper rely entirely on deductive synthesis techniques or similar program synthesis approaches. Our approach is to develop a data-driven synthesis technique to identify sequential components and translate them to equivalent distributed operations. We emphasize using reinforcement learning and unit testing as feedback mechanisms to achieve our objectives. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=program%20synthesis" title="program synthesis">program synthesis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=distributed%20computing" title=" distributed computing"> distributed computing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=reinforcement%20learning" title=" reinforcement learning"> reinforcement learning</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=unit%20testing" title=" unit testing"> unit testing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=DISC" title=" DISC"> DISC</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/158356/roop-translating-sequential-code-fragments-to-distributed-code-fragments-using-deep-reinforcement-learning" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/158356.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">106</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7356</span> Identifying Teachers’ Perception of Integrity in School-Based Assessment Practice: A Case Study</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Abd%20Aziz%20Bin%20Abd%20Shukor">Abd Aziz Bin Abd Shukor</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Eftah%20Binti%20Moh%20Hj%20Abdullah"> Eftah Binti Moh Hj Abdullah</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This case study aims to identify teachers’ perception as regards integrity in School-Ba sed Assessment (PBS) practice. This descriptive study involved 9 teachers from 4 secondary schools in 3 districts in the state of Perak. The respondents had undergone an integrity in PBS Practice interview using a focused group discussion method. The overall findings showed that the teachers believed that integrity in PBS practice could be achieved by adjusting the teaching methods align with learning objectives and the students’ characteristics. Many teachers, parents and student did not understand the best practice of PBS. This would affect the integrity in PBS practice. Teachers did not emphasis the principles and ethics. Their integrity as an innovative public servant may also be affected with the frequently changing assessment system, lack of training and no prior action research. The analysis of findings showed that the teachers viewed that organizational integrity involving the integrity of PBS was difficult to be implemented based on the expectations determined by Malaysia Ministry of Education (KPM). A few elements which assisted in the achievement of PBS integrity were the training, students’ understanding, the parents’ understanding of PBS, environment (involving human resources such as support and appreciation and non-human resources such as technology infrastructure readiness and media). The implications of this study show that teachers, as the PBS implementers, have a strong influence on the integrity of PBS. However, the transformation of behavior involving PBS integrity among teachers requires the stabilisation of support and infrastructure in order to enable the teachers to implement PBS in an ethical manner. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=assessment%20integrity" title="assessment integrity">assessment integrity</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=integrity" title=" integrity"> integrity</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=perception" title=" perception"> perception</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=school-based%20assessment" title=" school-based assessment"> school-based assessment</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/41309/identifying-teachers-perception-of-integrity-in-school-based-assessment-practice-a-case-study" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/41309.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">349</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7355</span> A Framework for Secure Information Flow Analysis in Web Applications </h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ralph%20Adaimy">Ralph Adaimy</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Wassim%20El-Hajj"> Wassim El-Hajj</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ghassen%20Ben%20Brahim"> Ghassen Ben Brahim</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hazem%20Hajj"> Hazem Hajj</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Haidar%20Safa"> Haidar Safa</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Huge amounts of data and personal information are being sent to and retrieved from web applications on daily basis. Every application has its own confidentiality and integrity policies. Violating these policies can have broad negative impact on the involved company’s financial status, while enforcing them is very hard even for the developers with good security background. In this paper, we propose a framework that enforces security-by-construction in web applications. Minimal developer effort is required, in a sense that the developer only needs to annotate database attributes by a security class. The web application code is then converted into an intermediary representation, called Extended Program Dependence Graph (EPDG). Using the EPDG, the provided annotations are propagated to the application code and run against generic security enforcement rules that were carefully designed to detect insecure information flows as early as they occur. As a result, any violation in the data’s confidentiality or integrity policies is reported. As a proof of concept, two PHP web applications, Hotel Reservation and Auction, were used for testing and validation. The proposed system was able to catch all the existing insecure information flows at their source. Moreover and to highlight the simplicity of the suggested approaches vs. existing approaches, two professional web developers assessed the annotation tasks needed in the presented case studies and provided a very positive feedback on the simplicity of the annotation task. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=web%20applications%20security" title="web applications security">web applications security</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=secure%20information%20flow" title=" secure information flow"> secure information flow</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=program%20dependence%20graph" title=" program dependence graph"> program dependence graph</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=database%20annotation" title=" database annotation"> database annotation</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/19919/a-framework-for-secure-information-flow-analysis-in-web-applications" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/19919.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">471</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7354</span> Automated Java Testing: JUnit versus AspectJ</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Manish%20Jain">Manish Jain</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Dinesh%20Gopalani"> Dinesh Gopalani</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Growing dependency of mankind on software technology increases the need for thorough testing of the software applications and automated testing techniques that support testing activities. We have outlined our testing strategy for performing various types of automated testing of Java applications using AspectJ which has become the de-facto standard for Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP). Likewise JUnit, a unit testing framework is the most popular Java testing tool. In this paper, we have evaluated our proposed AOP approach for automated testing and JUnit on various parameters. First we have provided the similarity between the two approaches and then we have done a detailed comparison of the two testing techniques on factors like lines of testing code, learning curve, testing of private members etc. We established that our AOP testing approach using AspectJ has got several advantages and is thus particularly more effective than JUnit. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=aspect%20oriented%20programming" title="aspect oriented programming">aspect oriented programming</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=AspectJ" title=" AspectJ"> AspectJ</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=aspects" title=" aspects"> aspects</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=JU-nit" title=" JU-nit"> JU-nit</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=software%20testing" title=" software testing"> software testing</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/82341/automated-java-testing-junit-versus-aspectj" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/82341.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">331</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7353</span> Data Integrity between Ministry of Education and Private Schools in the United Arab Emirates</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rima%20Shishakly">Rima Shishakly</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mervyn%20Misajon"> Mervyn Misajon</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Education is similar to other businesses and industries. Achieving data integrity is essential in order to attain a significant supporting for all the stakeholders in the educational sector. Efficient data collect, flow, processing, storing and retrieving are vital in order to deliver successful solutions to the different stakeholders. Ministry of Education (MOE) in United Arab Emirates (UAE) has adopted ‘Education 2020’ a series of five-year plans designed to introduce advanced education management information systems. As part of this program, in 2010 MOE implemented Student Information Systems (SIS) to manage and monitor the students’ data and information flow between MOE and international private schools in UAE. This paper is going to discuss data integrity concerns between MOE, and private schools. The paper will clarify the data integrity issues and will indicate the challenges that face private schools in UAE. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=education%20management%20information%20systems%20%28EMIS%29" title="education management information systems (EMIS)">education management information systems (EMIS)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=student%20information%20system%20%28SIS%29" title=" student information system (SIS)"> student information system (SIS)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=United%20Arab%20Emirates%20%28UAE%29" title=" United Arab Emirates (UAE)"> United Arab Emirates (UAE)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ministry%20of%20education%20%28MOE%29" title=" ministry of education (MOE)"> ministry of education (MOE)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=%28KHDA%29%20the%20knowledge%20and%20human%20development%20authority" title=" (KHDA) the knowledge and human development authority"> (KHDA) the knowledge and human development authority</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Abu%20Dhabi%20educational%20counsel%20%28ADEC%29" title=" Abu Dhabi educational counsel (ADEC)"> Abu Dhabi educational counsel (ADEC)</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/43280/data-integrity-between-ministry-of-education-and-private-schools-in-the-united-arab-emirates" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/43280.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">222</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7352</span> Ramadan and Ethical Integrity in the United Arab Emirates</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Gabriel%20Andrade">Gabriel Andrade</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Background: Ramadan is a time of intense religious salience in the Islamic world. Our aim is to construct a knowledge modeling that facilitates translation, interpretation, and conversion of human-readable integrity interpretation into computer-readable representation. The framework provides a function structure related to fault propagation using ISO 14224 and ISO 15926 OWL-Lite/ Resource Description Framework (RDF) to obtain a generic system-level model of asset integrity that can be utilized in the integrity engineering process during the equipment life cycle. It employs standard terminology developed by ISO 15926 and ISO 14224 to map textual descriptions of equipment failure and then convert it to a causality-driven logic by semantic interpretation and computer-based representation using Lite/RDF. The framework applied for an offshore gas riser. The result shows that the approach can cross-link the failure-related integrity words and domain-specific logic to obtain a representation structure of equipment integrity with causality inference based on semantic extraction of inspection report context. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=asset%20integrity%20modeling" title="asset integrity modeling">asset integrity modeling</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=interoperability" title=" interoperability"> interoperability</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=OWL" title=" OWL"> OWL</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=RDF%2FXML" title=" RDF/XML"> RDF/XML</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/131416/an-ontology-based-framework-to-support-asset-integrity-modeling-case-study-of-offshore-riser-integrity" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/131416.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">187</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7349</span> Secure Transfer of Medical Images Using Hybrid Encryption Authentication, Confidentiality, Integrity</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Boukhatem%20Mohammed%20Belkaid">Boukhatem Mohammed Belkaid</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Lahdir%20Mourad"> Lahdir Mourad</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In this paper, we propose a new encryption system for security issues medical images. The primary objective of the work was to determine the relations between the applied machining strategy and the obtained surface integrity, in order to select the effective cutting conditions allowing the obtainment of high surface quality. The carried out experiment included the machining of Inconel 718 in the conventional turning conditions, as well as during the continuous laser assisted machining and sequential laser assistance. The surface integrity was evaluated by the measurements of machined surface topographies, microstructures and the microhardness. Results revealed that surface integrity of Inconel 718 is strongly affected by the selected machining strategy. The significant improvement of the surface roughness formed during machining of Inconel 718, can be reached by the application of simultaneous laser heating and cutting (LAM). <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Inconel%20718" title="Inconel 718">Inconel 718</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=laser%20assisted%20machining" title=" laser assisted machining"> laser assisted machining</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=surface%20integrity" title=" surface integrity"> surface integrity</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=turning" title=" turning"> turning</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/72088/the-evaluation-of-surface-integrity-during-machining-of-inconel-718-with-various-laser-assistance-strategies" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/72088.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">282</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7347</span> Gas Transmission Pipeline Integrity Management System Through Corrosion Mitigation and Inspection Strategy: A Case Study of Natural Gas Transmission Pipeline from Wafa Field to Mellitah Gas Plant in Libya</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Osama%20Sassi">Osama Sassi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Manal%20Eltorki"> Manal Eltorki</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Iftikhar%20Ahmad"> Iftikhar Ahmad</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Poor integrity is one of the major causes of leaks and accidents in gas transmission pipelines. To ensure safe operation, it is must to have efficient and effective pipeline integrity management (PIM) system. The corrosion management is one of the important aspects of successful pipeline integrity management program together design, material selection, operations, risk evaluation and communication aspects to maintain pipelines in a fit-for-service condition. The objective of a corrosion management plan is to design corrosion mitigation, monitoring, and inspection strategy, and for maintenance in a timely manner. This paper presents the experience of corrosion management of a gas transmission pipeline from Wafa field to Mellitah gas plant in Libya. The pipeline is 525.5 km long and having 32 inches diameter. It is a buried pipeline. External corrosion on pipeline is controlled with a combination of coatings and cathodic protection while internal corrosion is controlled with a combination of chemical inhibitors, periodic cleaning and process control. The monitoring and inspection techniques provide a way to measure the effectiveness of corrosion control systems and provide an early warning when changing conditions may be causing a corrosion problem. This paper describes corrosion management system used in Mellitah Oil & Gas BV for its gas transmission pipeline based on standard practices of corrosion mitigation and inspection. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=corrosion%20mitigation%20on%20gas%20transmission%20pipelines" title="corrosion mitigation on gas transmission pipelines">corrosion mitigation on gas transmission pipelines</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=pipeline%20integrity%20management" title=" pipeline integrity management"> pipeline integrity management</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=corrosion%20management%20of%20gas%20pipelines" title=" corrosion management of gas pipelines"> corrosion management of gas pipelines</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=prevention%20and%20inspection%20of%20corrosion" title=" prevention and inspection of corrosion"> prevention and inspection of corrosion</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/178928/gas-transmission-pipeline-integrity-management-system-through-corrosion-mitigation-and-inspection-strategy-a-case-study-of-natural-gas-transmission-pipeline-from-wafa-field-to-mellitah-gas-plant-in-libya" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/178928.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">76</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7346</span> Acrosomal Integrity, DNA Integrity and Post-Thawing Motility of Goat Semen after Methionine Supplementation</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=K.%20A.%20El-Battawy">K. Semen samples were diluted with a Tris-based extender containing the additive methionine 1.5, 2.5 and 5mM then the diluted samples were kept in glass tubes and cooled from 37°C to 5°C in a cold cabinet, and maintained at 5°C. Sperm motility (SM%), alive sperm (AS%), sperm abnormalities (SA%) acrosomal integrity and DNA integrity were determined at 5°C for periods of 0,24, 48and 72 h of liquid storage. Furthermore, the influence of methionine on post-thawing motility was assessed. The results elaborated that the addition of methionine and L-tyrosine particularly 2.5mM of methionine significantly improved SM% and reduced dead sperm %. Furthermore, the addition of 2.5mM methionine improved post-thawing motility (43.75 ± 1.25% vs. 32.50 ± 3.23 in the control group). Moreover, the frequency of acrosomal defects was lower in treated groups than in control. In conclusion, the addition of methionine induced remarkable physiological effects on goat semen quality during conservation for 7-days-long period at 5°C and improved its freezability. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=methionine" title="methionine">methionine</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=acrosome" title=" acrosome"> acrosome</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=semen" title=" semen"> semen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=cryopreservation" title=" cryopreservation"> cryopreservation</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/41790/acrosomal-integrity-dna-integrity-and-post-thawing-motility-of-goat-semen-after-methionine-supplementation" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/41790.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">405</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7345</span> Evaluation of Drilling-Induced Delamination of Flax/Epoxy Composites by Non-Destructive Testing Methods</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hadi%20Rezghimaleki">Hadi Rezghimaleki</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Masatoshi%20Kubouchi"> Masatoshi Kubouchi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yoshihiko%20Arao"> Yoshihiko Arao</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The use of natural fiber composites (NFCs) is growing at a fast rate regarding industrial applications and principle researches due to their eco-friendly, renewable nature, and low density/costs.
