<p>This information is for students who are responsible for paying their own tuition fees.</p> <p>If you are a Home undergraduate student and you have applied for a <a href="/study/fees-and-funding/undergraduate/loans/tuition-fee-loan/">Tuition Fee Loan</a>, please see information about paying your fee using a student loan on our <a If you have applied for your loan in time, you should not receive a tuition fee invoice as payment will be covered entirely by your loan, if you have applied for the correct amount.</p> <p>If you have applied for a Postgraduate loan, you will still be regarded as self-funding. If you do not receive this confirmation please <a href="https://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/nhs-bursary-students/contact-us">contact the NHS directly </a>to check the status of your application.</p> <p>You no longer need to send a copy of your Notification of Award to Imperial.</p> <h3>When to apply for an NHS bursary</h3> <p>Applications to the NHS for bursary support should normally be submitted by early June each year.</p> <p>You may make an application beyond this date. Find out more about <a href="/study/apply/postgraduate-taught/offer-holders/next-steps/submit-offer-conditions/">submitting the conditions of your offer</a>.</p> <p>You need to pay your tuition fees each year on the first day of the month closest to one month before your course starts, or within 30 days of invoicing, whichever date is the later of the two.</p> <p>You may make any number of payments towards the invoice total at any time after receiving your invoice.</p> <p>We will deduct any deposit payment received from the balance due.</p> <h3>Doctoral students</h3> <p>Doctoral students who start their studies on or after 1 September will be considered to be joining the new cohort for that academic year.</p> <p>You will be billed for a full 12 months fees at the cohort rate for the year of study, regardless of your start date.</p> <p>After this first year, your fees will be billed on the first day of the month closest to the anniversary of the course start date.</p> <hr> </div><div class="row wysiwyg"> <h2><a id="unpaid-fees"></a>Unpaid fees</h2> <p>If your fees have not been paid in full, you will not be allowed to proceed to the next year of your course and you will be required to withdraw from Imperial.</p> <p>Until fees and charges have been paid in full, your degree award will not be conferred and no certificate will be issued.</p> <hr> </div><div class="row wysiwyg"> <h2><a id="cas"></a>Student visa – Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)</h2> <p>Payments made by students requiring a student visa will be uploaded to their Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS).</p> <p>These payments will also be reflected on <a title="My Imperial Student Portal link opens in a new window" href="https://my.imperial.ac.uk/HomeScreen.aspx" target="_blank">My Imperial Student Portal</a>.</p> <p>You are strongly advised to check that any payments made are shown before booking a visa appointment. </p> <p>Payments made once the CAS has been issued may not be visible on My Imperial. Please contact the <a href="/study/apply/contact/">relevant Admissions team </a>for more information, if required.</p> <p>See the Guideline CAS payment upload times on our <a
