<br><br> Don't use third party booking services because you could pay up to twice as much for your test as you would if you book directly with official Directgov. <br><br> Do not apply for your theory already using the internet to view this page!<BR> Book via the OFFICIAL Gov UK Theory test booking<img src="startlarrow.gif" border="0" height=13 width=18 alt="2pass" align="absmiddle"><a href="https://www.gov.uk/book-a-driving-theory-test" target="_blank">Web Site</a> <br><br> <b> Don’t pay any extra for your theory and practical test bookings - make sure you use the official Gov UK website. <br> Booking with Gov UK guarantees a service that you can trust, and it will always be cheaper than a third party booking service. </b> <br><br> You should be able to:- <br>Book a theory test <br>Change a theory test booking <br>Cancel a theory test booking, or <br>Check a theory test booking <br><br> You will not be able to book another theory test on the same day if :-<BR> You sat a theory test today and failed; or <BR> You had a theory test booked for today but did not attend <BR> During the booking process you will need a provisional driving licence number and your valid credit or debit card. <br><br> If you book your Theory Test online, the DVSA will now send your confirmation by email rather than a letter by post. These changes have been made to help speed up the booking process, which means that you will receive confirmation much quicker than before. <br><br> <hr align=center width="80%" color="#CC0000" size=1> <h2> By Phone</h2> You can book your theory test by telephone, using your credit card or debit card. The person who books the test must be the cardholder. <BR>If you book by this method you’ll be given the date and time of your test immediately. <br><br> You can do this by calling <B>0300 200 1122 </B>at any time between 8am and 4pm Monday to Friday.<br> Welsh language booking line - 0300 200 1133<br> Minicom booking line - 0300 200 1166<br> Fax booking line - 0300 200 1177 <br><br> When you phone you should have your or the candidate's provisional driving licence number and your credit or debit card details.<BR> You will be given a number. <BR>Take this with you when you attend your test. <br><br> <b>Documents to take on your driving theory test</b><BR> You'll be expected to show a valid provisional driving licence at the test centre.<br><br> If you don't show the required documents you won't be allowed to test and you'll lose your fee. <br><br> <B>Special Notes</B><BR> If you wish to cancel your theory test appointment, you must give at least three whole working days notice, or you will forfeit your theory test fee. For example if you want to cancel your test and it is on a Tuesday, you will need to ring the booking office by the previous Wednesday afternoon at the latest. <BR> You can not book for another test until the next day after failing.
